Luckily, this time was just a stomach bug. They got us in when we needed to come, and after a bit of a wait, our dog was seen. The place was clean and nice and everyone we met was kind and professional. We ended up with some medicine and she was better right away. We got some great feeding advice from the doctor as well. It's definitely pricey, but they do have 24 hour emergency services and they do get you in when you need it. All in all, Ibwould definitely recommend this place for emergency pet care.

However, when I presented this to the store associate, I was told that only a physical receipt would be accepted. I explained that going home to get the receipt would take me over an hour, but she insisted there was nothing that could be done. This response directly contradicts Petco's official policy and caused me unnecessary inconvenience. Such misinformation is both unprofessional and unacceptable. As a loyal customer, I expected better -- and frankly, this experience makes PetSmart look far more customer-friendly and consistent in their service.

Other reviewers have mentioned that in the past, like most pet stores, the animals came from "breeders". HOWEVER, on a visit today I was thrilled to see that their puppy and kitten sales policy has made a dramatic, and really admirable, turn for the better! Not only have the small cages disappeared, but the pups and cats for sale are ALL rescue dogs from the Humane Society and other rescue groups! The cages have been replaced by nice sized rooms that hold 2-3 puppies which can be seen cuddling and playing together. It's such a pleasant and uplifting change. I will gladly drive somewhere else for a cleaner environment.
