I went to the counter to inquire about the items that I was hoping to find and was able to quickly get an answer as to whether or not these items were carried or were just out of stock. I did inquire about the price of aquatic plants and neocaridinas. Their prices were more expensive that the big box stores and the small aquatic shop that I usually patronize. I was referred to Connie by a friend at the Pet Supermarket on Michigan Ave, and I could not be happier. First, Connie texts and is very responsive. Secondly, there aren't 8 dog tables with 8 other dogs being groomed when I bring my dog in. It is a calm clean and inviting setting that makes the hand off relaxing and not over stimulating for the dog. She took just over 2 hours for a full groom- 5 hours less than Petsmart. And above all else my dog was absolutely beautiful and appeared to be very relaxed and comfortable during the groom. The price was 75.00 making it a super value for such a high quality groom. Connie is all around a master in her profession, is very friendly and knowledgeable and provides an exceptional experience for dog and owner and at an exceptional price. Wednesday afternoon, 4 families lost their homes due to roofers damaging a water pipe and flooding…read morethe building. The city came and condemned the entire building by Wednesday night and we all had to leave. One family has lost everything, the other 3 have lost their homes. While the roofing company and the HOA that hired them are trying to figure out who is responsible, 4 families are looking for a new place to live for the foreseeable future. No relief has come from the roofing company nor the HOA to assist with those efforts. However, I have to tell you all about the amazing people at Magic Pet in Baldwin Park who looked past how busy they already are during the Christmas season, and decided to help the people. As soon as our home was condemned, around 6:30PM Wednesday night, I walked to Magic Pet and told them what had happened and that we needed a place to take our 2 dogs and 2 cats. I told them I didn't know how long they would be there and we needed help. The owner looked at me and said, "Bring Them. Bring Them. We are busy, but we are a community and we are here to help our community. Bring them." I almost cried as one stress was immediately lifted with no questions - just compassion and a willingness to help. If you ever need boarding or grooming services for your pets, they have always treated our sweet pups well - and they are treating the humans well also. While the roofing company and HOA are trying to save as much money as possible and continue to hold someone else responsible for the immense damage, the wonderful owner of Magic Pet made room and DID something to help.
