We used a different company in the past and switched because we still experienced breakthrough mosquitoes. I couldn't stand paying for a spray service while still acting as a meal to these nasty bugs. We hired Backyard Patrol and were able to enjoy the backyard over the summer without getting decimated by mosquitoes & ticks. Not sure what formula they use but it works well. A Very reliable service. Emails communications are fantastic! Customer service is awesome, very responsive. After rain, there were breakthrough events but not bad at all and they would show up right after to spray us down. I believe the key is regular and early initiation of service to combat the problem. I don't care if other critters are taken as well, a reduction in fire flies for instance. but we enjoy fire fly watching from one home down. A very small sacrifice IMO for the health and safety of my family. It's worth it to me. Mosquitoes and ticks are frightening vectors for deadly diseases and in these crazy uncertain times of pandemic, I won't risk our well being. If you pay in full you get a good discount. We still get bites on occasion, especially right before our next scheduled service, but it's 1000 times better than it was before. I am a mosquito magnet and before we started treatment I was consistently covered in bites from early May to late October--often getting 5+ bites within only a few minutes of being outside. Every time. Now I only get about 5 bites the whole season. The difference is amazing, and we are very happy with the company's service overall. Now called Pat's Termite & Pest Service, we chose them after speaking directly to the owner, Pat…read moreTierno--who explained in normal, layperson's language how he would finally stifle the nagging roach problem we'd unwittingly inherited from our previous next-door neighbors. They moved; their roaches apparently chose to stay. Having met these people, I can see the roaches' point. But I digress. Pat promised to come in with weapons of mass bug destruction; annihilating the pests with great vengeance and furious anger. Actually, I made that part up. He did, however, address our primary concern--how to exterminate the bugs without harming our two small dogs. We were assured that he could easily solve the problem without presenting any risk to our pets whatsoever. Fortunately, the bug problem was confined to the kitchen, so Pat instructed us to remove everything from the cabinets and drawers for his initial visit. And yes, he came out himself to do the work--no underling technicians or interns. He was prompt, courteous, and quick; and the chemical(s) he used were surprisingly subtle. I was fully expecting the smell of napalm to linger for days, but that just wasn't the case. Aside from the complete contents of our kitchen being temporarily housed in the dining room, you'd never know an exterminator had been here. Pat explained that the initial treatment was the big one, but he would return for two additional smaller treatments over the next few weeks. For those, we wouldn't even have to clear out the cabinets. These would just be "touch-ups", as he put it. While Pat explained that these types of problems don't simply go away overnight, ours almost did. We saw a marked improvement immediately, and by the time he returned for the first touch-up, we weren't even finding dead bugs anymore. It's like they were never here. And most importantly, the dogs are perfectly fine. I'd highly recommend Pat's based on this experience alone, but the fact that he also came in significantly cheaper than other estimates absolutely sealed the deal. Knowing that Pat also treats for termites and other pest-preventive measures, I gleefully cancelled a prior contract with a much larger service I'd been overpaying for years--a company that wasn't capable of handling the roach problem because of our dog situation. I'm looking forward to giving that business to Pat's for years to come, and recommending him to our new (and considerably better) neighbors as well.

Update 1: So according to the initial inspection, we didn't have a big roach problem in our home. After 2 times of spraying and baits, there has been an increase in the roaches. I quite haven't figured out if it's the weather, but how does the population increase drastically from seeing 2,3 roaches to about 10,15 roaches in a small time span of 3,4 weeks. The quest goes on!! Update2: After the initial warranty rolled off, I sneakily ordered myself the same bug-gel from Amazon. Had to re-do it. 11 months in , have only seen 2 roaches. The trick is to keep the kitchen exceptionally clean . Clean kitchen plus roach-gel should do the trick.
