Despite Vader being a giant baby every time he has to go to the vet, and the 17 year old Princess…read morethe cat also hating it- these really are the best vets in town and possibly the best we've ever had for these two animals of mine. They don't do unnecessary tests and are fair, honest and kind. Despite Vader just wanting to escape (or Princess wanting to bite) it's not their fault in anyway shape or form. The vets are all nice, and try their best to make Vader less fearful. My 17 year old cat- well- they just let her be 17 and grouchy. They don't push vet diets and understand owners (and their budgets). If you need a vet in this very busy area- try to wait for these guys. It's worth it.

We trusted Meridian Veterinary Hospital with our Golden Retriever, Lola, for over a year, but after…read moreour recent experiences, we can no longer recommend them. Last fall, we brought Lola in for persistent sinus troubles, including reverse sneezing, snorting, reduced airflow in one nostril, and a poor response to antibiotics. Over three separate visits, the veterinarians repeatedly brushed off our concerns, insisting it was likely just allergies or something she ingested like foxtail weed. Heartbroken and needing real answers, we brought Lola to the University of Minnesota Veterinary Medical Center while traveling. Within a single visit, two fourth-year veterinary students independently and immediately identified what Meridian Vet Hospital's team had completely missed: a nasal tumor--a condition well-known to affect Golden Retrievers. Was it incompetence that the Meridian Vet Hospital's team continued to miss such an easy diagnosis? We will never know. However, we informed Dr. Higer and the other vets at Meridian Vet Hospital of the diagnosis, requested additional guidance and received absolutely no help. Through independent research, we pursued radiation surgery treatment at a vet oncology center of excellence in Colorado and we are profoundly grateful that Lola is now in remission. The final break in our trust came a few months later when Lola needed a routine heartworm prescription renewal. She has never missed a single monthly dose and had been fully tested just two months prior. Yet, Meridian Vet Hospital's staff and vets rigidly insisted that we bring her in for another full exam by a vet (not a tech) and expensive bloodwork--costing nearly $150--before they would release her medication. Between missing a relatively easy diagnosis of a life-threatening cancer and putting financial demands ahead of a patient's clear medical history, Meridian Veterinary Hospital deeply let our family down. We have officially taken our care elsewhere and urge other pet parents to advocate closely for their companions.

I…read morehad already seen a big, fancy vet office with her, but wasn't a fan, so I ended up choosing this smaller, more personal and intimate veterinary Clinic, and I'm so happy I did! Not only is it a cozy house turned into a vet clinic, but the people there are so inviting and kind. Cali gets excited to go there because she knows she'll get all kinds of treats and attention. They let her wander around the office to check everything out, so she feels comfortable. As an added bonus, they schedule so you're the only patient/customer in the clinic at the time of your appointment. No worry of dogs not getting along with others, or any kind of chaos. It's really nice. Dr. Hunter is lovely. She is thorough and takes all things into consideration for any possible treatments. She doesn't provide treatment, unless she truly believes it's necessary, so as not to put any stress on your pet's system or throw any part of their system out of balance. She has food recommendations, and tests as necessary. She clearly has an affinity for animals, and you can see it in the way she cares for them. We are very lucky to have found this place. I feel confident that Cali is getting the care she needs!
