I go here because they have reasonable prices for grooming. However, I can no longer ignore a sanitation issue: every time without a doubt, she's come home with live fleas. She is an indoor dog and isn't exposed to any other animals, meaning she is contracting them inside this facility. This is a major health hazard for my dog and a violation of a clean grooming environment. Bringing fleas into my home means now I have to deal with the stress, time, and expense of deep cleaning my house and treating my living space to prevent an infestation. I spoke to a Grooming Salon Manager and they said this has never been an issue before, but a quick scroll through yelp reviews prove different. I was told they take measures cleaning the kennels and tables after each animal. While I appreciate that I was offered a callback from the Store Leader and a free flea bath, a reactionary treatment doesn't fix the underlying issue. If they were truly sanitizing the kennels and tables between dogs, this wouldn't be happening every time. Advice for other pet parents: Check your dogs thoroughly before you leave the facility. I was told "issues can usually only be recognized if communicated within 48 hours" I hope management takes this seriously and does a deep, systematic review of their sanitation practices.

Ms. Elanor, the groomer welcomed us with great customer service. She really took care of Biggie from the moment we set foot in the store. Biggie is an anxious dog that can be scared of little things and she made sure Biggie is safe and secured. My girl went in the store and it was her first time seeing Biggie. Good thing Biggie was done and not stinky anymore because that dude can shed like there's no tomorrow. My dog felt comfortable and happy after the 2 hours of grooming. Overall, I'll definitely groom my dog here again while visiting my girl around the area :)

My dogs are very wiggly and anxious about getting their nails trimmed or having bath. Joanna, Jolie, and Jonny has made a huge difference in both my grooming related K9 anxiety and my actual k9s having anxiety while getting their grooming needs met. They are very skilled, patient, kind, and absolutely professional throughout the entire process. My recent bath experience for Rascal was exemplary. The dog came home looking like a nice young hound! He is less itchy, shedding less, his teeth looks nice and clean, and nails nice and trimmed. His appointment started right on time and ended sooner than expected which I super appreciated. My rescue dog had a traumatic experience getting nails trimmed recently at a different Petco grooming salon in Huntington Beach. She has since been very challenging to get even the basics completed such as nail trimming. Joanna cured the issue during the second visit. My dog wasn't a wiggly shuddering poor mess. You have no idea how relieved I was after the nasty incident that happened before. My dog got called names, hit, and slapped by the groomer there in Huntington Beach Petco. It was the most blood curdling shrieking I have ever heard my dog make and it gives me the shudders every time I remember it. Anyhow, the rest of the store experience I have had has been also very positive at this location. The merchandising is neatly done and the cashiers are absolutely wonderful there. They always have my store pickup orders ready almost right away. Sometimes in less than 30 minutes. I have never had to wait in line during checkouts and my dogs love saying hello to every one of them. The aquatic section has a nice selection of all things fish related. I'm not a hardcore fish keeper at home so their stuff suffices for my needs. It is more organized and well kept than the Adams Avenue store so I have never had trouble finding what I need like aquatic salt, for example. Given my experience of going to at least 4 other Petco stores in the vicinity and having enough comparison samples and experience, I think this really is one of the best Petco in the area. Lastly, parking area is huge and ample. Stacking coupons is possible and cashier will be more than happy to assist with account issues.

Manuel Rivera of Harnesses by Ines had just the right harnesses for our little one. Manuel hand makes 'no choke' collars and stated 'they provide a great deal of control for your dog.' Our little love one is a bundle of joy but she is tough, I rescued her from the street and when she wants something (i.e. a squirrel or a seagull) she is off like the wind so we were truly in need of a 'no choke' collar that provided the 100% control at all times. After speaking with Manuel for a short period of time and vibing his vibe I was sold. Manuel explained in great detail how each harnesses is hand crafted, washable (hang dry), durable, tough with thick stitching, thick plastic buckles and no rub areas for your little loved ones underside. Manuel had all sizes from small to medium to large; Manuel even provided harnesses and wearable transport vehicles for cats and small dogs. We took the harness home and placed it on our little loved one, she dug it. She took off running around the house like she was just given a new pair of tennis shoes. We took her outside and had a couple run in's with squirrels & seagulls and I have to say this harness is top notch. The harness provided a great deal of restraint while not choking out our little loved one. When we got back home the harness was easy to take off. I could not ask for anything more. I am really stoked with this purchase. How much do you ask? With tax $19.62, Manuel had a square account attached to his Iphone and emailed the receipt during our transaction so wherever you may find Manuel and his stand you will be able to pay with cash or card with no worries. The employee at the front greeted me as though he was forced to, which didn't make for a friendly first impression. I looked around the store and found the selection to be fairly basic, while many of the prices were significantly higher than other local fish stores. For example, a skunk cleaner shrimp that typically sells for around $29 was priced at $39 here. I was also surprised to learn that they don't offer any 24hour livestock guarantee. I ended up purchasing some crabs and snails. I should have selected them myself, but the employee picked them for me. When I got home, I discovered that a couple of the hermit crab shells were empty, meaning I had paid for crabs that weren't actually there. Based on my experience, I can't recommend this store. I left feeling disappointed and that I didn't receive good value for what I paid.
