I would love to get this place closed down. It is the most sad environment for any type of animals. Let's start about the enclosures. They're reptile enclosures are never clean, they have bowls of calcium powder with dead insects inside, they're enclosures are way to small for the animal they are holding. And when you look at the animals you could just cry because of how sad they look. The fish are just all mixed together, there are even fish that aren't supposed to live together in the same tank. The sad ferret lives in its poop and pee 24/7 and is inactive. If you have a ferret you know how active they are. And finally their rat problem. As you shop their overpriced bs products, (as long as you can ignore the sound of the tortured dogs in the back) you will see and smell rat droppings everywhere. So, this place used to be really good, but I went today and I was looking at the ferret that they have (who's cage legit just had poop everywhere) and whenni used to go there, the ferrets were happy, but this time it was just hiding under the towel that they have in there. Secondly, when I asked about one of the ferrets that used to be there, the guy at the desk legit said "one, I don't name ferrets, two, we sell them" (I had asked if one of the ferrets got adopted) and I get that he was just being literal, but really? Just say that the ferret got bought/adopted. And thirdly, the part that pissed me off the most. They had left a bunch of dead fish in the fish tanks, just producing ammonia. Should have read Yelp reviews before coming here. I purchased a harness here for my puppy (10mo) and I purchased it specifically because they advertised it was durable. Unfortunately I guess my puppy chewed it apart DAY 1. I mean I knew he was a chewer but...truthfully I thought he had pulled it and it broke. Because he was wearing it from the moment we got into the car strapped into the seat to the moment I noticed it was broken. No, as any other consumer would obviously do, I took it back to pet supplies plus the moment I could. I wish I gotten his name but, he was either the manager or the owner, I'm not sure which. I walked in and of course stated that my puppy had pulled the harness apart day one. Now, I've worked in customer service before, and I know I am oversympathetic when it comes to informing somebody that they are wrong and I guess I expect the same of anybody in a managerial status in a customer service environment. He, instead of approaching the situation kindly, mimics what I said back to me in what I - the customer - understood as a mocking tone. "No, puppy didn't pull this, puppy chewed it and we don't give refunds for that because it's not a manufacturer error". To me it is perfectly understandable for a business to not offer a refund on something that they can't get any reimbursement on. However i guess, when I am a customer, I prefer someone to speak to me as an adult and say "oh, I'm sorry. this was your dog chewing it not pulling it. The manufacturer won't cover refunds for this so we cannot accept a return." Maybe I've had a bad day and this just hit me the wrong way, but I think it's important for customer service environments to handle every situation professionally. I don't always review when it was a negative experience. If this was handled differently - not accepting the return but maybe approaching it differently - I wouldn't be leaving this type of review. I really don't know how this place is still in business with all the negative reviews and the fact that it's DISGUSTINGLY FILTHY!!! I called ahead on 3/17/23 to ask: 1) Is deshedding shampoo provided? --I was told by a gentleman that no it was not, but is available for purchase. However they provide 3 different types of shampoos. 2) Are towels and a high velocity dryer provided? -- I was told yes for both 3) Are waterproof aprons available for me to use so my clothes don't get soaked? -- I was told yes again Upon arrival, there were no towels and 1 type of shampoo available. Inquired about the 1 type of shampoo and was told that's all they had. Was told that towels would be brought and then had to remind staff again about bringing towels. DRYER WAS BROKEN!!!!! This was extremely upsetting especially when the dog being washed is shedding its winter coat, a dryer is absolutely necessary to blow out undercoat and decrease shedding at home. This was the whole reason for bringing the dog in!!!! Staff was made aware of the malfunctioning dryer and nothing was done. Basically received the equivalent of an "oh well" as a response. Wow. Doesn't seem like the owners care much about cleanliness here. The store smells bad as soon as you walk in. The dog wash area was dirty and the actual spigot you'd use to soak your dog wasn't the ones normally used that have a super strong steam so you can easily soak through a thick coat. The spigot has very lightly flowing water like a bad shower-head. I gave them two an additional star because I was only charged $2.75 for the wash. I really like this pet supplies store. I've had a few friends work here and plenty more shop here. They supposedly have the lowest pricing for food in general - and although this isn't where I buy my pup's dinner, I have purchased cat food here and it is decently priced. Ick on my Fish!!! I am upset because I purchased new fish from this location to add to the school of fish I already had that actually were infected with ick. I was not aware of this as it was the first time i ever purchased fancy neon fish or fancy guppies. After 2 days I noticed more and more white spots and research which is how I learned what was going on. All of the fish purchased died in the process killed 14 of my fish one of which I had 6 years. I did go back to store to inform them of what happened and show them the tanks infected w ick. Seems to me that all animals should be well taken care of and I am not sure that is the case. A treatment was started but it really was too little too late at that point. I worked w Joshua and he did apologize. I asked for money back and he was able to refund me for fish purchased. He was nice and reached out to his manager to provide me w resolution. Fast forward some days later all but 4 of my fish died. I spent a lot of time and energy using the ick treatment changing water cleaning gravel. I spent a lot of time stressed out as I watched my fish struggle to survive going to the tank each day to het another one or two that died out. In an effort to save the 4 I went back to pet store to see if I could get discount on a new filter and heater that has temperature controlled temperature to help cure the ick situation that was caused by this store. Joshua stated he called his manager and was told no discount could be offered. I am not happy at all as I have spent a lot of money just at this location in the last month and the reason I needed these products was to help solve the problem his store created and was negligent about for days. No offer means you just don't care. I would never buy another animal from this location ever again. If you are not taking care of the fish, pretty sure the other animals are not being looked after as they should be either. read more

The last time I was at this location the shelf prices of some cat food I bought didn't match what rang up. The girl who came over that was the "manager" couldn't have cared less and argued with me about having a coupon and the price on the shelf not mattering. This is a great place that is five minutes from my house. We needed a self serve dog wash on a cold and rainy morning. Yelp found this place for me so we called. We ended up taking both dogs up there to wash and paid much less than we would have any other place or just one dog. They have all kinds of dog food - even specialty food that my dog eats. The staff was super friendly and the store was very well organized. Nice collars, leashes, toys, beds, treats and food. The only reason for minus one star is the dog washing facilities should have been cleaner. Just a quick squirt down or wipe down of the stalls would have been nice. It was clearly not done between the last dog and myself. They supply towels and shampoo. I would suggest bringing a wash cloth or glove unless you want to use your hand to wash your dog's private bits. I won't judge, I just want a wash cloth. I would also bring my own shampoo. I recommend it for anyone who lives in the neighborhood since it's worth going there over driving a few more miles to PetSmart or Petco. They have recently started selling their own private label versions of some products, and I have recently tried their private label cat litter.
