Although this was preventative only, Jon insisted on doing a thorough inspection from basement to attic. We had pest end for many years and this year they offered a new plan over the phone for 38 dollars per month. When I stated it was cheaper than paying the regular yearly plan she agreed so of course I gave the go ahead. Come to find out I still have to pay the annual fee plus the monthly fee which is over 800.00 per year when you add the annual plus monthly. I found other exterminators for a much cheaper price in the local area who will do the same with no monthly fee. Very disappointed with pest end, especially since I always recommended their service. read more

I can't say enough about Pest-End! They're fast, effective and affordable and their technicians are knowledgeable, experienced and highly professional! Troy came out to our beach house today and got up in our attic which is a crawl space and checked both traps up in that space and the 3 on the outside of the hose and found the dead rodent in one of the traps they set and was the root of our problem. After they came out and started the service they said they made a mistake on the price and needed to significantly increase it. They refused to uphold their contract. We had a technician named Heather come to our home earlier this afternoon for our 6 month exterior bug/insect spray. Heather is a dynamo! She addressed my concerns about ants, and "stink bugs." She worked methodically spraying the exterior of our home. She answered all my questions, and didn't laugh at me when I said I make my husband snatch a "stink bug" that flew in through an ajar door. My fiancé and I got a yearly plan with Pest End in 2017 when we bought our first house. We put our house on the market spring of 2018. We called to cancel our plan in March. Our plan was good through June so we were told we were all set and they would mark it as cancelled. Fast forward to July 2018. We are now told we need to pay for the year. We explained that we cancelled over the phone, and weren't given anything in writing. No emails or letters to the house, we were verbally told it was all set. Now Pest End wants $200 because they can't find a record of the cancellation and unless WE can provide such records they expect to be paid. Well I can't provide records we weren't given. I'm also unsure why it is our responsibility to keep track of their records. Don't use Pest End. They will just attempt to charge for services cancelled and never used read more

Pest End installed a Sentricon system for me 10 years ago and have provided uneventful maintenance since. This spring I called them with a squirrel problem. They took the time to educate me about how to handle things myself. They could have easily taken me for the rube that I am and come out to fake it themselves. Integrity. read more

Completely incompetent, disorganized, poorly run - and they literally do half the job! 1) I hired them to show up for a pest inspection at a house I was going to buy. To start, the person shows up a couple minutes shy of a half hour late for the job. RED FLAG! 2) He then inspects a 3000 square foot house in literally 10 minutes. 10 minutes! RED FLAG! No competent inspection of a house can be done in 10 minutes! After coming out and saying the house is fine, my wife (I was not present) then says, "Well, what about the signs of carpenter ant damage?" He replies, "What damage? I didn't see it. Can you show me?" 2) RED FLAG! If a layperson is showing the "expert" where the damage is, what else did he miss? 3) My wife then shows it to him, and he says, "It's old and you're fine". My wife then asks him to write down his findings on the report. He refuses, "It's the only copy I have, and I've already stated everything is ok". RED FLAG! What kind of qualified inspector has only 1 sheet of paper to fill out a report on? My wife actually made him fill it out. They spent almost 20 minutes doing this - longer than he spent inspecting the house! 4) I then call the owner and complain. He tells me that being late is "OK", because it's just a window for arrival. And that any service company, like COMCAST, gives you a window. RED FLAG! When you compare your service to COMCAST, you know you're doing badly. 5) He then tells me that his person thoroughly inspected the property, and that he noticed the carpenter damage. "Did he tell you he noticed it after my wife had to take him to the spot?" Crickets. 6) Then he tells me that the carpenter ant damage was only restricted to between two floor joists, and that's easy to miss because they only inspect every other floor joist. RED FLAG! RED FLAG! RED FLAG! WAIT - you only inspect half the wood? He literally told me that, if you hire them, they will only look at half your property. Truly, a half-assed job! Stay away from these fools unless you want to get a half-assed job by someone who will only inspect half your property. read more

Had a bee problem in my dryer vent. Got a two day appointment. Technician came out very polite. Treated area and told me that if I still have a problem the area was under warranty until December and to call. I gladly paid him $200. I was emailed a receipt reintegrating the warranty. Three days after the treatment I didn't notice any bee activity outside so I sealed the outside of house as instructed. Fast forward 10 days. Bees are coming into the house thru ceiling fan because obviously they are still alive and can't get out thru the sealed entrance they came in. So I call Pest end and explain that I have bees coming into my home thru the fan and I am told they are all booked and the earliest they could come is in ten days. I explained that the problem was not mitigated the first time and I have bees flying around my house. The receptionist was nice but said there was nothing they could do for me any earlier than ten days. So for the next ten days I will be chasing bees around my house because Pest End didn't take care of the problem the first time and would not make my warranty a priority. read more

Very disappointed! The office doesn't give you much information about the service that you will receive until the technician comes out and confirms what you've already told the office, in my case, I knew I had mice and stated so, but I wasn't sure if there was anything else because of the timeframe that I was hearing noises in the ceiling of my home. I also walked the technician around my property and pointed out the areas of concern. He did not identify these areas, I was showing him. And while doing so I asked him if he saw any other areas where mice, chipmunks or squirrels my access the house. The technician, really was only prepared to address mice. I asked the technician how many bait traps he was going to place and his answer was he would count them as he went along. I also explained to the technician that I am a board member of a condominium association in Maine and we had a similar situation with rodents, and what they did was spray the entire perimeter with basil and thyme (people/pet/eco friendly) in addition to putting bait traps outside that actually look like rocks, blending in with the natural landscape. The technician knew nothing about basil and thyme and did not have the bait traps that look like rocks, but if he did those were an additional $10 . After his work was complete he came in to the home and told me the fee was $300. My goal was to make sure that I was addressing any and all concerns of rodents or alike, getting into the house, but at the end of the day the only change that I know for sure is that the mice have been addressed. I was not given any documentation when the technician left however I asked if there was any kind of warrenty And he stated that I would be getting a copy of the invoice that he was catching out on his digital pad along with the warranty. I hadn't received it, the following day I contacted the office told me that my email address was typed in wrong but they were correcting it and sending it off. I have not received it as yet. read more

DO NOT USE THEM. A tech came out for a bat call at my office. They tried ONCE to catch the poor bat, then ended up using a sticky trap to kill it. They are completely heartless and inhumane. There is absolutely not reason to kill a harmless animal. I would never recommend them in a million years. It was completely traumatic and awful to watch them. I hope no one ever uses their services again. read more
