He doesnt need to be on the frozen food he was being fed and not only was I assisted very promptly, but the employees really know what they were talking about. I was expecting to pay a base fee of $59.99 for a full groom for a medium-sized dog in the 31-50-pound category, as my dog weighs 41 pounds. I was confident in her weight and health status, having recently spent a significant amount on preventive vaccines and treatments, including a flea check, less than two weeks ago. I dropped my dog off at 11:00 AM, ensuring I arrived on time to avoid the $35 late fee that was actually mentioned on the website. After two hours, I called to inquire about her grooming status, but they could not provide a turnaround time, so I ended up waiting around four hours for the appointment to conclude (with a confirmed time slot). When I returned to pick up my dog, I was shocked to be presented with a bill of $120--LITERALLY DOUBLE what I had anticipated. I requested a detailed breakdown of the charges and was given several vague fees that either did not apply or were not listed at all on the website. My dog, who has short, straight hair, was charged for a double coat during a premium grooming service where they were shaving her down anyway based on the haircut I chose. Additionally, I was billed as a new client, despite this being my third visit, and I had not filled out any of the REQUIRED new client paperwork. I was also charged for fleas, even though my dog had just received preventive vaccinations and flea treatment the week prior. To top it off, I was charged for the 51-75-pound weight category, despite my dog weighing only 41 pounds, and they refused to weigh her to verify ... claiming she "felt" heavier. Absolutely a scam and just making up things! Staci could have said this when she came out to get my dog 4 hours earlier. I spoke with the store manager (Dan), who repeatedly apologized and acknowledged that the doubling of the rate was unacceptable. However, he explained that the groomers are independent and can set their own prices, despite a fixed price list being available on the Pet Wize website. The groomers represent the brand, and their actions reflect on Pet Wize as a whole, creating an impression of inconsistency. I was repeatedly told that Staci, the groomer, would come out to discuss the unnecessary additional charges, but she never did. I spoke with 3 different people but never her. They refused to let me see my dog until I made the payment. My dog was in the back with this unscrupulous groomer, and I felt pressured, as if my dog was being held for ransom. Eventually, I paid, and they only reduced the $60 of additional, arbitrary fees by a measly $5. It was only after payment that my dog was released, and that was done by the cashier, not Staci, who failed to come out as she typically would. Pet Wize has become entirely unethical in their practices, and I will not be returning. In this economic climate, they are misleading customers with one price, having us sign documents prior to services, charge us DOUBLE, and hold our beloved pets hostage until whatever payment they make up is made. What if I had only the amount I was initially quoted? A lot of others would! This is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, the grooming was poorly done, so I ended up paying twice the amount I expected AND had to return home to correct the mistakes made by a so-called "professional." Worst Groom Ever!!!! Nails All Jagged Up.... Eyes Still Nasty. I took a baby wipe after the groom and got it out of his eyes easily which lets me know the either didn't bath him or just didn't care to get it out. He Is patched up with shaved hair in some places and thick in the next.. I'm just so upset my baby look a mess and when I called they had the nerve to say I had to purchase an additional spa package just to get his eyes cleaned and saying to bring him back several times to get it out. But I literally took a baby wipe and removed it easily. King gets groomed every three weeks so I know for sure he wasn't that bad off he just need a full body shave and a wash. He looks and smell the same as when I brought hmm waste of money. And they had the audacity to charge me a extra $9 because they said he was moving his face. read more

Every one of the young staff members that I've dealt with has always been so very pleasant and helpful. Today was no different. The young man at the register was very cheerful and friendly. I said that I needed to return the heat lamp that I had purchased. I let him know that there was nothing wrong with it but that it turned out that I didn't need it. He handed me the form to fill out for the return and as I began to fill it out, an older woman came over and told him that they don't do returns for those. When I asked why, she simply responded that it's just their policy. No reason. I've been coming to this store for a little over a year now and only buy my dog food from them, mostly for their buy 5 get 1 free deal. It's also close to my house. I buy my dog food exclusively from here. I go to Staci to have my Aussie trimmed. Today changed that for me. So the 1st time I exchanged my receipts there was no issue. The second time, the receipts I had were a little worn from throwing them I my junk drawer and they were difficult to read. The