I discovered Pet Finatics about a year ago; I rescued a reptile, and having never had one, had never had a reason to look around for a reptile expert. These are definitely my guys! They have a fully-stocked store for all pet needs, but if I had to pick what I personally thought to be their strong suit, definitely their reptile products, pets and knowledge. This store is always very well staffed, which is something you don't often find in a small local business. I always have two or three people ask me if I need anything. Their pets are all healthy and well cared for. They also have the best deals on crickets locally that I have found. The store is well organized for such a full store (I think they need to be twice the size they really are, but they make do!) They also have the best price on my favorite fish, which I have trouble finding locally. The only thing I wish they stocked that they don't is Dubia Roaches, but I didn't let that effect my rating because I'm starting to suspect there is a law around here about selling them in retail locations, because I have never even heard of someone ever having had them. Ah well, breeding my own now. Anything else I've mentioned that they didn't have, anyone is quick to suggest "We might be able to order it for you!" Just can't wait until it's warmer and I can bring my beardies in to shop, because based on the great attitude and friendliness of the staff, I'm sure he'll be doted on and loved on by them all! read more

We bought a tortoise here and the guarantee was for 7 day's. It died at 10 days. It was never healthy from day one. Didn't eat. Never opened his eyes. This is not our first tortoise so our care of it was very good. After it died the store did what they could for us which amounted to less than half the credit. The kicker, no tortoises in two species we wanted were left. And no more for 12 months. So the less than satisfactory credit won't be able to be used because it had to be put towards a new tortoise. I give the store credit for trying but it frankly wasn't enough and we are out $150. Drove to Taylor MI and got a very healthy tortoise for a fraction of the price. read more

Most of the time the service is great, I'm not sure if the girl was the manager or the owner but she was awfully rude! I had an "exchange" and I was told an exchange wouldn't be a problem, two days prior, if it didn't fit. So I brought it back with receipt and the tag, the tag wasn't on because it was in the way to try it on my dog. She was turned away from me and spoke to the cashier as if I wasn't there, being very nasty and rude not having a clue as to what was really happening. Very disappointed! read more

This breaks my heart to give such a low review since this is where I shop for my animals. But I spoke with a worker about a certain cage I'm looking for. He mentioned that the cage was a "stocked item" that it wouldn't be and issue ordering it and calling me when it would be in. I was told it would be in Thursday (5/9) I call the store after work to see about picking it up excited to set it up after buying a lot of "decor". Well the manager gets on the phone and proceeds to tell me, before asking who I spoke with originally, that the employee was wrong, that the cage is in "Tuesday's shipment" I then ask if it by any chance got added to last weeks order since it was a "stocked item". Before I could finish the manager cuts me off and says "the person you talked to is wrong and doesn't know what they're talking about, we only get shipments on Tuesday's and I won't be placing my order until tomorrow so it won't be here till next Tuesday " so due to her attitude and her belittling her employee, even though she never asked who it was, I came home and placed an order for the same cage, for a cheaper price, that will be at my house on Saturday. It's going to make it hard to come back knowing the manager not only talks about her employees like that, but talks to customers like that. read more

Absolutely NO, the manager is so damn rude to everyone even her employees, will never shop here again, prices are ridiculous and overpriced crap that I can go to Walmart or Amazon for less than half of what they sell it for here, animals are not taken care of at all, will def be making a complaint with animal control ASAP. Also they take COVID as a joke! They don't require customers to wear masks cause they "can't afford to loose any business" they don't Sanitize in between customers, place is a joke on top of a joke. read more

They always seem to have a few interesting less common animals, as well as their mascot Shakespeare "a giant tortoise ". The prices are decent and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. When I applied for a job "right of of high school, mind you had a full portfolio and three years of Animal Management exexperience " I never got a call back. Some of the cages are dirty and and are nothing more than paper towels in glass enclosures. If you remember Sweet Feed, it is cool to know one of the owners was co-owner of there. Final thought is pretty much how can a business do so good in one aspect and horrible in another. read more

The customer service was above and beyond. And they had EVERYTHING we needed. $120 worth of stuff for our dog that the other local pet store did not have. For example: compression jacket and car seat cover for back seat. Very impressed! read more

This place really went down hill. At first they always kept their animals fully stocked and CLEAN and now not so much. You will be standing around at least 10 minutes for a staff member to assist you with feeders, fish, etc. They seem to have restaffed to younger teens which do not really know what they they are doing. The owner is a very unfriendly woman. It is too bad because the store was actually really nice but it is the poor service from staff which had made me bring my business elsewhere. I recommend Everything Pets the other shop nearby any day of the week. read more
