One of our dogs is a full-blooded Bichon. The other two are primarily Bichon but have other breeds mixed in. Our newest puppy was specifically sold to us as a Maltipoo, and I chose her because I was looking for a smaller dog to be my companion in the car. Her DNA results came back as 69% Bichon, 19% Maltese, 8% Shih Tzu and 4% Havanese--with 0% Poodle. So, unfortunately, she isn't a Maltipoo. The DNA testing also showed that she is 25% genetically related to another dog we purchased from this same store in February, which raised additional questions for us about the breeding and lineage. On top of that, two of the four dogs we've purchased from the store have hernias. We absolutely adore our dogs and wouldn't trade them for anything. This isn't about the dogs themselves--they are amazing. It's about wanting customers to receive accurate information about the breeds, lineage, and health history of the puppies they're purchasing. We've had positive experiences with the store overall, which is why I'm giving 3 stars rather than a lower rating. But after four dogs and seeing these recurring issues, I do feel this is something the store should take seriously.

We went to Pet World and picked up a some accessories and some live crickets and meal worms. The accessories seemed a little on the steep side, but what do I know. The staff were not very responsive/friendly, but neither were they rude. They just seemed... uninterested? Oh well. We returned a couple more times for the live food; and were in and out in no time. Her tree frog passed away and we may try the experiment again this summer and if we do we'll return here for the frog chow.

Second, I worked in retail for along time so I understand how horrible it is, but the employees acted annoyed when you point out the price discrepancy, and that's after they've admitted they don't know if they have some stock in the back when the shelves are empty. Did I mention the cashier apologized to the customer behind me in an effort to shift the blame? The cherry on top is the store is filled with virtue-signaling signage on how their customers can make the world a better place if they just support whatever political stance PETSMART is trumpeting this week. Here's an idea, first step in making the world a better place is not engaging in price fraud. Second step would be for the executives to treat their employees and customers better. And the third step would be for PetSmart executives and shareholders to buy a mirror and stare into it each day for about an hour.

I literally went outside the store and decided it was too small for my dog. I would have understood with other things like dog beds and such, but the item could have been easily wiped down and it not be contaminated with Coronavirus. Yeah, the receipt did say that they were not taking returns, but how would I know that it wasn't returnable after the fact. There are no signs anywhere that indicate so. She made no attempt to understand my disbelief. Poor customer service. Apathetic. Take your business to local stores, and not stores that do not care for their customers.

When I went to purchase my cockatiel they ensured to educate me by handfeeding. I never hand fed before but they made it easy for me and allowed me to be rest assured that he will be just fine as long as I followed their instructions. I am in contact with them as long as my baby is alive. I will say that they are pricey for toys and the formula. One toy cost 8 to 12 dollars the last time I checked, also the feeding formula for the baby was 25.00 each time you buy. You shouldn't go through the formula so easy but it's just an FYI that they are expensive at least for me haha! I would definitely recommend you to do your own research before you even come to get a bird (hence, they go by this saying and I will always agree) if you aren't knowledgeable about something, they are always ready to help. They will get back to you as soon as possible, don't be hesitatant to ask for help. CALL THEM!! Come by and get your baby parrot they sell out fast!! Great selection of color and ages of parrots. They are amazing!
