I've been to a lot of pet supermarkets lately like Petco, Incredible Pets, and Petsmart. This business exceeded my expectation. I have been looking for a local pet store to supply food for my hamster. I went in today with my expectations low. A very handsome young man named Owen helped me. He recommended multiple things to me. Usually I am pretty cautious about taking advice from pet companies. But everything he said was truly helpful and informative. They always have a wonderful selection. You can get almost anything here you might need for your pets. It's a really nice shop!! I would say the people checking shoppers need to be more socially aware and more friendly, but it is lacking only that. I will go back and I hope the staff can mature. I went in to look at the guinea pigs the whole display was embarrassingly small and not properly equipt. They had 2 guinea pigs that were labeled as "wooly guinea pigs" That is not a proper breed of guinea pig, they are either Teddy or Rex guinea pigs, not Wooly. As for the skinny pigs they had i was severely disappointed. Skinny pigs need to be kept warm and these 2 little babies only had a cold plastic igloo and the smallest amount of hay possible. The other HUGE issue we had was that at least with the skinnies it is almost certain one is pregnant only being 2-4 months old she is at risk of losing her life because the store couldn't separate them. The store manager seemed to know this was going to happen but if we hadn't said something i worry some poor family expected 1-2 guinea pigs a couple of months later that little girl is going to give birth to 1-4 babies and what do you think will happen to them!!! The male that was in with her could be heard having a wheeze to his lungs meaning he most likely has a URI and that could have been fixed by giving them a soft warm blanket/hide. We didn't even look at the "wooly pigs" knowing they might have the same issues and likely boys and girls together. I don't know anything about chinchillas bunnies or ferrets but we fear the male-female pairing might have extended to the ferrets as well. Not only are you getting these from some breeder who can't even get the breeds labeled right, but you are essentially running your own breeding program in the store itself. And don't get me started on the price! $170 for a single guinea pig???? Yeah, it's a skinny pig that you are letting freeze in that store but now you're going to sell them at a grossly high price! Skinny pigs are not "exotic" they are actually a genetic defect. Do better or stop selling live animals because this is not how you treat any species! read more

Terrible service at Melbourne Florida Babcock Street location. the manager with the ponytail and glasses is very disrespectful. he huffs and puffs when you ask questions that require him to do any work. I left your establishment because of him. I injured my hand at work and needed a small amount of hot water for some Epsom salt before I brought my Yorkie in to bathe him and your manager said that he couldn't help me with about 3 inches or so of water to nurse my ailing injury. stupid, uncourteous, discourteous, uncouth etc, etc.. He exhibitedany traits and reactions that are not commensurate with being the manager of ANY ANY ANY establishment. In lamens terms and or the most honest terms: he is a dirtbag and I am at a loss for words how someone of such a low caliber is placed in a managerial position at your establishment, or any other for that matter!!!! I came here with my parents a while back. There were baby rabbits that they had quarantined since they had to just them. When I asked how old they were the worker told me 6 weeks old. As beautiful as they were, it's illegal here in Florida to sell rabbits of that age. They need to be at least 8 weeks/2 months old. It's not just the law but it's common sense. My rabbit that I own has had bunnies before so I did my research. Typically they're supposed to be sold at 8 weeks, not 6. To add to the fact, most pet store workers have no knowledge of what rabbits need and customers get the wrong information. Although i'm also concerned for the rabbits, it's the law. read more

I like this store. I usually come here to get treats made in the USA. I dont trust treats made in china or from chinese meat. They have alot of good and safe treat options here. I also get the Wellness 97% meat in the can which i use for a topper. My dogs absolutely love it. Check out can be slow here but the staff is friendly. read more

I believe in patronizing local businesses. That said, I am beyond disappointed in the customer service at this store. For over 2 weeks, they have been re-doing the displays and the shelves are sparsely stocked. The food that I need for my food sensitive dog has been out of stock. When I spoke to the manager she said it was on back order and offered to call another store and get it shipped over. She told me to come 2days later. I did, but the food wasn't there. Very frustrating that I wasted a trip and more importantly, my dog is about to use her last package of food. Sure wish people would do what they promise. The employees at this store are more interested in congregating than restocking the shelves. No more shopping here for me. There is a lot of competition in the pet food arena, they should keep this in mind. PS: Already ordered the food I need at a better price and free delivery too with 2 day shipping! read more

I took my tiny 11 week old Yorkie in today and Paul fit her with a tiny cat collar since she was so small, a harness, and teething toys. He was a godsend since I was afraid that anything I ordered online would be too large for her. He was wonderful with her and I will go back! Thank you paul! I've shopped here a few times. Store is very spacious which is a good thing since they allow people to bring their pets into the store. They have a wide variety of dog foods, toys & supplies. They also sell small birds, hamsters & guinea pigs. Store is always clean & well organized. Only complaint is there is only minimal staff there when I've been gone shopping; usually only a cashier, no one to answer questions. read more

Giving one star isn't even deserved with this place. I bought my bunny from this place after a two day waiting period due to him being so young. After a few days of him living with me I had noticed he was acting strange. The employee who sold him to me stated that Aloha Vet Hospital was their vet that they took their animals to. First off I'd like to state that I live right around the corner from Aloha and my bunny needed immediate attention, so I took him straight there. I called this place after to let them know to follow up on their offer of taking care of the animals medical attentions if anything was wrong. They were no help whatsoever and will NOT take care of the bills nor refund me on the cost of the bunny. This poor little creature was sick before I even bought him and they did NOT take care of him before or even after I made strong connections with my little bunny. I will NEVER shop at this place again nor EVER buy an animal there due to their lowsey excuses for not taking care of their animals like they claim to do. I will be notifying everyone I know about this place and making sure people know what kind of place they are going to. You were no help at all and I'm beyond shocked on the kind of people you all were to not care about an animals health. Plain cruel. read more