owner, tall, heavyset, glasses, bald, mustache man very reluctantly gave me the free bag of food and he was sure to voice that to me. Considering I've never interacted with him before, I just chalked it up to him being a grumpy old man and let it go. I mean, I interact with the girls that work there and they are much more friendly than him so I just went on my way. Today, I went in and was buying my 5th bag again and have the receipts to get my free, 6th bag. They were in perfect condition so we didn't run into the same problem again. The girl who helped me was friendly and enjoyable. The reader on the credit card machine wasn't reading my chip so she swiped it twice and it was declined. A second later, my bank messaged me to see if it was fraud and I said it wasn't so they said to wait 5 mins and try again. The girl helping was patient and happy to be. The bald man was not. So "right at 5 mins" he tried again and it was declined. Handing me my card and said, "there's nothing I can do" so I asked him if he could try one more time and he said no. This blew my mind. So I said, "umm ok" and left. As I was walking to my truck I couldn't help but walk back in and give him a piece of my mind. So I walked back in and said, "You know, the last time I came in to do this you were an asshole to me and I just want you to know that you lost my business" he cut me off and I adamantly let him know that he was going to listen to me first. I let him know I only buy food from his store, that Staci grooms my dog, and I buy all my Dog supplies from there. He asked what happened last time and I said, "come on man, you remember me and you know it. That's why you're like this to me this time" he then told me he gives away 3000 dollars worth of dog food a month, like I care. Who cares how much food he "gives away" with rebate programs through the dog food brand that gives him his money back. Anyways, I told him I don't care about that and that he lost my business. He literally couldn't care less and just said, "have a good day" and put his hand up to me. I'm pretty disappointed in this, mostly because my Aussie (Aussie owners know their dogs don't just let anyone groom them). I took my cocoa to this petwise store as a suggestion from someone who I met in a parking lot in Temple terrace Florida who spoke highly of the store I had stated that I thought that Coco looked a little raggedy and I thought they might could shape her up cleaner up make a look pretty. They never mention to me that Coco was too young since I did say she was 3 months old they went and got a stylist who came up and said sure I did say maybe half which may have been a mistake on my hair be half but I didn't mean for him to just whack the child because that's what Coco is she's like my child. When I picked Coco up about 4 that evening She slaughter with Nick's in her face the top of her head cut to her skin heart ear hair cut sideways a bad haircut and patchesand some type of glue under her eyes I guess the mask the damages to her eyes. I came here on 08/12/20 for the first time, I got my standard poodle Rockie groomed. I was a bit nervous because my poor little guy has always had the worst experience at other places due to him being a poodle and not most places are familiar with their hair and grooming. He was so excited to stay. I called the day before for an appointment and they saw him the next day. The fee wasn't that high as I've paid more at other places. When i picked you Rockie he was exactly what i wanted his hair to be and he seemed very happy. My groomer was Stacy and she informed me how Rockie did during his visit and also talked about some concerns she had which was a huge plus because this is the relationship you want to have with your groomer for the pet. I paid closed attention to Rockie and his skin being irritated. Concern I came back to the store 08/17/20 and spoke to Stacy and this other guy about his skin irritation. When i tell you they have knowledge about animals it's true, both persons own a poodle and finally some one who understands my concern about my dog. The guy schooled me about my dogs irritation and told me it could be his food and told him which one i have him. He looked it over with me and told me i should switch. He proceeded to give me a FREE bag of food and treats that contain no grain or chicken They won me over. Not because of the free stuff but because of how concern they where for my dog. I will never be coming back here again! The only good thing I got out of it was my refund. I had no appointment, so I understood that the wait would be awhile. Prior to arriving, ten minutes earlier, I let them know in specific details what it was that I wanted done to my poodle mix. The groomer told me he was on the same page as I was especially when it came to his face and underbelly and how I wanted his coat. 3 hours later ( around 5:30) I get a call that my dog is ready but then I get there and they gave me the wrong dog! How do you mix that up? What's worst is that they said he would be done in an hour and give me a call. I didn't even get a phone call and had to call them myself since the store was closing soon ( around 8) This wasn't even the worst of the horrors. When I picked him up, I was speechless. And not even in a good way. I almost didn't even recognize my dog. I had to check his collar to