I don't normally leave reviews but staff was so rude. I went yesterday for an item and I was looking for a worker and I only came across one. I asked him for help and said to wait for someone else because he was busy. We waited about 10 minutes for someone else and once he got there he told us to basically figure it out ourselves. He couldn't help us look for the item and was rude too. Both workers who were on the floor were extremely disrespectful and their customer skills were extremely poor. I get it, it might get busy at times but no need to be rude and disrespectful to others. Never coming here again. I would recommend no one to come here if you don't want to deal with people like that. read more

I usually go to this branch even though Northridge branch is closer to where I live. The shelves here are well stocked and organized. Floors are maintained. And most importantly, the staff are nice and friendly. I've been scheduling my dog everywhere for her grooming before Brett. But now, I think we found our person to do my dog's regular grooming. Although we weren't able to get the cut that I wanted for my dog because of the amount of matting, Brett did a great job in trying to save the matted hair. The best thing he did was he informed me before I come to pick up my dog - at least I wasn't shocked how it turned out. Good customer service! I hope all branches do this too. read more

By far the worst experience with groomers I've ever had. I've taken my toy poodles to Petco before but accidentally book this location and the groomer Evelyn didn't know how to cut Toy Poodle's hair. I saw her asking a staff member how to cut it. Also, she had a broken finger and cut a huge chunk of my dogs hair and gave her back to me and the other groomer left my dog in the middle of his cut, looking a hot mess, thankfully im able to get them cut by groomers with way more experience and profession. Took my German shepherd for grooming in march and had a perfect experience, she was happy smelled great and was not shedding a bit because she was blow dried. I come again now in April and the groomers are extremely pushy for deshedding services which I denied and then it took 3 hours for an estimated 1 hour job. My suspicion is that they left my dog wet to air dry since she was wet to the touch and smelled of wet dog after her bath along with a ridiculous amount of shedding. Poor service, horrible experience for my dog and unprofessional people. (Benjamin is the groomer I had previously and will whole heartedly recommend. But he is the diamond in the rough.) read more

The grooming place here is not coordinated. They have cancelled our appointment, usually made weeks in advance, due to a groomer being sick. They don't prepare for this with staffing. Also... inconsistent service throughout the groomers. read more

