My daughter and I went to check back in on our dog and saw something heart stopping through the window. She was falling off the table that the groomer had her on and he was not being very patient with her trying to grab her good back leg. He wasn't even paying attention that her bad back leg was raised in the air. My daughter was crying in the store and wanted to intervene. I will not be going back there again! This is the only place that I have ever taken her to be groomed and will be looking for a new groomer.

The store was well stocked with all kinds of remarkable pet supplies from floor to ceiling but the awesome, adorable puppies in particular caught our eye. One group of dogs were very active while the others were sound asleep. Unfortunately, the prices were astonishing and far exceeded our budget. As you can see from the picture, there was one puppy in particular that looked really disappointed as we left without him.

I did call the store one day when Allison was out and Pete answered the phone, he wanted to know how the dog was doing, said he has been with the store for decades and if we need anything to just call him. GREAT STAFF. We were talking to some breeders directly and the communication was horrible. Gary has some great employees. Even the woman who bathed and did our dog's claws after purchase clearly LOVED dogs. Very positive store experience. The Neutral: My dog, as others have mentioned was timid and easily startled when first home, but I think that's normal. He's only 10 weeks old, arrived from Missouri only a week before. That's a lot of changes for a little guy. So we have been making sure to keep the house a little quieter and trying to not make noise when he is eating. Basically like the instructions from Gary (Owner) say, no playing or excitement for 3 days. It's day 3 now and the dog (Reilly) is really much more active, running around the house, eating better, and seems to be adapting well to us and the house. The unexpected: Day 3, the little guy seems to have developed a cough. Could be from the stress of the move, he didn't seem to have this when we brought him home. I spoke to Allison about this and was told we would be reimbursed if we were unable to get back up to CT to see their Vet. (We are an hour away). Update: He seems a little better today, he has his check-in/check-up anyway so we just moved up the date at the vet to make sure he's on the right track. I am sure he will be fine. The less positive: When we originally called on the phone, we were told one general price from the Owner for the dogs were were interested in. At checkout the dog price increased more than 50%. We were able to negotiate, but we felt it could have been handled better. The only reason we feel we didn't overpay is because the service and aftercare have been wonderful. And when you get a 10-11 week old baby, believe me you will have questions. This is my third dog, but I quickly realized pups this young are infants, more vulnerable, do more dumb things, eating well and not getting sick is really important.

I couldn't remember the name of this place until I just found the receipt. Anyway, they brought her out to me and met me in the driveway. I asked to see where she had been kept and the man said he could allow me to go back there because I could track in outside diseases. I insisted that I would walk barefoot. He led me to the backyard where there were tons of dogs. All different types - in pens. I was young and asked the man if it was a puppy mill. He assured my young, super naive self that it was not a puppy mill and they were healthy dogs. I bought the Boston Terrier. She turned out not to be a Boston Terrier/Pug mix. I was disappointed at first and annoyed with the man for lying to me, but she was much healthier than my purebred Boston Terriers. She was very aloof and grumpy most of her life, but I loved her. I would never go back to this place. Instead I rescued a puppy from a high kill shelter through Paws New England I will never buy another puppy mill / home bred dog.
