    Rat from Pet Kingdom

Absolutely the worst for snakes, rats and customer service. LLL reptile is where we've always gone to actually buy our pets...highly suggest checking them out. The convenience of this location is not worth the risk to your pet nor investment.

Very large selection of aquatic animals and reptiles. Came here last week to get my son a crested gecko and walked out with a pet snake as well! They have a very good selection of reptiles. The staff were very attentive and polite. I thought Petco would be the only store to have reptiles but I was wrong this place rocks!

Didn't have a price ? I was tempted to get it but I didn't see anyone staff members though. Pink Glow Angel fish .

Good variety of fish and prices are almost the same as your regular pet store ( Petco or PetSmart). Not enough staff members though I was tempted to get a fish but I didn't see anyone so it was good and it was bad in some point . But definitely will come back and get some fish in the future .

Pretty sure this bearded dragon was dead in the first picture, it wasn't breathing , also that's not the proper food or lighting for a healthy dragon and there was worms and crickets just roaming around the cage. I come here to buy dubia roaches for my dragon and the staff is always friendly but it hurts me seeing these animals in such bad conditions..

I bring the kids here often to check out all of their fish and reptiles. They have a large selection of different fish and water creatures along with many snakes, turtles, lizards, and iguanas. My kids absolutely love this place.

    They have many tarantulas

The pricing here is very competitive, featuring excellent bulk discounts that are especially economical if you are stocking schooling fish. As a best practice, always quarantine any new additions before introducing them to your established community tanks. Transporting livestock introduces significant stress to their immune systems, and retail holding tanks are inherently high-density environments, so a quarantine protocol is a must rather than a reflection on the shop. Additionally, this is a fantastic source for high-quality dry and frozen fish food. Highly recommended.

It's clear they genuinely care about the hobby and about helping customers succeed with their aquariums. Whether you're new to aquariums or have been in the hobby for years, this place is definitely worth visiting. I've checked out at least 20 different aquatic stores and this ranks as #1. Definitely be coming back the next time I'm in San Diego!

We plan to buy more Ranchu !…read more We bought a calico Ranchu, and to our surprise, he arrived healthy and full of energy after spending nearly 48 hours in UPS transit during the 95-100°F Texas heat. We were a little worried about the long journey and extreme temperatures, but he adapted immediately and has been active, beautiful, and incredibly cute from the moment he arrived. To be honest, we were also hesitant at first because of some of the negative Google and Yelp reviews. As first-time Ranchu owners, we spent a lot of time researching breeders, but there aren't many reputable Ranchu breeders in the U.S. for this exotic goldfish. In the end, we decided to take a chance and see how this little guy would turn out despite the mixed reviews. We couldn't be happier with our decision. The fish exceeded our expectations in every way. This experience really proved the quality of this breeder. Their Ranchu are healthy, well-bred, and able to handle even a challenging shipment in the Texas summer. We are extremely satisfied and definitely plan to buy more Ranchu from them in the future. Thank you for bringing such a wonderful little fish into our home!

When I found one that I liked I asked the guy helping me out the price; he gave me a number. When I looked it up online using their code it was off: he gave me a number $15 more than their website. Had I not checked I would've overpaid. Not to mention (I found this out after I'd left) they had a 10% discount until 7/7-my purchase was made before that date; however they made no mention of this. The conditions in which the fish are kept is less than ideal. There's numerous dead fish; some of the betta's are in small jugs with another dead betta. They weren't the only fish with dead companions but it was harder to photograph the ones in bigger tanks without being seen. Definitely wouldn't recommend going there if you're looking for something that was raised in good conditions.

Avoid this place. I…read morespent thousands of dollars with SD Aqua and regret ever doing business with them. It started when I purchased premium-priced live rock from SD Aqua. Within days of adding it to my tank, the entire system began crashing. The rock appeared to be in terrible condition, my sand bed turned black, and the tank was effectively ruined. As someone relatively new to the hobby, I relied on SD Aqua's expertise and guidance. Instead, I was left dealing with a disaster. To address the problem, SD Aqua referred me to a person named Andrew to help fix the tank. Unfortunately, the situation only got worse. The work performed created additional plumbing problems that later had to be corrected. We relied on the recommendations of people who presented themselves as experts, and that trust turned out to be a costly mistake. While the tank was being repaired, we entrusted our fish to SD Aqua for temporary holding. Several fish died while in their care. The remaining fish were returned in poor condition and soon showed signs of disease. Over the following weeks, we watched fish die one after another despite significant effort and expense trying to save them. Anyone who keeps saltwater fish understands how devastating it is to watch animals slowly decline and die after investing so much time, money, and care into them. What makes the entire experience even more frustrating is the complete lack of accountability. We were left with a destroyed tank, dead fish, damaged plumbing, and thousands of dollars in losses. One additional concern was the business practices we encountered afterward. When I later tried to obtain copies of receipts for purchases and services, SD Aqua was unable to provide complete records. Many of our transactions had been made through Zelle because we were repeatedly told the credit card system was unavailable. As a customer who spent a substantial amount of money with the business, I found it troubling that obtaining basic documentation of purchases was so difficult. At a minimum, it reflected a level of disorganization and poor recordkeeping that was consistent with the rest of our experience. The owner, Diego, was ultimately responsible for our account, and Andrew was the individual recommended to work on our system. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution anyone--especially those new to the hobby--against relying on this store for fish, water, rock, advice, tank services, or system design. There are too many reputable aquarium stores in Southern California to risk going through what we did. My experience with SD Aqua was expensive, frustrating, and ultimately devastating to the aquarium we worked so hard to build.

We road-tripped to San Diego to pick up our auction winnings and ended up hanging around so long I'm pretty sure John started wondering whether we were planning to move in. The entire crew was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and patient, even while I repeatedly attempted to negotiate my way into owning several shrooms that were very clearly outside my budget. To their credit, they politely declined my brilliant proposals involving discounts, sympathy, and what I considered highly persuasive arguments. The coral selection is absolutely insane. Every time you think you've found your favorite piece, another one appears that you suddenly "can't live without." The auctions are an absolute blast and have become one of the highlights of the hobby. Great people, great deals, friendly competition, and enough excitement to keep everyone glued to the chat. Honestly, they're more fun than a frat party, and judging by the number of times "explain that one to your wife" comes up in the auction chat, I'm clearly not the only one making questionable financial decisions in pursuit of beautiful corals. Most importantly, the corals are stunning, healthy, and exactly as advertised. It's obvious these guys genuinely care about quality and about the reefing community they've built around their auctions. If you're looking for amazing corals and an equally amazing group of people, Kungfu Corals is absolutely worth checking out. Just don't blame me when you find yourself trying to justify another mushroom coral purchase to your family after swearing the last one was your final coral of the year.
