Absolutely unbelievable how horrendous the experience I just dealt with! I will never go back to that location due to the pathetic customer service and the manager arguing with me about the price online. I go in to buy Priscilla fish, says online 2.99 per fish to $4.99 and for example, there's only one Pristilla green type of fish listed and it's a sale online, well turns out they would not match the price said it's a different type of Priscilla. Such a bad experience after 30 minutes of arguing with the cashier and manager about how I just bought the exact same fish at the Pearland location for more than half the price and there literally only being no other green Priscilla fish listed online they still did not price match it. Overall it's experiences like this that make you never want to go to a business like that again. I'll take my money elsewhere and it may not mean much but these horrible customer experiences will keep happening at that location and eventually corporate will shut it down or ppl will stop going there and it will close down on its own. I understand these are ppl who are usually working temp jobs like kids during summer but the manager has no excuse and should be fired! I spend over a thousand dollars annually on my animals and I will burn that money before it is ever spent supporting a company that has the lowest of low customer service, the GM needs to contact me & I will be calling corporate because this is just unacceptable read more

we were there for cat food and normally we always find expired food closer to the back end of the shelves but in this one there was more expired food than good food please make sure to double check your pets food only saw it on cats food but im not sure how the dog food looks like read more

First and foremost the experience was good. Everyone is really nice and welcoming, they help u on what u need to find and make sure to give u the best experience, the only thing I was really upset about was that I had purchased goldfish and they died the next day . I typically have great experiences at this store as there is a lady that works there that has bulldogs like myself and she is always very polite and helpful! I took one of my dogs their one day to purchase a harness for him to ensure that I got the right size and she helped me through the entire process! I always purchase food here as they typically stock Royal canine English bulldog formula that I feed my dogs! Nevertheless last night I placed an online order for additional harnesses to be delivered but when I received the order, the wrong size was placed in the delivery, I ordered L-XL and received M. So I drove down to the store to exchange them for the correct size. Upon entering I told Stephanie my reason for visiting which turned into a very stressful upseting 15-20 minutes of my day! She actually devalued my time by even going as far as telling me that it was nothing she could do and that I could come back with my ID TO EXCHANGE THE ITEMS FOR THE RIGHT SIZE since she couldn't see the transaction by looking up the loyalty number which clearly means that petcos system does not update immediately. But she should know that! It was Pure and utter foolishness..... But moving on that was a lie because once I made the statement "so their is no way that you can enter the order number instead of the loyalty number that is not showing the transaction.....she asked me for it to enter, and after upsetting me and wasting my time she can now process the exchange! She proceeded with the exchange without incident which she charged me 5 additional dollars for but I paid because I was ready to go! So my problem is: Was I suppose to leave with the medium harnesses when I drove over their for right size that I ORIGINALLY ORDERED? She does not know how to assist customers who place orders online as a MANAGER! I LITERALLY HAD TO TELL HER TO TRY THE ORDER NUMBER AFTER She went through multiple trials of going about the return the wrong way NO ID RETURN CONTAMINATED RESTOCK ENTERING THE PRICE AND PRINTING OUT A RECIEPT THAT SAID REFUND DECLINED..... She is incompetent because she should know to enter the order number as the first approach to an exchange or refund of an online order! She needs training on communication and being a solution based employee as that is how customers return, as people have options when it comes to how and where they spend their money and at the top of most consumers list is how are they treated when spending their money..... Why ask for my phone device if she knew not what she should be looking for on the app to facilitate the exchange? She needs to be trained because a manger should know how to handle all transaction UNPROBLEMATICALLY. In her approach and disposition that she wouldn't be able to help me, and her solution being that I leave with the wrong collars that I came with by incident of petco delivery of the wrong merchandise NOT MINE is a problem THAT SHOULD NOT HAPPEN TO ANY CUSTOMER LET ALONE A LOYAL ONE! I should not have had to, as a consumer/ customer find a solution to this matter by having to INSTRUCT HER TO ENTER THE ORDER NUMBER, invest so much time and energy into a matter that should have taken three minutes tops and being subjected to being in the store after the lights went out and the doors were locked! I am so disappointed with the care they are giving the fish. Each tank had SEVERAL dead fish. One tank had a fish that the back fin was gone and he was alive and swimming upside down. So sad! There were 2 freshwater tanks that we so cloudy that I could barely see the poor glow fish. There was a tank with about a million sick fish. Like seriously what's going on here? Then there were wet floor signs. Smh I just dont understand. I have gotten fish from here before but NOT today. **I will update the review for a higher rating once they improve the fish conditions!** read more

