We highly recommend that those in need of veterinary services for their pets pass this one up, unless Dr. Sherwood's total lack of communication skills, non-existent professional manner and propensity to rudeness are not an issue. This was our first visit and because we mentioned the medications that our dogs had been prescribed in another state, he told us that he could not possibly prescribe those medications without a "thorough' work up. The fact that he had our dogs' records from their previous vet was not enough, according to him, since they weren't "official" records. He said he could not prescribe the same medicines that our dogs were on without doing that new work up, and yet when I told him we did not even need those meds yet, he talked over me, insisting that he could loose his license for prescribing them and that I wouldn't find any vet who would do that for us. We came home, called another vet's office and told a member of the staff what happened and they said we should have no problem getting their medications at their upcoming appointment in two days. Perhaps the reader is wondering what type of drugs we were trying to score for our dogs: some eye drops and senility medication.

Multiple fenced enclosures and unlike most other boarding facilities, they let the dogs out to run and play with each other. Our dog always comes home exhausted and happy. It is down a long dirt road and our dog has figured out what it means when we start driving down it. She couldn't be more excited to go back every time. They are often booked during holidays, so make sure to book in advance. Prices are very reasonable and the owners are very good and patient with the animals. My only complaint is the somewhat limited hours on Sundays. It makes pick ups and drop offs a bit more inconvenient since we're always coming from out of town. To the person who left a 1 star review with their dog covered in feces, we have never had any issues like this. Baths aren't included by default so if someone's dog likes to roll around in their own feces or gets stressed out in a kennel environment and goes to the bathroom in their kennel, then this is entirely possible, but nowhere near neglectful. Our dog has come home dirty and smelly a few times, but we take her there year-round and this is the result of them playing with other dogs outside in the dirt and mud. It can't be avoided and I prefer the setup they have. I do believe they offer baths, but I'm not certain.

We had to have the vet records faxed as they were all (in the area) recovering from a bortadella (kennel cough) outbreak. We ended up leaving him a 3rd nite, as Harold said he was doing great and running all over the fenced areas. We asked for a bath before we picked him up and that was done, he was fine, glad to see us but seemed to do well with all the other dogs. I was very happy with the care he got, would definitely use them again.

I almost hate to leave this review as Sheila and her great crew are already booked pretty solid,…read morebut I have to give them credit for the best job done to date on my two beloved lhasa-poo dogs. For the past two years I have been grooming the boys myself to save the money. It's been a fun learning experience and I definitely saved a bunch of cash but I found that having a professional groom them, at least once in a while, has other benefits. For starters, Sheila noticed that one of my dogs has a fungus in his ear. I had thought it was gone so her noticing this helped me get him back on track. I'm avoiding steroids and expensive veterinarian fees and using things like oil of oregano and dietary changes (NO SUGARS) instead. It's been working but I was hesitant to pull the hair out of his ear. Sheila did this and noticed that the fungus is still there and needs more attention. She short clipped them, as asked, and did a great job around their faces. For some reason in the past groomers have not really paid good attention to their faces and it was so nice to really see their little eyes again. She also took care of their anal glands, again, something I'm not able to do on my own. I really appreciated the way Sheila took her time with my dogs, noticed more than just their visual appearance and went over and beyond what most groomers would do, even though she clearly has a full load. And last, my dogs were unstressed and comfortable with her. She's a good lady and runs a great shop. Highly recommended. Thank you Sheila!

I guess I've come to expect perfection, because the others fell far short of the job Sheila does, and they all charge more! Clearly, the others are amateurs compared to Sheila. Best of all, my dogs have always LOVED her! A couple of times, one of my dogs did have an issue with impacted anal glands, as a previous reviewer stated. Yes, it was uncomfortable for my dog but, hell... No one else ( I've tried) even bothers to do that! Sheila does a complete and professional grooming.

We were able to schedule an…read moreelective surgery just before it turned into an emergency thanks to his quick consultation and ability to move forward with surgery right away. Dr. Milan took the time to answer every single one of my questions, explain the details thoroughly, and develop a plan that prioritized my dog's success while also being mindful of financial constraints. He focused on the essential tests that made the surgery possible for me to afford, and it was always clear that his top priority was my pet's well-being and quality of life. He is exceptional at what he does, and I will always be grateful I found him. The techs were also fantastic; walking me through the pre- and post-op process with care and professionalism. That said, the business side of this hospital left a very different impression. The financial policies feel rigid, profit-driven, and disconnected from the compassion their medical staff provides. My dog's gallbladder surgery was around $10k and they required full upfront payment before even beginning check-in. This drastically delayed check and check out unnecessarily. They do not offer direct pay options with insurance providers and insisted this was somehow a "benefit" to me. In reality, requiring $10k cash or card upfront- and even refusing checks- puts families in heartbreaking positions during emergencies. The check-in process was stressful and impersonal. My dog wasn't even taken back until the payment fully cleared, which took about 30 minutes while I worked with my bank to lift a daily card limit. During checkout, I was immediately presented with a card machine for an additional $850 balance before they would even start preparing my dog for release. There was no warm greeting, no conversation about how my dog did- just a transaction. It made me feel like seeing my dog again was contingent on payment, which overshadowed the relief I felt knowing the surgery was successful. While the front desk is urgent and quick to demand the money- they cannot answer a single billing question from your receipt. In summary: The medical staff here, especially Dr. Milan, are outstanding and truly care about pets and their families. Unfortunately, the administrative and financial side of the clinic delivers a cold, business-first experience that undermines the incredible work being done in the operating room. If Dr. Milan were to practice elsewhere, I would follow him without hesitation. Huge tip: if you are traveling from out of town or just want an additional night right next to their 24/7 urgent care the hotel has a contract with them that provides a great discount. Edit/ post review: the surgical/medical team is just awesome. Called and helped me with post operation help.

My dog had TPLO surgery and she is now 100% back to her old self! From the initial consultation to post-surgery care, to rehabilitative services, everyone seemed focused on our goal, which was for my dog to be able to run (her favorite activity) and live her best life. We can't say enough good things about everyone, from the staff at the front desk, to the techs providing information, to anyone (everyone!) who took my calls post-surgery as we worked through a significant healing process. We opted for rehab services and couldn't have found a better care team!
