Came here after moving more into the city and realizing that our regular groomer was much further with limited availability. I was sad to leave them but knew my pup needed an excellent groomer in our area. I looked up a few places online, looked up Yelp reviews, and even sent a quote request. My research led me to Bubbly Paws. When we arrived on our first visit, I was impressed by the facility's cleanliness and the owner's warmth. They give you progress updates throughout the groom and reach out to you 30 minutes before the groom's end so you can make your way for pick-up. This was huge for me as my dog is a free roamer, and I like to minimize the time he spends crated as he gets anxious. The nice thing is that at the end of the appointment, you get to converse with the groomer directly, and they talk to you about how things went and give any tips. Corie is a WONDERFUL groomer with keen attention to detail. I remember our first groom; she was critical of her work on his ears. They looked perfect, and I was so impressed with the groom and how adorable he looked I couldn't tell what she was worried about. But I appreciated her being critical of her work and wanting to improve. I can tell that my dog loves spending time with her and always seems at ease on pick-up. The one warning I will give has more to do with corporate Bubbly Paws instead of the local store. They have a strict late policy in place. If you are more than 10 minutes late and haven't called, you will be charged the FULL amount of the groom and have to pay for another session. If something comes up, let them know ASAP to avoid this. If you have a large dog that you cannot bathe in the sink or your tub, they have self-service grooming stations that are always clean and equipped with products to help you keep your pup clean. read more

I am making this post to spread the word about an issue I've had . It was brought to my attention that the current "owner" and co owner of Bubbly Paws now known as "BarKi" located at 141 New Bern st Suite B , Charlotte NC stole my grooming photos off of my personal grooming page on IG & posted them on their new website to promote their new name and business . Quinn Rodgers (fb & IG) and Kiki Barrino (kikithegroomer on fb & IG) are fraudulent liars & thieves . I was fired from Bubbly Paws back in January 2026 & started working elsewhere in February so imagine my surprise to find out that not only were they using my work to promote their shop but they STOLE my pictures from my business IG & posted them on their website . Not pictures that I sent during my time working there , but pictures from my own business page . Every single picture on that site was mine with the exception of 1 & that picture belonged to another groomer that no longer works there . She even had the nerve to post my personal dog on there as if she groomed him herself ! After some much needed bullying on IG , my pictures were removed from the site a few hours after I called them out but it doesn't change anything . This is a testament to their true character ! These are not the type of people you want to trust your dogs with . People that steal the work of groomers they worked with or employed ? Because their own work isn't up to par ? I was then shocked this morning to find out that "PASTOR" Quinn posted these same pictures on his personal page to promote their new shop name back in May so there's no telling how long they've been using my work to bring people into the shop . As of July 14th at 11:06 am Quinn Rodger's still has my stolen photos on his personal fb page to promote his & Kiki's new business name and website . More then likely because they don't have any good groomers working there. How dare they try to better their business off the hard work that someone else put in. We just recently became members of the "Scrub Club". I love this place! Exactly what I was looking for. My Doberman and I use it for the walk-in DIY service. It's awesome for after swimming, hiking, or just a general groom. Parking is $5 for 30 minutes. Staff is attentive & friendly. They sell cookies as well. Thank you! read more

i appreciate this place taking care of my baby. But when i tell you i did not recognize my dog when i picked her up...this was a truly traumatizing experience for a first time professional dog haircut. i feel like i got a completely different result than what i asked for. i have a long haired dog who i take pride in taking care of her hair, so i know that is not why i received a different result than what i wanted. i fully brush & comb her multiple times a week & she gets weekly bath with a blow dry. My puppy with about 3 inch long hair got cut down to shorter than an inch with clippers when i asked for it to be barley trimmed... and she looks like an old man with a mustache since her snout was shaved completely down. i am sad as i thought i had done enough research to find someone who i could trust to do what i wanted. - a dog mom who wishes she missed her baby's haircut appointment. read more

