We've recently experienced ants running all over the house. Search on Google and found Pest no. 1 and has pretty good reviews, so we call for an inspection. One of their technician told us over the phone that they offer free inspection and estimates. Well, we figured there's nothing to lose if it's free inspection. We set an appointment and the technician came on time and very respectful. We show him where the ants were and it was multiple areas invested. He check everywhere and even went to the basement area and found that the ants were actually coming from the dirt and couple holes under the house. He took pictures and came back to show us and offered 3 different kinds of treatment, spray, bait and dust. The price was very reasonable and it came with 2 follow ups. So we did the treatment and was hoping that it work. We previously had bad ant problems and they keep coming back, we also tried other pest control companies but it didn't work out. This time after the couple treatments, we stop seeing ants which is very surprising. I think it was because he went into the basement and treated where the ants were really coming from, which other companies didn't do. He stop the ants and we havent seen them since. I found Pest No.1 on yelp and decided to gave them a try. It turned out great and i was really impressed. I have Cockroaches in 4 unit in my apartment complexes. Otis, the technician was very experienced and professional. Came by with his full gear and started to figured out where the cockroaches came in from. Then set bates and traps everywhere and prevented all the other units from having it. There was a unit that was really bad and cockroaches was inside the back of the microwave, so he used powder and some type of gel around the area but suggested to throw it away because it was hidden inside the electrical. I didnt know but theres no way to kill them inside the eletricals and i could've voided my guaranteed for all 4 units. Luckily, he told the time to explain it to me thoroughly and now i have experience about how to avoid and prevent them from spreading. It was all hidden in the microwave so they kept coming back. We recently discovered rats in our attic and in between our walls. Found Pest No. 1 on Yelp and decided to give them a call. The technical Otis was very polite and sounds knowledgeable. He offered me a free inspection and it always good to get a free estimate and find out where it's coming from. I tried calling Clark pest control, which supposedly a big company but doesn't offer to do attic control. Anyways, the technical came by and went straight to work and found 3 different entry way and all from the attic. The squirrel made an opening previously and the rats came from the fence to the trees and got on the roof and into the attics. He show me the path that he found and it was amazing how the rats got in the attic. I was very surprised! But fortunately, the technical was able to patch up the holes and remove some branches so the rats can't claim and get in anymore. I actually didn't end up using Pest No. 1. I had strange droppings under a plant. I called Orkin and they said it was definitely mouse and scheduled a $350 appointment to come exterminate. They didn't want to see pictures or anything - they were coming over! I told them to slow it down a little and called Pest No. 1 and spoke with Otis. I described the droppings, and he said it could be mouse, but he wanted pictures. I sent them to him and he said, "Nope, those aren't mouse. No kind of rodent. I can't charge you to get rid of something you don't have. Call the county Ag department ." It turned out to be caterpillar droppings, and Otis not only saved me a visit, he told me where to get more info. This company has great service good technicians. They responded with a quick call back and came by and gave us a free inspection. We had rodent problems in the attic and found out they came from the crawl space. Otis was a nice guy and very knowledgeable. He seal all the opening, sanitize and set traps in both the attic and crawl space. He returned in 3 days and found 1 dead rat, then 3 days later we were having smell from under the house, so we called him again and this time found 3 more dead rats. I was very glad he came right back and pick them up. The smell was so bad we knew it wasn't healthy for the kids. He cleaned up again and sanitize as he picked up the mess. We have rats in the basement and its been running all over the living room and our stairway. I think its been raining and they were coming in from under the house. We called pest 1 and they send a technique named Otis for inspection. He told us that we have couple opening from our crawlspace and thats where the entry way for the rats to come in. We ask if he can do the job amd good thing he can because my familys dont want them to build a family in our home. He clean up the droppings and spray the whole area then set trays all over. I hardly leave reviews but these guys are incrediable. I called couple of the big companies regarding bed bugs and they just keep coming back. Not sure what happened and how they keep coming back. Pest 1 came the first time and still didnt take care of the problem. They returned and finally figured it out and it was going from room to room through our venting system. No one can figure it out but this local compnay, which was surprisingly good. They bomb all the venting and finally we got rid of the bed bugs. We havent seen them since their second visit. I found this company by Thumbtacks and the technician was quite professional. He gave me the scope of work and did a great job with rodent proofing my attic and crawlspace. Although it took hours for the technician to finish, he actually did a good job. We used to hear the rodents in between the walls and ceiling at night and we don't hear them anymore. We had raccoons come in the house and we ended up with fleas. They came out and sprayed around the house and we bug bombed the inside and now we're flea free!
