It was my first time there. I have a very picky cat and wanted to see what this store carries and they did have some good products and competitive prices. However, I couldn't get out of there fast enough. The stench was unbearable. I shop at Petco and Petsmart and I never experienced such a reaction. Normally, I can take my time and browse products, but the odor at this store was so bad that it caused a burning sensation in my nose and my eyes started to water. It was disgusting. They need better ventilation. I'm going to try another location, to see if they still have such a horrible odor. If they do, I won't be able to shop there. If anything, I'll have to do online orders. I also mentioned it to the cashier and her response was "we have animals here"! I get that!! That's why the store needs better ventilation system! Felt I should write this since I saw some negative reviews. I have always been satisfied when I shop there, but they really hit it out of the park during my last visit. I was with my rambunctious 55 lb. puppy and struggling (as a senior) to control him and carry a basket. I encountered an employee (so sorry I didn't get her name) and she not only walked me to the aisle I needed, she carried my basket and stayed with me while I grabbed the other items I wanted then also walked me to the register. Adding to what some other reviewers have said, the employees at this store are terrible. Online ordering for pickup is a mess - took them two days to figure out they were out of something that was supposed to be same day service and which was said to be and probably was in stock at time of order. When going to pick up I waited in line to be told to go to the service desk where no one was working but on different day I go straight to service desk to be told to go through regular line. Asking for help getting items off of shelves takes an act of Congress for items that should have been restocked already. Ordered 2 bags of dog food for my German Shepherd on line with clear instructions Please DO NOT Substitute as was written on the packing slip. Got there and they only had one bag. Took it home and found that they had substituted the food with one that my dog had a reaction to. took it back with the recipe and "Diva" (the name on her badge) called the manager and told me they do not take back open food! If someone in the store was trained properly to read the Additional information on the order this never would have happened. So I am out $67.70 Due to the error made by this store. ALL DONE WITH THEM! I will make sure that I reach as many people on social media to warn them. I always get all my pets goodies here: for my two pups and my furry bunny. The pricing is always good so I always feel that I get my bang for my buck at Pet Supplies. The staff at this location is always friendly and willing to help you if you need, whether it is looking for a specific item or helping you reach the dog food - they are always asking if they can lend a hand. I also like to use the self-serve wash station for my big dog. On Sunday my mom and I decided to kill two birds with one stone by taking both of our dogs for bath time (08.14.2016). We brought our own beach towels for our dogs just in case and thank goodness we did because there were no towels this time around in the wash station. I also brought my own dog shampoo and conditioner because in my opinion the ones they provide are probably decent, however their appearance seem to be that they have been watered down. It's almost like a game when it comes to towels in the tub station - sometimes they are there, other times they are not. Therefore take the safe route and bring your own just in case, especially if your pup is not a fan of the blow dryer like mine. I am a huge fan of the e-mails they send out with little discounts along with the postal mail version of it I will receive every once in awhile. Love bringing my dogs here! Everyone from the cashiers who greet you as soon as you walk in to the employees in the aisles, are super friendly and helpful. I took both my dogs in today for a nail trim and a bath, and I would never go to any other groomer but Suzy. She is great with my dogs, I always had such a difficult time trimming their nails, even having other groomers give up on my Kedzie due to her being so difficult. But when she goes to Suzy (with the help of Danny, who is also very nice) her nails are always done so well. Even my little chihuahua wasn't his normal feisty self when he got his nails done, she's like the dog whisperer. :) Definitely recommend this place for all your pet needs. I was in visiting and asked my Aunt for a groomer for our two dogs she said she had seen PetSupply plus. So we both call independently and schedule separate appointments one for Sat & one for Sun (for both dogs each). so I called back to let them know we had double booked & we wouldn't need the Sun appointment. We showed up at 2 & was told that we couldn't get started til nearly 4 and since they were trying to fit us in which wasn't the case whatsoever! Then when I did come back the groomer let someone else in to get her 2 dogs nails dremmeled & their back ends cleaned out. I asked her if her appointment was for after 2 today as well and she was told no it was last week. Um, hello if your appointment was last week doesn't mean you get to jump in whenever you want. We recently adopted a rescue dog, my first dog and I've been the primary care giver. I've had three excellent experiences at the store relating to the new dog. First in picking out food, a very nice gentleman helped me find the food I was looking for and then as it was only available in a huge bag he helped get it to the checkout. Then I needed to find something to help the dog with chewing and a young lady took me to a number of options and made recommendations which all very helpful. On my most recent visit I was looking for a harness and was confused, a young man noticed that I looked lost and suggested we look at them together. He was amazing, putting the harness on my dog, showing me how to adjust it to fit properly. Frankly, everyone went way above and beyond anything I'd expect in a retail store. read more