We arrived only to be told that the bath tubs close one hour before the listed closing time. This was never mentioned on the website, nor when I called ahead specifically to ask about their hours. We drove out with a muddy dog only to find out we couldn't use the service we came for. Very disappointing -- you would expect a business to communicate something like that upfront. read more

Bubbly Paws is a BEAUTIFUL facility centrally located in the South End neighborhood. It's easy to access to drop your dog, there is also parking available in the parking deck or street parking. When you first walk in to the salon you are welcome by great people. In this salon, it's unique because you have the option to either bathe your dog or have the groomers do it for you. Both options are very reasonably price. Love this new and innovative option you have a wash your pup, the tub created for dogs of ALL sizes, you are provided with a water apron, shampoo, conditioner, cologne, brushes, towels to be able to wash your dog and bond with them. After your pet is clean, you move them to their drying room. It's beautiful, clean and big. Your dog will be quickly dry and you can be in and out. If you are the pet parent that prefers to have your dog groomed, the groomers are very talented and skilled to groom your baby. Have been bringing our German shepherd and pitbull here for grooming for over a year and after today's experience, we won't be returning. I suspect this location is under new management and it is evident their previous experienced, kind, and attentive staff are no longer there. Our GSD is reactive toward other dogs and in the past have always been accommodated (helping to clear out the lobby so we can take him back to his grooming room). Today's experience was bizarre - the front desk staff could barely acknowledge me and seemed confused when I notified him that we were going to be bringing in our dog reactive guy. This is also specified in his notes on his profile. My boyfriend brought him in and waited in the lobby entirely unacknowledged by any staff while dogs came and went. After waiting for 15 mins with no communication from any staff member, we decided we did not feel comfortable leaving him here to be groomed and cared for and left. The screenshot included is their poor attempt at customer service. I want to note that we were never asked to leave or even introduced to the groomer at any point. I get that we have a special situation, but really don't feel that they did their due diligence here. If you're in the business of dealing with dogs, you have to have a level of expertise in knowing what that all entails and it's evident that they don't have that. read more

Leila made my dog feel extremely comfortable throughout the entire process, which was important to me because my doodle gets anxious in new places. Leila really listened to the kind of haircut I wanted for my doodle, and took her time to achieve the look! My dog is almost 3 years old and this is the best haircut she's ever had! Throughout the appointment, I was able to track my dog's progress online through their website and get notified in advance when she would be ready for pick up! I have been coming here for the past few months for their fabulous self-serve baths. They have the best ones in town - the water temperature is easily controlled, the spray heads have the perfect flow, and they have everything you need for a perfect bathing experience for your pup: high-quality shampoo/conditioner/spray, cotton balls for ears, brushes of every variety, a separate blow-drying room, etc. (You'll have to trust me on this. I have tried literally every self-serve dog bath in Charlotte. :-) This place is so far above the rest that I have been meaning to write a review for quite some time now. But what made me sit down and write my review TODAY is that I wanted people to know that it's more than just the services that make this place special. Almost every time I come in, I run into Adayla, one of the amazing groomers. She is memorable because she is beyond friendly and has amazing energy. She's kind to the dogs. She's kind to the people. She's like a good vibe dispenser - spreading them to everyone around her through her smile. As I was bathing my buddy today, I started to hear this beautiful voice, singing harmony with the standard 90s music that happened to be playing in the shop today. I had to look around a bit to figure it out, but it was coming from a couple of baths away. Wow, I thought, Adayla sure has mastered the art of harmony. Then another song came on, and Adayla said, "Oh, it's my song!" I thought she meant it was "her song" in the way most of us regular people mean that - you know, we really love the song that just started playing. No - she meant it was HER song. It turns out she's a singer/songwriter who performs in weddings all over the world! She wasn't going to sing along, but I nudged her into it, and it was like hearing angels in stereo. Oh my gosh. BEAUTIFUL. I get teary just thinking about it. I have been bringing my golden doodle to bubbly Paws to a specific groomer for a while now. They contacted me and asked me to change my time slot and never mentioned that my groomer left. (When I personally spoke to her later she also mentioned to me they were suppose to have let me know she wasn't there.) My husband dropped off my doodle and left him. When finding out that it wasn't our normal groomer I called immediately to make sure his areas that he was a bit matted in wouldn't be shaved to the skin. They would not answer the phone instead are texting me back and forth arguing about how to groom my dog. They were very rude, and also told me I never booked my appointment with my original groomer, which is not true at all, I also have the email to prove it. I was not happy at all, when I saw my dog he was incredibly short and some areas were shaved down to the skin. My normal groomer never did this. I am incredibly upset and overall what horrible customer service. Not only that $145 dollars later? For a horrible experience? Very upsetting. Added information-they then texted the groomer that left and tried to say we told them to shave our dog. Ridiculous. Horrible business practices. read more