We bought a Betta from this store 4 months ago with the bare essentials. Last weekend we decided to upgrade to a bigger tank and decorations ect.. we didn't get much help or info on the things we bought so I returned some items after doing some research online. The manager Diana Gomez was very professional and polite with knowledge I needed for my Betta! She didn't give me any problems exchanging with my receipt. Service here has declined extremely!!!! I live in Siena and have been shopping here for years and the service has declined extremely since Clarissa left. I'm not sure who's in charge of hiring now but the last three times I was here I received extremely rude service from trying to do a return to literally getting kicked out after the store had been closed for 6 minutes. I will be returning in the future because this is the closest location but based on the treatment I've received here if I had another option I would definitely consider it. John is also very nice and pleasant and both of the young lady's are as well, extremely friendly. But the older gentlemen here are severely rude. To chase me down the aisle from both sides informing me you all had closed? It just felt like an ambush and I know from experience with Clarissa that this type of behavior is not allowed. read more

Hard to put a two star rating when the nice black lady that took care of babies was so sweet but the manager Rebecca is a witch with a B! She was bossy, pushy, and rude. All I needed was one puppies nails trimmed and the other one was just there for moral support. I had to run next door to Krogers to grab a few things and wouldn't be long. The very sweet lady told me it wasn't a problem and would only take her 10 minutes and that she would just kennel them together. When Rebecca heard that she began to inform me that putting them together was kinda against policy and I proceeded to tell her that I kinda didn't care. When I came back to get them the sweet lady opened their kennel and opened the door to let them run right to me. Don't know if I will be back or not! read more

I have brought my 8 month old German Shepherd for grooming and nail trim for the last 6 months and every time Tracy has been our pups groomer she has been awesome to our pup and has Always been very informative and has always had our puppy done pretty quickly. I would recommend Tracy for any grooming necessities :). read more