Do not buy anything from the store unless you could return it within 30 days. I purchased a product on December 30, 2021 returned to the store on February 1 just two days after the 30 day window. I explained that I had a medical issue and I was not able to return any sooner. The manager (I believe his name was Anthony) came out, and apologized that it's company policy and they are a franchise so privately owned. He said he would take my name down and contact the owner and someone would get back to me. It's been a week and I still have not heard back from anybody. Under the circumstances I explained and missing the window by 2 days, I would have thought they could make an exception but obviously helping the customer during times when businesses need customers, they were not willing/interested. I ordered online, since there was a 20% off coupon, plus I needed a specific item and wanted to make sure they had it before I drove to the store. Placed my order at 12:47. Should be ready in about an hour, but I understand stuff happens. Two full hours later (3pm) I had not received the "order ready" email, so I called the store to check on it. The guy who picks up says the "order just came through" and when I asked when it would be ready, he replied, "prob'ly about half an hour". I finally went to the store at six-3 MORE hours later if you're counting, and FIVE hours after I placed the order to begin with. I asked an employee what the status of my order was, and he went to get a manager. It took another 20 minutes to pull a total of 7 items-4 of which were identical cans of food! After all of this, nobody at the store even addressed the situation. It is quite obvious that of the four employees in the store, the number who give a crap are...zero. Minus the hassle?! I called the store and asked to speak to the manager & he wouldn't come to the phone!! I could hear him telling the cashier what to say as I was explaining the situation to her. I stayed persistent until he joined my call only for him to say they were out of stock & wouldn't honor the coupon for when it came in. He said it was the owners policy. I came to the store today for crickets. There were layers of dead crickets and only a few alive. The smell was so pungent that I had to walk over by the door for fresh air. The fish were also being mistreated. Every tank was either dirty or had dead fish. There was white cloudy bacteria forming around 4 dead floating fish. That takes time to happen. It's disgusting and irresponsible. How cruel for the other fish!! So very sad.. And speaking of fish the Betta fish that are away from the fish I might add are in horrible conditions! She and several other employees were not wearing masks. The assistant to the manager ( Don) at this store is rude, condescending, disrespectful, definitely has male superiority issues, I do not need to add more adjectives to describe him, you get the picture. I stopped in to return merchandise. Don, with another male (maybe customer) growls that he can't take care of me for awhile, I asked if he knew approximately how long would that be, he growls back he does not know. Then the line of questioning from him. " Do you have a receipt, is it within a month, did you get it from this store? This is across the store, I am not a moron. I can read the policies. I had other merchandise to exchange. Well, Don has to approve the return before the transaction to exchange takes place. I said fine, I'll just buy and return later. The young lady at the counter is nervous, and keeps talking to my dog and giving him treats as I get names, Don is socializing with the other male, laughing and chatting. The manager (Andy) who is leaving, witnessed what happened, asks if I can wait, I do not have time. The young lady says that if I come in on Friday after Thanksgiving they are having a great sale. She was very nervous. I felt sorry for her. Floor personnel are nice. Don has serious male superiority issues. Andy afraid to correct what he knows is wrong behavior or step in to help. Terrible customer service by the store manager Anthony. After lecturing me about being three days past the return date he bagged the wrong items which led me to getting all the way home only to find out he had given me what I had returned and I had to go back. I had to explain to him that he made the mistake when he asked me what the problem was! It was like pulling teeth to get an apology but what I should've gotten was compensation for my time and gas. I really like shopping at the store knowing that it was independently owned and operated but I guess I will have to go to a big box chain going forward and hopefully will have better customer service.
