He worked hard to find a place that would not only put up with her quirks, but would work to put her at ease. He found it in Old Mill Pet Grooming. He lived in two separate apartments before we moved in together - from Waldo to Lenexa - but he would travel up to 25 minutes each way because it was worth it. When we got married and moved in together two years ago - we continued going there (adding my dog Archie to the mix). The same service. The same smiles. The same kindness. Unfortunately, we're moving (hopefully the last time for a while!), and we'll just be too far away to continue to make the trips. When we realized this, we were both legitimately sad. The homemade treats are a favorite for my doggies. I usually buy the dozen bag and a few extra fun ones. I haven't inquired about their grooming services yet and need to do so. My doggies are low maintenance on grooming but certainly need one from time to time. The customer service here is great and there is one employee who is just fantastic! I need to ask her name because she is just so helpful and nice! She has been there every time I go in besides one. She has short hair and wears glasses, probably close to my height at 5'2 or a little taller. She is a treasure and if I get her name, I'll come back and add it here. She is an asset for this business! Always helps me pick out good items, promotes products but not in a pushy way, makes sure my pets have any free samples available. We have been going to Mr. Johns's for over six years and he always does a wonderful job. And he treats every dog like they are his own. In fact, last time I went to pick up our baby, I was early and poked my head around back and saw Mr. John was still grooming her. He had not seen me, so I sat in the front office to wait. As I was sitting there I could hear Mr. John repeatedly talking sweetly to our dog as he groomed her. I knew then that I wanted to be sure and leave a review. Oh, and his prices are great. But I think he only takes cash, or at least he did when we started going to him. That may have changed, so you might want to check.