So happy with the complete groom! Our former groomer had to go out of business unexpectedly, and our dog was really overdue for a cut. We tried Bubbly Paws. They were very responsive over email, text and yelp messaging! It was very seamless to set up and account and book an appointment through their website/app. Our groomer was Leila. I gave her specific instructions and pic example. Leila did a fantastic job! Our dog was clean and adorably cut! The full groom (bath, dry, cut, trim nails) took about 2-2.5 hours. We had an incredible experience bringing our large breed dog to bubbly paws this week! After living in Charlotte for two years, we've tried just about every self dog wash place in town and this is our new favorite. It starts with the customer service. When we walked in, we were greeted by the owner who explained the amenities and the products we had access to. Shampoo, conditioner, brushes, ear cleaner, toothbrushes, etc. were all complimentary. As our dog is a bit nervous in these scenarios, we were really appreciative of the support we received. From there, we used the bath. Everything was super clean and new. It was great to be able to walk around all three sides of the bath tub, as I am sure many dog owners can relate to bath time being a two man job. One of the things I appreciated most was a separate drying station. Again, as our dog can be reactive and hates the bath, it was so convenient to take him to a separate room to blow his coat dry. He could walk around and look out the window, which was a nice distraction and really created a fear free scenario. Clean and accessible for large and older dogs. Very friendly staff that listened to my concerns about my older dog who needed special care. They actually were very in tuned and pointed out her ear seemed sensitive when they were trying to clean them. We followed up with a vet visit and it ended up being a small infection. I used to love how fast this place was but recently things have changed for the worst. The last few times my dog has been there for hours on end. Sometimes they give me a heads up they are running late but there have been times where communication is really lacking and I'm left to wonder what's going on for hours. My dog also came back with a pretty bad cut on her leg which I can't help but assume is the result of the groomer rushing to get caught up. The prices used to be a lot more reasonable too, I think my groomer upsold me for conditioner and other services without me realizing there was an additional charge. Overall just disappointed with how her recent services went considering how happy I was with Bubbly Paws in the beginning. read more

I love that they have their own products like oatmeal shampoo and conditioner that they will get fresh for you. Do not recommend for grooming! Had a horrible first puppy cut at this location. Was very explicit about how I wanted to keep my dog as long as possible and was told he would receive a micro-cut (face, feet and sanitary cut). I came back to my dog's head shaved and a horrendous blending job on his head and neck. The customer experience was very disappointing and there was no honesty or transparency about why my puppy received a poor cut. Furthermore, the unprofessional nature of the owner was unacceptable. I was told "well at least he's clean" when I brought the poor haircut to the owner's attention and when I called back to discuss, they said "I'm not sure why you're calling". After bringing the poor haircut to the owner's attention, she blamed my dog's behavior on why the haircut was bad. (This was never told to me when I first picked him up.) However, after the owner's husband chose to get involved, he told me that my dog's behavior was normal and he was no more anxious than any other puppy. Transparency, honesty and professionalism go a long way and I received none of this. *per the owner's response: please note that a refund was asked prior to mentioning anything about a negative review. In no way was I threatening nor mentioned I was threatening the business. I am appalled that a comment was made insinuating I threatened the business. read more
