I have been a customer for years (not this Petco but another one). The manager Refused to refund or even exchange three items bought just before Christmas. The same exact items are for sale now in the store. He said the computer would t let him do it. Ever heard of an "override"? The manager swore at me and was EXTREMELY aggressive when I asked for my merchandise back , that I paid for. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS . They deserve a zero rating !

The grooming center is very aweful! They rush to cut the nails of my Italian greyhound and when they are finished the nails are still very long. This happens every time and I pay $15. It is a waste of time and money. If you have the time I recommend doing it yourself or call me and I will do it for you! Garbage again PETCO! Here what tank thinks of you in his photo!

Petco isn't my favorite pet store, but they do have some good pet supplies. Plus, the location is great.

Only wish they carried prescription cat food, but works well for our neighborhood pet store and they have a nice rewards program.

Continuing from first review:…read more We were DEVASTATED by what Kori had said to us. We absolutely love our two dogs, spend lots of time and money to help them be the best that they can be. I am curious to know how many people they've said this to?? Again feeling sad and hopeless, my husband almost put Loki down...but I refused and found a trainer that ending up saving his life. This trainer was the best thing that had happened to our dogs!!! Here's the thing. We listened, tried everything they told us. They gave us bad advice, did not teach us how to work our dogs and put us and our dogs in a bad situation at the dog park. It gives me a terrible stomach ache just thinking about what we all went through with this place and all the money wasted. -Deborah talks the talk, but does not walk the walk -Does not have experienced training staff -Uses only harnesses -They did not teach us the tools to be successful on our own -Found ourselves asking what we're supposed to do when we weren't at lessons, even when we asked for answers -Told us to put our dog down and to give the other away -Deborah only cares about getting paid. Loki did not get his third private lesson that we paid for.. And did not complete the full board & train If you have a dog who really needs help, especially with obedience or behavioral problems, message me and I'll tell you where we got real help and real results. I promise that you will not be disappointed. Don't make the same mistake we did.

My experience with Deborah has been very mixed. My dog is very well behaved with one exception -…read moreshe barks at the door. I scheduled a private session at my home with Deborah since this is the only place where my dog barks. She called ten minutes past our appointment time, asking if we were supposed to be meeting (we had scheduled this two days prior). Deborah and her trainees finally arrived, the training did go relatively well. My dog responded well to the techniques used, but I was very surprised that I was not involved in the training. I did not practice with my dog at all during the session. Also, the only thing my dog learned during the $150 session was to make eye contact when her name is called in order to earn a treat. A majority of the time was spent with Deborah and the two gentlemen she was training giving my dog treats in order to warm her up to them. In total the session was a little over an hour. While I was impressed that my dog stayed engaged for that long (usually during training she gets bored after about 20 minutes), I did not feel that the amount of improvement was worth $150. I emailed Deborah for advice the next day. My dog sleeps with me and was running to the front door to bark before I could command her to calm. This lead to a good amount of barking before I was able to get to her. It took two weeks to get a response and I was told that I was the problem and I needed to crate my dog at night. Crating is not an option because 1. I need my dog to sleep with me and 2. when we tried crating her originally she multiple times hurt herself trying to get out. The response was that I needed to spend more money on more training. I understand that one session can only do so much, but I really feel more could have been taught to me and that for the amount I paid there should be some more advice via email/phone to follow up.

Becca was Fired shortly after Jakes Death. Jake was with Becca Hammond for 10 days of a two week board and train when he died. She texted me on Memorial Day morning (day 10) and told me Jake had picked at his dinner the evening before, and did not eat his breakfast, thus minimizing his actual symptoms. She assured me that Jake had no diarrhea or vomiting, which had been an off and on problem in the past. Jakes Necropsy report stated his cause of death was Heat stroke probably brought on by Rhabdomyolitis. These are preventable and curable conditions that are brought on be overwork while not getting enough water. Jakes case was so severe that his kidneys failed and he also went into respiratory failure. All of these serious complications of heat stroke and Rhabdomyolitis have symptoms that would inspire a humane and astute trainer to seek veterinary care; However Becca Hammond chose instead to leave Jake alone in a Crate in her home to die a very painful death. She returned home several hours later and found him dead. This leads me to believe that Becca Hammond is either unaware of the symptoms of overwork and heat stroke in a dog, or she just doesn't care. Either way I wish I had not left my beautiful boy with her. He was only 2 1/2 years old. I am posting this in hope that no one else suffer such a loss of their beloved pet. I highly recommend you research any trainer prior to trusting your pet to anyone. Please don't make my mistake. Make sure a potential trainer is insured, and more importantly , find out if your trainer is trained in first aid for your dog. Jake died in the exclusive care and custody of Becca Hammond. She admitted to me that Jake had no diarrhea or vomiting in the ten days of her supervision. Becca Hammond told me that Jake did not eat much dinner the night before he died and picked at breakfast that morning of his passing. She also said his energy was low. THAT WAS ALL SHE TOLD ME (When I recalled his earlier bouts of diarrhea, He would skip a couple meals, lay around for the day, have diarrhea, then be fine) However what Becca Hammond told me totally underplayed his symptomatology of Rhabdomyolitis and Heat stroke. After Jake died she admitted in an email to her boss on May 29, 2018 titled "Jake timeline," and she stated that at about 11 a.m. on May 28, 2018, Jake was not wanting to leave his kennel after over two hours, even with a verbal "break" or "come" command, and with a (presumably) functioning e-collar; that he was not eager to come when called by name; that he was hiding in the shade under a bush after drinking; that he wanted "no part" of training and "kept trying to retreat to the shade or lay down instead of holding his sit," that he was "off behaviorally"; that his energy was "much lower than average during our brief training" and his hind legs "seemed weak when standing and walking"; that he looked "physically tired" and "breathing a little heavier than usual"; and that you last saw him alive at about 12:45 p.m. on May 28, 2018, coming home to find him dead at about 4:58 p.m." Unfortunately, if Becca Hammond had relayed all of this information to me, I would have realized that he needed a vet. Jake died because Becca Hammond either failed to recognize that he was desperately ill, or just chose to ignore it. Should Dog trainers need to become licensed and accountable for the health of your animal while in their care? I think they should. The proceeds of the $12,500.00 settlement I receive ( after reimbursing myself for Legal fees, and attorney portion) will be donated to the rescue that Brought Jake to us. Perhaps then there will be some meaning to Jakes senseless death, and more dogs will be saved in his name! It is sad that we could only love him for such a short time.