We brought our two dogs, one cockapoo and one cocker spaniel. The dogs needed a brush and bath. My husband repeatedly told the woman Rebecca NOT to shave them. They were not badly matted, just fluffy and smelly. We went to pick up our dogs and both are shaved. To the skin. And one has a cut from where she was shaved. Rebecca insisted she told us she would be shaving them. Im horrified. My dogs are traumatized. They offered a coupon on further services. Are you kidding? I wont even buy food from this place unreasonable. And no excise except lazy inept people. There is no dog grooming going on. They just straight up manhandle your pets and shave them. STAY AWAY!! LET ME BE CLEAR - If I could have given this Petco GROOMING DEPARTMENT "0" stars, I would have. 1. The Manager of the grooming department does not listen, she is argumentative, disagreeable, and is seemingly in denial of how your pets have been treated at their facility. She treated my 2 small puppies as if she didn't even LIKE them. 2. When I went to pick up my dogs after their grooming, both of them had BLOOD RED EYES, and the puppies looked very very sad. I very nicely pointed it their blood red eyes to the manager (because I have NEVER seen this on my dogs after a bath). I thought maybe she had not noticed it. The manager immediately went into "defense mode" and rudely said to me that, "THEY ALL LOOK LIKE THAT AFTER A BATH". I said, "MY dogs don't always look like that after a bath." She said, "It will go away! This is what they ALL look like after a bath!! It will go away!!" I said, "What do you mean that this is what they all look like?" She said, "They all look like that after a bath!!" I said, "Well it looks very painful. Can you at least put some soothing drops in their eyes?" She told me, "We don't have any!" I said, "This is a pet store! What do you mean you don't have any? Can't you get some off of the shelf if you don't have any back here?" She pushed back very hard and I finally had to insist (for my poor puppies sake) that she give them some eye drops. I even offered to BUY THE DANG DROPS! This went on for a few minutes when she finally reluctantly agreed to put drops on 1 of the dogs. Then I had the daunting task of asking for drops for BOTH dogs. That didn't go well either. She was AGAIN, very disagreeable, and made it VERY clear to me that she was NOT happy about it. The manager/groomer was very unkind to both me AND my puppies. I dreaded my promise to take my Dog Tasha to her favourite outing...Terrorizing rodents at Petco. But i did need some other items...the problem is that Tasha gets so enthused she drags me around. But immediately I was greeted by Gabrielle. She was so helpful selecting fish plants etc...politely ignoring the lungs toward the rodents. At check out i mentioned this location only had 2 reviews...i I had the least stressful time shopping w her help in spite of my Dog. She was also knowledgeable about other canine arthrtis products. I don't know why the low reviews its clean friendly with real people working that really assist. Bonus points for No Self Check out. After dropping off my dog I had to return 30 minutes later to pick him up because they refused to groom him. Why you ask? Because he is on a steroid for what is basically bone cancer. Because he is not a health risk to other dogs or people, he was cleared to be groomed by his extremely seasoned and expensive Internal Specialist. However, apparently the dog grooming medical experts at Petco don't feel comfortable having him in their store. read more

The grooming is great !! Just one time someone shave my dog bald was not happy with that! I had no control over that cause Im not sure to blame the groomer or my fiancé because he dropped and picked her up! But over all the staff inside the store is very great and helpful !! We took our dog in for grooming on 11/21/15 at 10AM. We were given an appointment for 3PM the same day. My husband brought our dog in at 3PM and was told that she would be ready by 8PM. My husband asked why we were given an appointment for 3PM if they were not going to honor it. Unfortunately, we left the dog as she desperately needed a bath. After more than one hour we called back, and they had still not groomed our dog. My husband decided to pick up the dog, ungroomed. When he arrived, the manager, Rebecca told him that the dog had been groomed, but he would have to pay an expediting fee for the grooming. She held our dog hostage until my husband paid the "expediting" fee. This is totally unacceptable, unprofessional behavior. My husband called our credit card company to dispute the "expediton fee". Rebecca was conferenced in on this call, where she proceeded to tell untruths regarding the expediting fee to the credit card company as well as my husband. Luckily for us, the credit card company removed the "expediting fee". In terms of customer service, ethical behavior, and fair treatment of an innocent animal, Petco and Rebecca have completely failed. I would strongly urge people to avoid using this particular store. read more

The groomer, Rebecca is very rude and disrespectful. I remembered when I first came here,, she shaved all my dogs hair when I told her not to. Seems like she is doing stuff according to her own wishes and not the owner's. She has no right to do what she wants with my dog. I remember my dog was traumatized after she shaved him. He came home looking dizzy like he got drugged. I was so pissed because it seemed like they placed my dog under drugs during the grooming process even though they claimed to not have done so. Ever since my dog came home, his eyes couldn't stay open much, wouldn't eat for a week and kept hiding in his house. I will never step foot into this place ever again! I recommend that you take your pet grooming to QQ Pups located on highway 6, they are very nice and do a good job. My dog seemed fresh and happy after walking out of QQ Pups. read more

We took our large white German Shepherd in for grooming and requested their deshedding procedure as she has a lot of undercoat. When my husband brought her home it didn't look like she had been touched by any kind of deshedder or even brushed out! I can grab handfuls of hair off of her. She may be clean and smells good, but I'm out $28 for nothing. I'm really surprised because when we took her in the first time a couple of years ago I was very pleased with the outcome but each time since just seems to get worse and worse. I'm done here and will look for another grooming salon in the area. read more
