So good! I've never had Indian food. My friend ordered butter chicken, tikka masala that came with two huge helpings of rice and different flavored bread. So so yummy! I was not sure what I was expecting but it's surpassed anything I imagined. The staff was so friendly and courteous. We will be back!

Located on Bryan Rd. Between Lake St. Louis and O'Fallon, this location has been multiple Indian restaurants. I used to patron this establishment when it was known as Tandoori King, and I thought it was good then! Now it's known as Persis Grill and it's even better! They updated the interior to give it more of a modern feel and offer all you can eat buffet dining inside. I got my food to go so didn't get to try the buffet options, but the food I did order was amazing! Best Samosas I've ever had! They're giant and have a delicious dough shell filled with potatoes and peas that go great dipped in their mint and cilantro sauce! The chicken saag was full of flavor with the chicken being moist and delectable. It had just the right amount of spice that added to the dish without overpowering the flavor. Both my dishes were prepared at a medium heat level with the saag being a bit spicier than the Aloo Gobi Marsala. The Marsala was also delicious, offering a vegetarian option with potatoes and cauliflower to pair with my chicken saag. They do close from 2:30-5pm so schedule accordingly!

I've eaten at Persis Indian Grill a few times and the food is so flavorful and the meats so tender, the customer service has also been really great. They recently added upscale touches to their interior that makes the dine in experience more enjoyable too - large comfortable booths, modern decor, etc. A few of my favorite dishes - Shrimp Tikka, Baby Corn Manchurian, Chicken Dum Biryani, Pepper Chicken, Garlic Naan & for dessert the Apricot Delight! They have a full bar including Indian beers & sodas, I like the Taj Mahal (lagar) and Thums Up (stronger version of coke-a-cola). The menu is huge so I look forward to my next visit to try some additional items. Food & service was amazing. A full menu of delicious options and a clean, comfortable atmosphere. I come eat here every time I fly to STL for work.

Wow, this was my 2nd time to Persis Indian Grill (after many years) and I left feeling just as pleased, if not better! It is NOT a fabrication: Persis makes the BEST garlic naan bread I have EVER had! There is loads of garlicky deliciousness and it tastes so wonderful with the rice and dishes. The food was delightful and had great portions. Also, is this the largest beer I've ever consumed in one sitting?! Perhaps. Thanks, Persis! I'll be back (and sooner, next time!) for more. PS they are going through renovations right now but still make sure to host an enjoyable atmosphere and excellent service despite the temporary seating area. Support your local businesses!

Nice people and great food. We have been coming here since the name changed and long before that. My only issue is that they do not havea chicken korma on the menu. I have always eaten in, and it's a pretty clean place with plenty of parking. I REALLY enjoy the breakfast dosa - served after 10am on Friday and Saturdays. It is as long as the table, and very flavorful. My other favorite is the tikka masala. Best Indian restaurant within 20 miles.

I was hopeful that they were possibly just very busy at that moment. The parking lot is shared with several other businesses located in this plaza. There is disabled parking in front of the business, but the ramp is in front of Sauce on the Side next door. As I entered this casual spot, they were very busy on this Saturday night. You can place your order online or at the walk up counter. There were several people in front of me, but the line moved fast. The menu is on the board behind the counter and you can see some of the fresh items displayed. There are some tables inside the restaurant if you decide to stay. It seems that the majority of the people ordered takeout. I ordered the onion pakoda, which is similar to onion straws, and it was a huge serving, enough for 2-4 people. It was served warm and crispy. The onions were sweet and the fried batter had good flavor. I tried the weekend special, which were 3 vegetarian choices out of 5-6: Palak Paneer, Paneer Butter Masala and Eggplant curry. Rice or naan does not come with it. It costs extra. The garlic naan was fresh and flavorful. The Palak Paneer was adequate, mildly spiced, and about what I expected. The paneer butter masala was well-spiced and had a slight capsaicin kick. The eggplant curry was absolutely delicious and rather spicy. I'm glad I had a drink close by. This was a very good value as I had enough leftover for another meal.

