I have been ordering my pet food on chewy.com lately because it gets delivered to my house and I have a new baby so it can be difficult to leave the house. I saw a $7 off $30 coupon on your Yelp page if you check in so I decided to brave the cold with an infant and go to buy cat food. The cashier didn't know how to enter the coupon then said that she doesn't honor yelp coupons. I ended up checking in on Yelp and not able to use the coupon you advertised. I think you should either honor coupons or take it off your Yelp page! It was a waste of my time today. I usually love this store. I have been going here for three years. This place is a little pricier than other pet stores, but I also feed my dogs a particular type of food that they sell here. It seems they have supplies for dogs, cats, fish, rodents, birds, and more. The people are usually incredibly nice, I have no complaints. They also have a newsletter you can sign up for that will give you coupons for the store as well as sale prices for food. I'm not one of those "pet food hippies" or "brand communists," I just know what is healthy for my dogs and they sell it at Pet Supplies Plus. They have specialty food as well as Purina Dog Chow, Puppy chow, Beneficial or whatever. If you shop wisely, then it shouldn't be that much more expensive. Buy food here, buy other things at cheaper places. Example: I buy baggies to pick up my dog's poop at Marshall's or TJ Maxx. They have really nice thick, quality dog poop bags on the cheap (120 @ 4.99!). read more

Chewy.com is cheaper, but they don't always come through. When I need something fast, I go to PSP. They're friendly to people and dogs, with a big selection, knowledgeable staff and plenty of parking. I also like that they let people post lost-pet and pet-services announcements, and that they're located at the same exit as several other places I regularly shop. I come here about once a month and nearly always find what I came for. read more

This is my place to go for my pet supply needs. I prefer to use local products such as Fromm pet food, and they happen to be the very few that carry them. And their aisles are always clean and I've yet to see any incorrectly placed items or incorrect price labeling on any of the items that I end up buying there. The employees are very polite and always circulating around and always available to help. Check outs are always quick, efficient, and with an abundance of politeness. Personally, I do think the prices run on par with other pet stores around unless it's being compared to online prices. But then again, my expenses are often tailored to a singular, nonchalant cat that prefers to lounge around and groom herself instead of chasing a laser dot. read more

Thank goodness for this store! It's so nice to have alternatives to the cat food offered at grocery stores. My guys do extremely well with "Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover's Soul" food (what a name, right?), and this is the only store I've been able to find it at. I have been buying my Cat's supplies for 10 years here. I have always been a suspicious of the personnel that works there. However I was pleasantly surprised during my last trip in that the staff had matured and become more polite, they still need to speak a bit louder for us more "mature" people!! Horrible customer service when trying to return a faulty product. 12 days ago i bought a retractable leash for about $30.00-$35.00 and of course I didn't save the receipt. I wasn't looking for a refund just an exchange (like every company does without a receipt or in store credit). The manager Jonathan said I was SOL and had to call the manufacturer. So I did even though seems ridiculous. According to the manufacturing company the retail store has a contract with a built in replacement, no question warranty. Regardless when or where I bought the leash, Pet Supplies Plus is legally responsible to replace the product and then reimbursed from said manufacturing company... of course Jonathan the manager of 12 years was clueless to the contract that supersedes any store policy. So my monthly $150 purchase is going elsewhere, sadly but not only is their policy outrageous but also illegal. read more

I've had too many bad experiences here to ever go back. They really don't care about their customers. I think they just buy the most common stuff at the lowest prices they can find. The place smells, and they have a bunch untrained & uninformed workers there. Unless you want a cheap can of Alpo, I'd go somewhere else for sure. p.s. - they are well known for putting Pacu in small tanks there. We have been to every pet supply store in the Milwaukee vicinity and this is the best one by far. They carry everything, kibble to raw food and the store is neat and clean and orderly, all the time. The employees are just super in every way, which is a good way to judge management. This must be a good place to work. We have been to many stores....this is the best. read more

I shop at a different location but the staff is just as knowledgable and very helpful. They preorder my cases of food, I have one allergic cat who can't have grain or chicken or any kind of fowl, so being able to order what she needs is great. Since we can't have food wars, all the cats eat the same food, so it's nice to be able to order enough to cover a month of feeding. Supermarket pet foods are usually loaded with grain and fillers, and dogs and cats are true carnivores and need MEAT, not vegetables. When have you seen a cat go pull up a carrot??? read more