make sure he was truly my dog! They did not follow my instructions at all with how I wanted him groomed. Upon closer inspection at home, they didn't even evenly trim him. There was longer and shorter hair all over his legs. They attempted to shave his hind area, but you could see all the shave marks and it was horrendous. Did I mention they "attempted" to shave his privates? It's bad enough they did it, but they did a pretty shitty job. It's like they just took some scissors and snipped it. For a place that specializes in poodles, they did a really horrible job. HIT OR MISS - DONT RISK IT WITH THE DOG GROOMING SERVICES! The first time I took my dog she came out looking okay. The second time around, I barely recognized her when I picked her up. At drop-off we discussed the cut and length. What they delivered was practically a single length shave job that's not at all what I wanted for my Yorkie. She came out looking like a rat. When I expressed my disappointment the groomer told me bringing a picture would've been more helpful to her. If you don't know what a Yorkie is supposed to look like, maybe you shouldn't groom Yorkies. Also... at pick-up, they were confused about what dog was mine and were going to bring out a black terrier, then they couldn't find the paperwork for my dog to check us out. Almost killed my moms lil shih tzu. cops have video of male groomer grabbing him by the neck and slamming him on the table because he peed, than hung him from his leash from one room to another and slammed him around the tub. He could've died and pet wize has done nothing, his eyes are bloody and he is traumatized from the hanging and the beating..pet wize tried to deny it but i took him to the vet and the vet said he was beaten and strangled which is why i called the police who than got the video from them(which they refused to me and acted like nothing happened) his eyes were already like that they said!!! no sympathy from them whatsoever!! the cop that got and reviewed the video was in shock of what he just saw. seemed normal from the beginning until rookie (moms dogs name) peed, that the beat down began. cop turned video into prosecutors and i'm waiting for them to be in trouble for this. waiting is not helping and my moms dog is on medication from trauma, he is not acting ok and cant even sleep without waking up shaking from his nightmares of this place that was trusted to do what they were paid to do. owner saw video and he hasn't called to pay my vet bills or act sorry. most likely hes not! i would not even give 1 star but its forcing me to pick one. read more

She has heart issues and I didn't want her there too long that's why I made the appointment. I Never got an apology for their delay nor did they offer any discounts for the mediocre at best bath. The facility was also very dirty. I noticed a lot of fur on the floors and the smell is atrocious. The owner is not customer service oriented at all . How this place is in business I don't know . Made my first visit less than a week ago. I live down the street and have always said I should check them out. On my way to Pet Supermarket and from the road I see the open sign on so I swing in. I'm in the parking lot getting my two young children out of the car. I see a man open the door (from inside) and from what it appears he's unlocking the door. We get to the door to find he was in fact locking it. 15 feet from the door he says nothing to me. No courtesy heads up they're not open yet. Which I only found out because I immediately looked it up on my phone after not being able to get inside and wasting my time. So I write a google review while still in the parking lot because I was pretty ticked off this man said nothing but could clearly see us there. I find out it was the owner because they replied to my review and basically said my review was fabricated. That I never got out of my car and was only there for 6 seconds before pulling off. If you have small children you know it takes more than six seconds to unload them. But the real question is, let's say that "was me" he mistakenly thought I was, how could he even know??? So I went to the back and waited by the door where they take the dogs back to groom. I started knocking hard on the door and the guy tried to act like nothing was wrong. I told him to give me my dog...I wanted to go off on him but I first wanted to him to hand me my dog without hurting her. When he told the lady in the back I was there...she was behind the door and couldn't see me...she said "oh, thank god!" I'm sorry but if you can't handle skittish or barking dogs then you shouldn't be a pet groomer. THE OWNER HAS NO BUSINESS RUNNING A PET STORE. I've read other reviews from other sites and heard from other people what a nasty individual this man is! When I called and told him what happened, he told me that he had never had complaints before (LIE) and then proceeded to ask me if I was sure it was my dog the employee yelled at because there were 10 to 15 dogs in the back (LIE). Two problems with this...1. even if it wasn't my dog he yelled at...which it was...you shouldn't be yelling at ANYONE'S dog!! 2. I have a problem with a place that will hold 10-15 dogs with only two people working there. The owner didn't offer any restitution or an apology. IT IS NOT WORTH THE RISK taking your pets here!