I noticed that a lot of people of Indian descent occupy most of the tables and that is always a good sign that the food is authentic. I really enjoy the tandoori shrimp, the butter chicken, tikka masala, and egg noodles. The garlic naan comes in regular and spicy and I highly recommend both. It is an excellent reason to eat carbs!

My friends and I ordered a variety of dishes so we could try a bit of everything. While everything tasted good, it was overwhelmingly spicy. Other than my friends' kids, we all can usually handle spicy foods, but even the Level 1 spicy was difficult to continue eating. I don't think they got their spice levels right; the level 1 and level 2 Tikka masala tasted the same, yet the heat felt more like a level 4. My friends spent nearly $80 on their meals for themselves and their kids, but the only ting they could manage to eat was the naan. I gave them a rating of 3 not only because the confusing spice levels, but mostly because the service was okay. We ordered Long Island Iced tea, but our server completely forgot about it and eventually brought it to us after our food came out with all the ice melted. With all the spice we're eating, I also would think they would be a bit more attentive with refilling our drinks, too. If you enjoy spicy foods, I definitely recommend this spot. The food was good, just way too spicy. However, definitely not for kids, and if you can't handle a bit of spice, then this is not the place for you either.

Great food, service, and atmosphere!…read more This space is massive so bring in your family, friends, colleagues, and teams in for a great meal. The portions and prices are amazing. They have vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options too. I would say the biggest meat protein on the menu is chicken. They have great music playing and some nights have live singers playing as you eat. They have a full cocktail and liquor menu so grab a drink on the patio and enjoy some gobi and naan to snack on. I loved their kid menu options and names so grab those picky little eaters. They offer a lunch buffet on the weekends too so come and fill those bellies with healthy and tasty food. It's not all spicy but you can certainly tell the cooks to crank up that heat flavor on your dishes. The staff was one of the best parts. They all were so friendly and gave their best recommendations and pairings. They moved as a team and everyone knew what we ordered and got it out fast. This location is very accessible and the bathroom set up is top tier. They have multiple seating options and a chair or two can be easily removed for wheelchair users. The silverware was strong but not too heavy which is great for those with less muscle control or littles learning to use utensils.

I made a reservation, but when we got there, it was so empty and toldwasn't necessary to have a reservation. We were there at 7:00 on a Saturday night and there were only eight other diners in the huge restaurant and I believe there were four outside. We were seated right away and then menus were brought over. They have an extensive cocktail/beverage menu and a separate food menu that was also rather large. We ordered our martinis and started on the food menu. We ended up ordering way too much food! I had the French Martini and do not recommend it. I had a Lemon Drop Martini after that and it was good. My husband had two Dirty Martinis and liked them. We started with the Samosa Chaat and it was good! It was actually the food we liked best. We ordered some Butter Naan but there was very little butter. We asked the server what his favorite entrees were and he mentioned one of the things I had been looking out, so I ordered it. Then he tells me one diner had complained that it was too chewy. I think he expected me to change my mind. I did not, but wish I had. I had the Lamb Roganjosh. The flavor was good, but the lamb was very chewy because it was full of fat. I have never had an Indian lamb dish that had lamb like that in it. My husband had Goat Bhutan Masala. He said it was okay. It did say it was bone-in goat, but the bones were tiny and hard to find until they were in his mouth. My husband had looked up their menu online and had seen fried jalapeños on it, but they weren't on the menu. They made some for him anyway and they were so hot, they were inedible. We were taken care of by three different people and they were all great! The space inside is huge and the patio probably doubles the seating they have inside. There were ten of us in the restaurant for a while and I think only six more came in before we left at 8:30. They are open from 11:00 AM until midnight. They have live music in Saturdays, but not the Saturday we were there. There are a some Indian restaurants in the area that we really like, so I don't think we'll be back.
