    Alright, from a glance this doesn't seem like too bad of a Petco location seeing that there's a lot to offer for our 4 legged furry friends (dogs & cats) and I do like that Petco has a wider variety than what I've seen at PetSmart more or less. BUT. Being a new lizard mom, I wanted to check out the supply of feeder insects since, according to their app and online site, they have a wider variety than PetSmart, mainly the black soldier larvae flies and dubia roaches. I wanted to get these here instead of going out of my way to a reptile specialty store or ordering them online. The reptile section was abysmal. Many of the feeders were dead and desiccated, mainly the dubia roaches. Looking through the meal worms, lots have pupated and are seemingly dead. Even found cobwebs all over the reptile products, prices weren't updated to reflect prices online. I didn't feel comfy buying anything after that...

    Waited 20 minutes for someone to help us with grooming. No one was there and had to go ask someone to help us. Went to go pick him up and had to wait 20 minutes for someone to help us again. He came home with a cut right by his eye. We tried calling the location and of course, no answer. He is a very timid and not aggressive at all. In the comments, it says that he was yelled at by a German Shepard?? Not sure what that even means. Do not recommend coming to this location at all. There was no communication by the staff about what happened to his eye and bad customer service.

    My go to pet shop. So many choices and the staff is friendly and very informative. Since my dog is low maintenance on grooming, I also like to use the quick express grooming. It's a nice combo package at half the cost I usually spend.

I like to show her reference photos I find online of similar looking dogs and explain to her that I want my dog's fur "not too short but not too long" with teddy bear face. He comes out perfect every time and his legs are the perfect length every time. Before I leave, she always makes sure I'm happy with how he looks and adjust/trims if I am being nitpicky (me problem). I don't particularly like the fresh cut look because it looks too "clean" but he looks absolutely perfect in like 2 weeks when his shag comes back! I can tell how much she loves her job by the way she speaks to him. I've gone to many many many groomers in my 20 years of dog ownership and I am loyal to Bluemoon! She is really flexible with appointments and I usually call a week in advance to get an appointment and she always has availabilities based on my schedule. I drop him off, remind her what I want, and pick him up when she calls/texts me in about 3 hours! It's in a shared lot with other businesses like a laundromat and more but I've never had issues finding parking.

    I've been coming to this groomer for about two years, usually with morning appointments. This was…read morethe first time I went in the afternoon, and unfortunately the experience was very upsetting. I understand that my dog's coat can be difficult to maintain due to her hair type, and I always try to be upfront about that. This time, when I mentioned it, I felt judged right away. This wasn't the first time comments were made about my dog's knots, but this visit felt especially uncomfortable and unprofessional. My dog is extremely friendly and loves people, but she has always tried to run away during grooming appointments. Looking back, I should have trusted that as a sign. When I picked her up this time, the groomer continued to make me feel like a bad dog owner instead of offering advice or support. I come here for help and care not to be shamed especially when I'm paying $65 for a service. What truly crossed the line was when the groomer grabbed a comb and aggressively yanked it through my dog's hair to "show me" the knots. My dog looked visibly uncomfortable, and it really upset me to watch that happen. I was told to come back the next day to go shorter, but once I got home and looked closely at my dog, my heart dropped. I noticed razor burns/cuts on her body, and her stomach was basically shaved bald. For hours afterward, she was clearly uncomfortable moving quickly, constantly licking herself, and acting distressed. I had to apply something to help calm her skin. Because of how everything was handled the rough treatment, the judgment, and the injuries I decided not to return the next day. I also felt like the groomer didn't even want us to come back. I don't usually write reviews, but this experience was not okay. No dog should be handled roughly or leave a grooming appointment with razor burns. I truly hope this doesn't happen to another dog or owner.

After picking up my dog, I looked through the window and saw a groomer yelling at a small Yorkie, grabbing it forcefully by the face, and jerking it when it wasn't cooperating. I was so concerned that I went back inside and confronted the staff. When the groomer realized I had seen what happened, she immediately started smiling, saying "oh no," and changed the way she was handling the dog. Regardless, I know what I saw. As the owner of a senior dog who is blind and deaf, it broke my heart to think about how animals might be treated when owners aren't watching. I left extremely upset and have not returned since. I've also noticed that the facility has seemed less clean in recent visits than it did in the past. Additionally, there are often dogs kept in cages in the back area, which has made me uncomfortable during some of my visits. This was my personal experience, and unfortunately it was enough for me to lose trust in the business. I believe every dog deserves to be treated with patience, kindness, and respect.