I brought both my pups this morning to get bath and a trim. Ben did an amazing job with one of my pets. He came out and tried to bond with my boy to make his transition easy and get him comfortable. Which I appreciated. Brett was my other pups groomer and from the beginning it seemed like he was rushed he asked what services I needed i explained I wanted a Fanny and face trim and he told me I didn't need to get a hair cut for my pup. I said again I don't need a full haircut I just need a fanny and face trim. He then said he would compliment the trim because he said I didn't need it. Well I wish I would of payed for it so that maybe he would of done a better job. My dogs Fanny does not look good and I just noticed it when I got home. He didn't try to bond with my pup and as previously stated he seemed to be in a rush and trying to get everything over with. I enclose pictures just to show how my dogs Fanny looks. I don't think I'd be coming to this facility anymore. Or at least get a different groomer besides Brett. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Alma & Roger, my dogs groomers!! They are absolutely amazing. They're incredibly friendly & knowledgeable, it makes me feel so comfortable leaving my dogs with them. I always make sure to schedule the appointments with Alma & Roger because of the great work they do. They always make sure to ask me how I want them groomed and they leave them just how I want! They also always make sure to check them before grooming them to make sure there won't be any issues. Rude staff! I took my puppy in to get a grooming and the staff was so rude. They could not accommodate me or my puppy with anything. Evelyn has kept us updated if we ever need more shampoo for him because rocky uses a specific type of shampoo for his skin needs. She always lets us know when rocky is ready for us to pick him up! She has also shared with us how much she loves him by sending us pictures of them two having fun together. She really is the only one we trust completely but because she has been with rocky longer than anyone else and understands not to do anything without letting us know! No offense to her other coworkers aha i'm sure they're great as well but Evelyn is the best and has made sure to show how much she cares for rocky! I bring my dog Summer here for baths regularly with Evelyn. Evelyn makes bringing Summer (an anxious pup) a positive experience every time. She is so sweet and personable and goes above and beyond every time to make sure Summer feels comfortable the entire time. Evelyn is great at communicating how she did and when she'll be ready. "BEWARE!!!.. Don't come to this shop if you love your pet" I had my dog groomed with the groomer "Jose", first and foremost I already told him not to cut mỳ Goldendoodle's hair short because we're going to Vegas for Christmas together with my entire family and relatives. He said, my dog's matting is easy to manage and fix his hair easily and I even told him to cut his hair like a "bear-cut". After 4hrs. Of waiting he cut my dog's hair shaved down or summer cut without me informing what's gonna be the outcome. I'm so pissed with this groomer!!! Don't get "Jose" as your groomer!!! He doesn't have any respect to the owner of the dog! As a pet owner I treat my dog as my kid, and I deserve respect so as my dog... I should've informed first before shaving my dog's hair. I could have come back for that if that's the last option, but not for this occasion that my family will go to Vegas and they're very eager to see my dog for Christmas.... I have came to Petco for many years for all my dogs' needs (food, vaccination clinic, and grooming). Today I went in with my husband to get our dogs new harnesses and food. As my husband picked the harness I went to another aisle to pick the food, when an employee approached me and asked "do you need help finding anything," I responded "No, thank you I'm looking;" he responded "in that case we're going to have to ask you to leave if you're not going to buy anything." I found this extremely rude and disrespectful, asking a customer to leave based on the assumption that they won't purchase anything from your store. I always love this Petco so so much, they're the best when it comes to grooming my husky, but today i had a different experience..... TMI::::: Okay so I just had a baby on May 22nd, it was a vaginal birth & well I tore a bit and had to be stitched up.... I had to make a last minute appointment with my OBGYN( Farid Yashapour), because one of my stitches has been bothering... anyways, I was prescindes sitz baths and the obgyn told me to go to a pet store and buy pure sea salt! So we head to petco, and unfortunately the store had already closed by the time my husband go to the door.... David! Was and is my life saver! My husband told him why we needed to grab some sea salt and he was kind enough to reopen tills & allow us to make that purchase. I know petco is where the pets go, but I am happy that David went out of his way for us.... now I can feel great! And this is why I continue to shop at petco. Thank you David! And Petco, you're staff is a great example of what great customer service is... as a retail manager myself, I definitely appreciate seeing other retailers do great with guest servicing! Worst experience. The staff have no brain cells. Not only did I wait 30 minutes for someone to open the door, but they then refused to groom my dog!! I had an appointment, but they refused Because he takes a thyroid medication. As if that would effect the grooming at all?!! Even the manager wasn't the brightest (to say the least). I am extremely disappointed and disgusted. I will never use Petco grooming at Granada hills again. They cut a huge gash on my dogs neck her shoulder and front leg. The cut was uneven and the groomer did not attempt to brush her out but instead shaved all her coat off! Her wounds continue to bleed as they try to scab. I have been a long time customer and also a customer of Petco thrive. The groomer said she was uncomfortable during her cut but never once told me he had hurt her and made her bleed. I will make sure to tell everyone I know not to trust the groomers at Granada hills due to their negligence and mistreatment of my dog. The most insulting part is the fact that he did not own up to his mistakes and inform me of her wounds. This is horrible deceitful service. I noticed the cuts once I was home. read more

But you've got workers for a reason. To clean and help. I can never find anyone to help me. Let me start off by saying that I have been coming to this location for years because of the great customer service. However, today I was extremely disappointed. Jessica has horrible customer skills and I cannot believe she is the manager of this place. Someone else with compassion and empathy deserves to have that role like Jeremiah (he has great customer service). When I went into petco I went up to jessica and said excuse me, (because I needed help picking up my order); she rolled her eyes. When she did that I ignored it because I wanted to be the bigger person. I proceeded by telling her that I had a question about picking up my online order. She proceeded to say "ok that is not a question" in a sarcastic manner. I was extremely caught off guard because the way she treated me was unprofessional and rude. We ended up confronting her and she claimed that it was because "she had a long day." All in all, we all have our rough days Jessica. It's no excuse to be mean and disrespectful to others. Everyone has their long days at work but you shouldn't take out your miserable-like attitude on others. Btw Jeremiah had great customer service and there needs to be more people like him.
