The staff is the strength of Pet Supermarket! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. They never rush and are willing to address your concerns. The store that I usually visit is clean and without obnoxious odors. This means the staff doesn't just sit when there are no customers to assist.. My best friend (An 11 year old Lhasa Apso named Bentley) has allergies and requires a special diet. We've been using Nutro Venison recipe with excellent results. I REFUSE to return to this store ever again. I've walked in without an acknowledgement. I've spent over $150 at any given time and never an offer to carry my bags to the car. I've witnessed boxes of crates in the aisles, that I tripped on. Shelves are never fully stocked. I've watched young kids congregate and chat than tending to customers. I've walked in and no one is at the entrance and I had to seek out a cashier. Being a pet sitter, dog mom of 4 and foster of 3, I've spent ALOT of money yearly at this location. Today, I was pretty much told to hurry up because they were closing as I got to my car, one of the girls was greeted by her boyfriend whom she followed to smooch on in the parking lot. I miss the old staff. Angie, Adrienne, Amber. I mattered. Sad to see what this store has become. read more

Not only is this chain more affordable, I've found any location I've been to to be staffed with helpful and friendly staff. It's the Publix of pet stores! This past week my small dog had surgery to remove 2 cysts and I went there immediately to purchase a pillow cone. I brought it up to the register and paid for it, and asked how to put it on. The store manager Tammy, and another staffperson, Sonia, took time to put it on, and we realized it was the wrong size. They then got the next size up, and again took the time to put that one on, even blowing up the balloon themselves. They probably spent almost 30 minutes helping me for what was a very small purchase. The next day I returned because my dog was able to still get at his stiches, and Tammy was there again. I ended up getting another type of cone, returning the one I bought the day before, and Tammy again did the work of threading his collar thru the cone . I can't imagine Petsmart or another big box store giving me that much personal help. This type of personal attention by a business's staff makes me a very loyal customer who will relate this story to others. It may not have seemed like a big thing to Tammy, but it made me a committed customer and her superiors should be grateful she is representing them in such a positive manner. read more

Seems to be under new management. I'm disappointed to see that the tanks aren't as clean as they used to be and the food stock isn't as plentiful as before. With an older diabetic and chronic pancreatitis dog I've had to shop at three different stores for the flavors my dog likes. What I used to buy at this store is never on the shelf and they no longer carry extra stock on top of the shelves. I'll have to find another store for the particular brand I purchased here. read more

Always have everything in stock I'm looking for. My go to place for feeder mice they have the biggest sizes which is great for my lizards and their prices are reasonable. All the ladies working great you as soon as walking in and are happy to help. Very knowledgable manager too! read more

This place is located in the same shopping center as Publix and some other businesses. Also, they are located right across from a Panda Express and a Panera Bread. They have an amazing selection of healthy and beautiful small animals (ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, etc...)! There is ample parking and is easily accessible. This place also has a very awesome variety and selection of different dried dog foods of various sizes. The cleanliness of this pet supply store is truly amazing. I also love and enjoy the fact that they do not sell any puppies or kittens here at all. I find this place to be better than Petland. Although, I do not purchase any of my dog's food here at all. I do drop by just to go and visit all the beautiful small animals that they have for sale. I think that I will be purchasing some of my dogs own treats and chews here. Because, I find them to be a little more cheaper than PetsMart as well as PetCo. They have a superb selection of great toys, treats, and chews here for your own loved pooch as well. They also have excellent and superior customer service as well as excellent quality products to boot as well. read more

It's a little out of the way for me, but I like this pet Supermarket, mostly for the staff. They're always trying to find a coupon or sale price for you, and for my last visit, the cashier literally went digging in the trash to find the $5 coupon off of the dog food I was purchasing. Tough to beat that. Store is pretty clean, tons of parking since it's in a strip mall and they don't get as much foot traffic as petsmart (that's not a bad thing!). I have no complaints, and love their customer service, which is king to me. read more

Thank God I found you! This store is clean, easy to navigate and big!! I did not see any dogs or cats in teeny tiny cages- which I was very thankful for. They carried my brand of dog food (Nutro) in my size (35lb) and flavor (lamb and rice) and the prices were clearly marked and correct- and actually not too expensive! Petland was charging about $50 for a bag while PS was only charging $45. I'll take it!! I dragged the big ole bag up to the cash register and after I paid, the cashier asked if I would like him to carry the bag out to car for me! Hallelujah! YES! I used to love coming to this store when we had a dog, but that changed when we came in to get a new bunny for our family. Although the associate helping us seemed to be knowledgeable, we were sold items that were FAR too big for our bunny. We spent the entire day trying to get a habitat set up for the bunny and had to go to 3 different stores to do so. When we returned the items that would not work, we were met with attitude and were made to feel as though this was more of a burden on the employees rather than being an inconvenience to us. We were told that we had "caught them at a bad time to do this return" along with numerous other sarcastic and rude comments. When we informed them that the water bottle we were returning didn't work and our bunny hadn't been getting much water, there was no concern or sympathy. The manager didn't believe that the bottle didn't work and was bound and determined to prove us wrong. Had it not been for someone coming up to check out, we feel like he would have done everything he could to make us feel inept. In my opinion, there is a focus on up-selling products to new pet parents in an effort to boost revenue in this store. There also seems to be a lack of customer service from several employees, including the manager himself. Sarcasm is fine on your own time, but if you're trying to run a business, professionalism is key. read more
