Alexa during her stay at Pet Er
    Jae M.

Our cat Alexa, was constipated, wasn't able to pass bowel movements for five days, then started to not eat or drink water. She was also vomiting white foam. We got her into Pet ER right away. They were quick to examine her. Told her she needed to stay for two days they will put her on IV and manually remove her bowel movements. Her bowel movements were hard like rocks and built up behind her pelvic bone. Dr. Azagrar was very informative and thorough his work. The nurses and staff were amazing, very helpful and friendly .we put $1000 deposit down and got approved for care credit card to pay for the rest of the $4000. They updated us 2 to 3 times a day with Alexa's progress with phone calls, sent pictures and text messages. When we picked her up, they gave us all the right medication and her blood work information ,physical examination notes, diagnosis, assessment ,care she received during her visit there and home care. Thank you Pet Er for everything we are truly grateful for your service and support.

Amazing ER vet! Caring, thorough and professional. They don't oversell unnecessary scans and tests. They treat the problem accordingly. The staff are amazing from the front desk to the nurses and doctors . I've been a few times for my maltipoo and she always receives excellent care

My boy still has more car rides in his future thanks to Dr Azragar!

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude to your entire staff…read more My husband and I have visited many animal hospitals over the years, and your 24/7 facility is truly the best emergency animal hospital we have experienced. During our recent visit, I watched your team skillfully and attentively handle a wide range of situations--from a puppy who ate chocolate chip cookies to a dog with a bleeding nail--all while managing more critical cases in the back area. Dr. Ross was wonderful with our 14-year-old dog, who was experiencing "old dog syndrome." Having gone through this with his sister a few months ago, we felt deeply reassured by Dr. Ross's care and left confident that he will be feeling better in a few days. Thank you to everyone on your staff for showing such incredible compassion and care to every animal that comes through your doors.

No help from them just simply whatever. Please take your hard earned money elsewhere. These people will take advantage and rob yoy blind. I will probably press charges after this kind of Lowsy treatment. This was traumatic for my dog and myself. Entrusted his care to childish morons. They knew and comprehended less than a 4 year old. Total embarrassment. Please spare yourself the time and aggravation. Simply just go elsewhere. Veg er say they are the best. Clearly they have no clue. I asked for assistance and simply got aggravated. Pathetic! I would never take a pet or any animal there. Horrible.

What an incredible group of people!…read more My dog is susceptible to pneumonia and when he had a wet cough on a Sunday, I knew it couldn't wait for his primary vet on Monday. In the past we went ton other emergency vets and unfortunately it was always a long wait, you were away from your dog the entire time, and they wouldn't release your dog to you until after you paid. VEG is different than all those places. We were seen immediately and while they do have an open concept ER, they gave us a private room just in case. The nurse (Diana) and the vet (Dr. Schwartz) were all incredible. They took such good care of our dog and us! They allow you to be with your pet during X-rays which I found amazing. No paying first then waiting for your pet to be discharged. You're as hands on as you're comfortable being. Amazing place.

What is there to say besides don't trust this place with your pet, your time or your money…read more To say we had a negative experience would at this point be an understatement. The behavior this practice has exhibited has been avoidant, evasive and disappointing. I called distressed after my dog was having complications healing from surgery after a lipoma removal. We arrived on a busy Sunday and were taken at the end of a triage. During our time there I voiced to MULTIPLE techs that my dog was bleeding through his gauze. 2/3 responses were a deadpan stare and the words "ok". It took 3 times of me asking/ pleading for someone to listen to me. Even then I was armed with loose gauze and a wee wee pad. When we were finally seen I was so relieved i let this all fall away. I was so happy my pet was taken care of I went home following their orders and protocol. The next day I realized all the sutures at the site had fallen out and we were back at square one after spending hundreds of dollars. Naturally I was upset and placed a call to the location. I was placed on an infinite hold 3 times with no answer until i called from my friend's phone to which they picked up immediately. I have been calling every day since Monday with not a single person giving me a call back or without any financial compensation for the negligent job they did. I have given them since Monday to give me a call back and fix this. I've called every day without a call back. So if you don't care about your pets or spending unnecessary money this is the place for you!

It was so different when I came here. Unfortunately, it was not the outcome I wanted - but the doctor (whose name begins with an M I believe, I'm sorry - I'm so bad with names!) informed me we can do all these procedures, but in the end my pigeon Lola was too far gone. It was the most humane thing to let her go. I really felt like I got all my questions answered, the doctors/vets/workers were so empathetic and kind to answer all my questions. If your animal is in an emergency, and you want the honest truth, and honest help from people who care about animals - come here. Even though I ultimately experienced a devastating loss, these people really helped me when I needed it most. They also offer pet funerary services which was nice as well. Thank you so much.

That level of trust says everything about the kindness and calmness Dr. Carmichael brings to his patients. His insight also helped us realize that Kuba's poor appetite might not be related solely to his dental issues. I'm grateful that Dr. Carmichael looked beyond the obvious and encouraged us to consider other possible causes. Unfortunately, my dog was diagnosed with a heart murmur which I was unaware of, so they did not feel comfortable giving her the sedation she needed to take proper X-rays of a possible hip or lower back injury, which was a bit concerning. We did have a long wait, but to be fair, it was a rough night there and there were pets there with more significant injuries, so I appreciated their prioritizing them. They were able to administer pain meds though, which helped my dog feel much more comfortable overnight until I get her in to see her regular vet the following day. The bill was a bit high for just a preliminary evaluation, a basic cbc, and one shot of pain killer but it was worth having some peace of mind that my dog was seen and in far less discomfort overnight. I would definitely go back if I needed to, as the care she received was prudent and they were honest with me about their concerns about the risk of sedation for my particular dog.
