On our most recent visit, my dog was struggling to swallow, but there were other dogs that were prioritized due to severity, which I understand, but we waited until after midnight, and still didn't get the care we needed. We eventually just left, and saw urgent care the next morning, so my dog had to suffer through the night. I will say the vet tech we had on this last visit was very kind (why I gave an extra star), and at least gave my pup some attention, but after she left, she never came back to check on my dog for over two hours!!! I didn't know if they had just forgotten that we were there, or just didn't care. I do not recommend this pet hospital, and I will not be going there again, for any reason. There are better pet hospitals in the area, which I will go to instead.

We were given estimates at the time of service and made decisions based on those numbers. However, additional charges were later presented that were not clearly communicated or aligned with what we understood and agreed to. We paid the high end of the surgical estimate, yet are now being pursued for more without clear justification. Beyond the financial concerns, the way this situation has been handled has felt unprofessional and unnecessarily aggressive, including threats of collections before a clear resolution process. We are currently working to resolve the balance, but we will also be filing a complaint with the Idaho State Board of Veterinary Medicine due to concerns about transparency and communication. We strongly encourage others to ask very detailed questions and get everything clearly documented before proceeding with care here.

Not only did they breach our contract, but has repeatedly lied about important details regarding the puppy I was a home guardian for. Her & her business partners behavior has been incredibly inconsiderate and disrespectful, and I'm deeply concerned about the well-being of the animals they are breeding. I was brought on as a home guardian to care for and train a puppy for the breeder, under the impression I was his owner while they had breeding rights. Over the past nine months, I've fully committed to providing this puppy with a loving, stable home--training him, taking him to all his vet appointments, and covering the costs for his care and well-being. This is not only heartbreaking but deeply frustrating, as I fulfilled every aspect of our agreement while she has completely disregarded her commitments, breaching contract, involving family members who are not included on the contract, and giving the puppy expired supplements called (get me going), causing him to overdose. This resulted in me taking him to the emergency vet for over 48 hours, due to being so lethargic, dehydrated, causing him to have uncontrollable bowel movements, no appetite, and had been foaming at the mouth. However, after all my time, effort, and financial investment, the breeder has now taken the puppy back without any regard for the bond we've built or the responsibility I've shown, while blatantly ignoring all calls and texts with the concern of his whereabouts and why he was never returned to his guardian home. These breeder have demonstrated a total disregard for ethical practices and have been compulsive liars throughout our interactions. It's clear that they should not be entrusted with the care and breeding of animals. I strongly urge others to be cautious and reconsider purchasing from them. There are many reputable breeders who genuinely care about the animals they bring into the world--unfortunately, these individuals are not one of them. Please do your research and protect yourself and the animals involved. If you're considering a home guardian program, please be cautious and make sure you're working with a breeder who is honest, professional, and truly values the well-being of both the animals and the people involved.

We were able to carry him in on his own bedding, which he stayed on until the end. We were given all the time we needed to privately say good-bye. We were given water, tissues, and comfort. They even offered the option of leaving out the side door if we didn't want to be emotional in front of people in the waiting room. A couple weeks later, we received a beautiful copy of the "Rainbow Bridge" poem with our dog's paw print on it. The entire staff signed a hand-made card offering their condolences. When I came back to pick up his ashes, the staff once again gave such heartfelt condolences. I wasn't just a number, and it showed!

We first visited over a year again on recommendation of Critter Clinic for teeth cleaning for Scamp. He was very thorough in explaining cat's mouth and teeth, which 3 others clinics had neglected to provide. The other places only said he needed cleaning but not why. My cat wasn't the easiest to handle but they did a great job. Surgery went well and Dr Smith followed up. We returned a year later when my cat was failing, Dr Smith and staff were great with explaining and treatment. Scamp improved but then he as failing again and we chose to put our beloved kitty to sleep after much agony. Pawspital once again were the best comfort and care for my pet and me. Since that time, we have brought a new fur baby into our household and Dr Mills is who we called right away. We were told he was healthy. He wasn't. I brought Blue in for a weight check 3-4 weeks after his checkup. He had lost nearly a pound in that time. He wouldn't eat. His behavior had changed. No one followed up on my concerns. I called River City Vet a few days after the weight check because Blue was lethargic and wouldn't eat or drink. We were told they didn't have time for us. I took Blue in to West Vet for IV fluids every day for 3 days. My husband was out of the country and made an emergency flight home from Japan while we struggled to keep Blue alive so he could say goodbye to his favorite human. Blue died in our arms on Easter Sunday, a few hours after my husband got home. He was only 6 years old.
