    Extremely rude person!

    The young man who helped at the register, it was super friendly, however I saw some poor man asking for some help and one of the workers was extremely rude to him and spoke to him like he was a child and just super demeaning. I couldn't believe how rude she was to this man and I could not leave without taking this picture of her so that everyone is aware of how rude this lady was. I hope management gets rid of her she should not be working with people. She clearly does not want to be here. I am willing to change my review once I've gotten a response from a supervisor after they've spoken with her about her behavior.

    This location is smaller than most Petco I've been to, but it is in the same shopping plaza with my Mom physical therapy, the reason I came by today was because my auntie and uncle cat recently ran away still remained missing, their children were so sad. They assigned me to look around for a new orange tabby, and it was my lucky day, I went inside and found Salem. It was thru another organization called Kanes K9s and Animal Rescue, I spoke with Kendra, the adoption process was quick and easy, within an hour after we paid our adoption fees via Zelle, then Petco let us take Salem home. We're thankful for the friendly staffs and their professionalism and knowledgeable service.

    Check the equipment before taking it home! I purchased a $270 water filter. While cleaning out my 100-gallon tank, I opened the box to find the hoses in a grocery bag. Water in the filter bay with used filters still inside. The smell was horrible, and the water spilled on my clothes and floor. It's super inconvenient during a cleaning. Something for the inconvenience would've been great, instead, I was questioned if I used it.

    As always the Store was Clean and Well Stocked. I was helped by Jess who put together my order I had just placed on the Petco App to Pick Up. Thank you Jess, I hope you have a Great & Happy 4th of July

    The grooming department is lousy!!! I took my Maltese poodle & Kira took her in & we decided on the cut she needed & Kira took it upon herself to give her a shorter cut, using the excuse that she was matted. My dog was not matted!!! The professional thing to do was to call me & let me know if there was an issue, but how dare she take it upon herself to decide what to do with my dog!!! I was extremely upset & and I will submit a formal complaint to the manager. Kira left my Maltese with no hair. If you love your pets do not allow this dept to groom your dogs.

    Archie goes in with long hair and comes out looking like a Duke. Love how the ladies ALWAYS take such good care of him. Frida did him right and as you can see, his confidence shows it. THANK YOU

    The lid would not fit over the filter - it is as if Glowfish never tried setting these up before shipping them out - QC should have caught

The work is learning how to respond and create calm and that takes consistency. I spent three straight weeks training four hours a day, every single day. I cried. I doubted myself. I wanted to quit. But I followed the Bark Busters program exactly as taught--daily simulations, real-world scenarios, repetition, and patience. And then something incredible happened. My dogs slept. They relaxed. They trusted. Today, I can leave my home and my dogs are calm, quiet, and peacefully sleeping, knowing I'm coming back. Visitors come and go with ease. My 9- and 6-year-old Maltipoos are relaxed, confident, and happy. And so am I. Here's the truth people don't want to hear, there is no magic pill. There is no shortcut. As first-time dog owners, the early support really did help us. Having someone we could call during those overwhelming first months was a relief. Over time, though, I realized I was hoping the training would shift toward more positive reinforcement. The constant, harsher corrections worked at first but eventually didn't seem effective anymore and started affecting my relationship with Mimi. I noticed this during a family trip where Mimi, who is usually fearful of strangers, bonded more easily with my husband and his family. She gravitated toward them when scared, and I realized it might be because they weren't following the correction-heavy approach, while I was. I also asked for help with Mimi's fear and reactivity toward other dogs, but was told they didn't have dogs available for training and that I would need to bring a calm, socialized dog myself. As a non-trainer, that was very hard, but we tried by traveling many hours to introduce her to my husband's family dog. The experience ended up being chaotic since the family didn't fully understand what the process required, and new people and dogs kept appearing even though Mimi wasn't ready. Her reactivity came back in that environment, which made me feel like the training had only put a bandaid on deeper fear issues. Maybe I should have clarified expectations better from the start, but with a high-need dog and being new to all of this, I didn't know what to expect. Since then, we've switched to a positive reinforcement trainer who organizes structured group activities. Mimi is still scared of bigger dogs and can still be reactive, but she's improving slowly and has been able to meet a few smaller dogs. She's also still fearful of people, but she nips a lot less now, so progress is happening. Overall, Bark Busters helped us in the beginning, but long-term we found that a different, more positive approach has been a better fit for Mimi.

He has shown us what cues to look for and how to get the best out of our dogs while using firm and loving methods. Essentially, he teaches us how to motivate our dogs to want to do the exercises. He has wonderful follow up, as well, and doesn't push anything but rather encourages. It has been a wonderful experience and we will work with Fernando again after we've had time to practice what we learned. He took the time to really understand Cowboy's personality and our specific goals. I signed up for group classes but we were the only ones registered so it ended up being a one-on-one. I would totally recommend it!! Rebecca is the trainer at Spring Valley. She was so patient and explained everything very well. She is very knowledgeable and professional. I can tell Dixie looked forward to going to her class every Thursday because she would get excited once we were close to the building. Rebecca was also flexible with rescheduling due to our life issues. On her last class Dixie received her certificate and a bag full of goodies. I can see a huge improvement in Dixie's behavior!! Thank you Rebecca!!! Side note: The rest of the employees there were also very sweet. I was always greeted with a smile!

They also match their online price and she wasn't rude about me asking that at all. She was super helpful and also answered my questions about the vet they have onsite! I wish I took a picture of their full menu, but their prices are fair and appointment availability is super convenient.
