Pet Supplies Plus is one of the few places that sell the brand of dog food I buy. And I buy a lot of dog food (I have 350 + pounds of dog to feed). This location has all the normal amenities of other locations-food, treats, toys, bath stations, etc. I've ordered online and picked up and I've walked in. They have a good selection and fair prices. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is due to inconsistent service from employees and cleanliness of the store. There is one employee in particular who is extremely rude for no reason every time I go and she's working. I've never had a similar experience with anyone else that works there. The checkout stations are also frequently unmanned and you have to wait or find someone to check out. I've also had the unpleasant experience of getting a bag that had some sort of liquid on it, I'm assuming pee. This location was my primary location but now I normally try to go to the prairie village location. I will still pop in when I'm in the area and need dog food as my issues are "first-world problems" and I think overall this location is pretty good. read more

I was very disappointed in my experience at Pet Supplies Plus- I have shopped there so many times, however this time when I went I was met with horrible customer service. In the aisle, the item I wanted to purchase had a sale sign on it. When I brought this up to them they said it had expired and that I was wrong. They didn't believe me so I retrieved the sign. The cashier asked me if I knew how to read because it says that it was expired. When I tried to explain that there were several signs in the aisle, I was met with rude, disrespectful and condescending comments. I chose to leave without purchasing and honestly will seek business elsewhere. I was really appalled by how they were treating me, as well as the other customer behind me. She saw this and decided to walk out as well and not purchase her items due to the blatant disrespect. read more

Whenever I went in for a dog bath, the cashier seemed annoyed that anyone had walked in. While I was in the middle of purchasing the bath, she abruptly answered the store phone mid-sentence as I was saying, "Also, am I able to--," and then just disengaged from me until she finished the call. When I went to the back to bathe my dog, I found that there were already three other large dogs either bathing or waiting their turn. While it wasn't a big deal that this wasn't mentioned beforehand, it added to the frustration when combined with the poor attitude and apparent lack of interest in the dogs. I previously worked in dog grooming, and even on days when I saw countless dogs, I was always excited to meet them and made an effort to create a calm, comfortable experience. At this location, I didn't see a single dog acknowledged by staff. I can't say whether that was because I have a "scary" dog breed, but I didn't see any warmth or acknowledgment toward any of the dogs present. Because my dog has anxiety and the overall vibe felt off, I went back to request a refund. Unfortunately, the second employee was just as disengaged and didn't seem to care. She asked if I had a phone account to look up the purchase for the refund, which I did--but the first employee never entered it. read more

Updating to say that after I reached out about the issue with the employee that said they do not take 'digital coupons'. They wiped my account of all points and coupons. Will not be returning. My $5 reward coupon was still good until the 9th. Don't bother signing up for their rewards program. They'll wipe your account and then the employees claim that they don't take their own coupons through your account. read more

I love shopping here. I even give my husky a bath at this location. It's such an easy process instead of doing it at home. Prices are fair and that's an additional to them doing price match! When using the wash I rarely use the towels because the dryers works well for me, and I have a husky so that tells you a lot! read more

This review is of fish only. Went to get some ghost shrimp to help clean my bettas tank, which they didn't have. The employee told me nerite snails would do the trick. Well, there's less scum on the glass but these things poop like you wouldn't believe. And lay eggs everywhere. Not great advice. Other than that the fish section was pretty dreary/scant, and appeared to have a mass feeder fish casualty underway - literally all but ~10% on floor of tank dying. read more

