    Medium size cockatiel breading box.

Found my cocktail breading box here. The price was ok considering this place was much closer than the previous breading box I had bought. Owner was really nice don't get fooled by mad clients with bad reviews. My experience was pleasant.

The store is pretty big, but doesn't have a lot of aquatic selections. The fish tanks didn't look very appealing. The place had a strong smell of the animals.

This sign is from pet city and is seen heading east bound towards Whittier whittwood center. Or west bound towards the Whittier Quad.Depends where you coming from. POV be like.

Great variety in animal products. The store is very large and organized. Prices are better than any chain pet store. Staff is very attentive

I came to Pet City yesterday morning. The store was disgusting, and the whole place smelled like feces and urine. It was about 9:30 when I got there, and they opened at 9 - apparently the owners are too cheap to pay an employee to come in an hour early, and make sure the store is clean and the animals' cages aren't full of shit before the customers arrive. It was hard for ME to breathe inside this store, I can't imagine what it's like to be stuck inside those cages all the time. Poor animals. Not to mention, several of the puppies were about a year old.. and all of that time has been spent stuck inside a tiny cage, sometimes with another dog, with barely enough space to move. Some dogs in the open pens recoiled into the corner when I approached them. A couple of dogs were running in circles or digging in their cage the entire time I was there. It was really depressing to watch. The bunnies had yellow stains on their fur from urine. The urine smell coming from the mice cage made me gag. I also noticed some of the fish for sale in cups (Bettas, I think?) were dead. And to put things into perspective, I'm not a squeamish person, or someone who's easily grossed out. I worked at a vet's office for years, so I'm used to cleaning up after animals. But the level of filth inside this store is unacceptable. As an animal lover, I would never spend my money somewhere with such little regard for animals. How is this place still open?

I will never support this store. I made the mistake of coming in here (simply because of its close proximity) to look for a special brand of food before I did more internet research. When I fond the food, all the bags expiration dates had already passed by months. Since know one takes the time to dust the shelve. It's very sad when you walk around the store. On top of that, I can not support a pet supply store that has the audacity to sell animals - What year is this?! It's cruel. The animals they have there look depressed out of their mind. I guess you would to if you're locked up in a small cage for eight hours. For higher quality service and food, I would recommend Healthy Paws on 1st Ave.

I was driving by and realized that I needed some stuff for my cats and my dog and I like smaller local so I went into Pet City. The blond lady who works there was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and though she was very busy she helped every customer in there in a friendly and professional manner. I like this store even though it's far from my house I will continue to do business here.

I'm giving it 4 stars strictly on the prices. I think the store needs a little TLC and it's employees.

Yeah, not so "Spic-n-span". I definitely looks family owned/run. I wasn't shopping but or seems like you'd get a good deal here.

Customers beware…read more Ever since manager La Shaan left, this Petco grooming salon seems to be falling apart. I was nervous about booking my dog's first appointment without her regular groomer. Before scheduling, I spoke with Samantha, who reassured me that she remembered my dog and knew how her previous groomer always groomed her. That gave me enough confidence to book. On the day of the appointment, I spoke directly with her and we specifically agreed not to shave my dog down. I asked for about an inch off all over and explained that I understood if her underside needed to be shaved because I had felt a few mats there. That was the only area I expected to be shaved. Instead, I picked up my dog hours early to find she had been given a full buzz cut. The only fur left was on her tail (which still had mats) and a rounded "dome" on her head. There was no blending, tapering, or feathering just harsh, blunt transitions between her body, tail, and head. I was honestly shocked. After processing what happened, I called to speak with a manager and hopefully find a resolution. I ended up speaking with Franco. Rather than trying to understand my concerns, his responses felt dismissive and argumentative. He repeatedly asked questions like, "Is that okay, or is that not okay?" when I simply agreed to wait for a callback. He told me someone would follow up within 20 minutes, but that turned into well over an hour. When he finally called back, I was told there was nothing they could do because I had supposedly "agreed to shave her." WhenI specifically emphasized that I didn't want her shaved down, only trimmed by about an inch, except for the underside if necessary due to matting. Samantha had even tried to convince me to shave her beforehand, and I clearly declined. Mistakes happen, but what really disappointed me was the complete lack of accountability and customer service afterward. Instead of listening or trying to make things right, they dismissed my concerns. I won't be returning, and I can't recommend this grooming salon. Save yourself the disappointment and take your pet somewhere that values communication and stands behind its work.

I flagged down an employee who sed only the manger could help me with the animal. Ok never had that problem anywhere else but ok. So he says he'll be right with me... we wander and wait for almost 20 min. Manager comes over and says I see you're interested in getting one of our tarantulas. I say yes and he proceeds to say "unfortunately we are done selling animals for the night and that I'd have to come back tomorrow". I literally was like are you joking?! He sed no I'm not I just used the last of my time to help someone with a hamster and I have to tend to the animals in the back befor I run out of time. It was only 7:15pm. They close at 9pm. I asked if someone else could help me. He sed no because no one there is trained to handle the animals. (I've quite literally purchased animals 10 min before closing and someone anyone has always helped me) I asked if I could purchase the tarantula and then retrieve it on my own if they unlocked and gave me a box he sed "Sorry no we don't allow that" (Again I've done it befor multiple times-sometimes because an employee was terrified of touching the spiders) So I leave annoyed and confused and kinda ticked off that I waited when I was told I was gonna be helped. Didnt think I was gonna be back the next day but there I was picking up dog food bright and early with my friend and we stop in again. I walk up to Franco and ask if he could help me out with the purchase of an animal. "No problem" he says. Another employee helps me with filling out paperwork and Franco asks if I have the proper set up. I let him know I'm a keeper of Ts as I call them and he lets me know he's the general manager. So I ask him some questions regarding the day before. I told him it would've taken not even 5 mins to collect the tarantula cause at that very moment the employee who helped me with paper work came back in less than 5min with the T I requested and sed she was so calm and cooperative. He apologized for the employees rudeness and lack of customer service aswell as for me having to come all the way back out (I live near west la). Franco was a pleasant delight and cause of him I WILL be back! :) (FYI THE STARS ARE FOR FRANCO! )

There were four stations in the main room and it was well air conditioned which I appreciated in today's 106 degree weather. I went in the middle of the week in the late afternoon and it was empty, which is nice for my anxious pup. Each station was immaculate! They each had a foam mat so the doggies don't slip, the towels were not tattered and worn thin like some places, the water pressure and temperature was spot on, quiet but strong dryers right next to each station, and best of all....ADJUSTABLE HEIGHT stations. Saved my back and easy for the pups to get in when lowered. I met the owners and they were super friendly. After the bath, they offered my dog a treat and while she was being shy and anxious, she did eventually eat it. I appreciate that special care and touch they establish with their customers. They also have a frequently flyer deal for baths which is nice for those that plan to come regularly. I'll have to go back on a non-bath day and check out the other stuff in the store. They seem to have a pretty good selection of toys, treats, and food.