"GET THE HELL OUT OF MY STORE!" Where should I start... I called this evening around 4:30 saying I needed 100 large crickets, the girl on the phone was very nice and I had explained that I lived 30 minutes away and we would be coming in after 5:30 (and they close at 6 pm) she was helpful and said they would even prepackage them if we needed but I figured that we could just go and get them once we got there. I was calling because my friend actually needed them but I called for her. When we get there, we walk in at 5:46, plenty of time to get crickets. As we walk in, an older woman named Kelly says "you have 10 minutes" okay yall close in 14 but that's fair. I say "I called about crickets about an hour ago. We all (myself, my friend, my boyfriend, & the employee Kelly) start walking to the case where they keep the crickets. Before we even get there, Kelly looks at me and says "what are you feeding" with big eyes. My friend replies "A bearded dragon" she then whips her head around to my friend and judgmentally says "you don't need 100 large crickets" in a rude demeanor. My friend reassures her that she needs 100 large. Kelly then snaps back with "that's too many, they're going to die." a little subtext, my friend has a cricket enclosure because we don't live close to any pet stores so she has all the food and items for them so she can keep them for weeks at a time. My friend then says "I need 100 large, he has a big appetite and he doesn't eat worms often." we are still making our way to the case at this point. Once she gets to the crickets she blatantly says "I'm not gonna count out 100 crickets" at this point my friend is getting frustrated so she tells me that she's going to walk away and I can pay for the crickets, like I had said earlier, we live 30 minutes away so I decide that I will just get this over with and purchase the crickets and put up with this rude employee. She then says "what's her problem" when I explain that my friend had just gotten surgery and she isn't very comfortable riding in the car for more than 10-15 minutes because of her procedure. "Well I didn't know that, she didn't have to be rude. I was just asking why she needed 100 large crickets." she says. Well actually you didn't ask that I then tell her that I was trying to be patient and respectful, but she was being very rude from the get go. She then starts with me and my boyfriend chimes in, and tells her that "at the end of the day it's your job and you shouldn't be complaining" And she says "Well you guys came in 10 minutes before we closed" she's just being a "karen" at this point. She starts arguing with my boyfriend when she tell him "GET THE HELL OUT OF MY STORE!" and he proceeds to call her a bi***. she yells upfront to "Call the police" and I look at her and say "please that's really not necessary" and i start walking to the front. A younger boy, high school age, then proceeds to start a confrontation with my boyfriend and they begin shouting at one another, my boyfriend already upset with the first employee we had to deal with, is not okay with this and he gets very heated and leaves the building. My friend asks for a manager and Kelly says there isn't one on property. She tells us to go talk to the girl at the front of the store who I had called earlier to ask about crickets. As my friend and I are explaining the confrontation with Kelly, she keeps talking over us and the girl at the counter had to literally tell her to calm down and to stop talking. As we finished telling her all that had gone down, she asked if we still needed the crickets to which we declined and walked out. All the while the younger boy and Kelly are off to the side talking crap about us. Very terrible exchange and a waste of time and gas. Please don't support this business. read more

Nice store, friendly staff. I went to this store to give my dog a bath and brought my brother to give his dog a bath as well and the disappointment came when they let me us know they had NO clean towels which really sucked for me because I just cleaned my truck and the dogs had no choice but to leave soaking wet, that blow dryer did nothing really for their fur they were soaking wet as we sat outside letting them sun dry. I would've come prepared had I known they run out of towels. So needless to say that took away from the pleasant experience. read more

Just left the store with some dog food which was my last resort. My dogs food is now being delivered to our house for better rates but thing is we just ran out of his dog food and his food shipment was delayed til either tom or next day. I came in looking at the store since I'm new to the dog world I just adopted a puppy out of no where. Once I told them I didn't need any help im just looking around they started to just work around me and keeping an eye on me like if they were rushing me out. I stopped in for the grand opening. This location is very nice, clean and easy to get in and out. It's very dog-friendly, when I was there I saw several owners bringing their dogs in. That being said, it's definitely more ideal for dog owners than cats or other small animals. There are 4+ aisles for dog supplies of every shape, size and brand. There are only 1.5 aisles for cat stuff, and doesn't really carry cat trees and only a few toys. The cat food prices were higher than other stores such as Target, Petsmart or Petco. In short: great if you're a dog owner. If you have a cat, bird or other small animal you may be better off elsewhere. read more

So we have 3 cats and we like to mix up the flavors of cat food so that we don't get any picky eaters refusing their food. We recently moved up north from the city and we stopped going to the Barkery, and we've been really happy with the people working and with all the things they have in stock. I wish there was more flavors of the primal raw cat food, but other than that this is definitely one of the best pet stores I've been to. read more

We love taking our two doodles here for the self service dog wash. We do the 5 for $25. The hydro surge dog wash mixes the water with the shampoo and is powerful enough to wet their entire coat without scrubbing. They also supply towels and have a blow dryer! read more

One Star because the store does carry the brand of dog food we buy for our dog. The bag of food was 20% higher here than if we had purchased it on amazon. The only reason we bought it here was because we had received an introductory offer for 20% off from Pet Supplies. Still not even because of free delivery from amazon. Won't be buying there again!
