I was in town checking on my grandmother in Mobile and visiting family in Daphne. While spending time with her, she mentioned wanting to get her fish tank set back up. I decided it would be the perfect Valentine's surprise to bring her aquarium back to life. I stopped into the Daphne location just to "look around," and that's when I was greeted by Heath -- "like the Heath bar," as he joked. From the moment I walked in, he was welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate. He told me he owns four tanks himself and absolutely loves aquariums. And it showed. I have never owned a fish tank in my life. Heath patiently educated me on everything -- which fish were compatible, what setup would work best, what to avoid, and how to make sure my grandmother's tank would thrive. He even said, "I hope your grandmother likes my selection," which was such a thoughtful touch. After surprising my grandmother (she cried, by the way ), we realized her old tank equipment wasn't working -- the filter and light were both out, which probably explained why it hadn't been running. I initially tried going to a Petco location off I-10 in Mobile to grab what we needed, and unfortunately, it was a completely opposite experience. I waited nearly 20 minutes after asking twice for assistance. It was frustrating and disappointing. That's when I said, "You know what? Let me just call Heath." And I am SO glad I did. Even though the Daphne store was about 20 minutes away, it was 100% worth the drive -- and I would make that drive again and again. Heath immediately told me it would be smarter to purchase a full kit instead of piecing parts together because it would save money in the long run. When I arrived, not only did they have great sales (50% off some items and 20% off others), but Heath had everything already pulled and ready for me. A wonderful young lady greeted me when I came in (I hate that I can't remember her name, but she was fantastic). Heath came out from the back, smiling, and said, "I've got it ready for you." I remembered one more item I needed, and without hesitation, they helped me with that too. The entire team made me feel comfortable, supported, and confident in what I was purchasing. Today, my grandmother has a beautiful, fully functioning aquarium again -- and she is so happy. And I'm happy because I didn't have to overthink a single thing. That's what exceptional service does. Well done, Heath and the entire team at Pet Supermarket in Daphne. You didn't just sell fish -- you helped create a special memory for my grandmother and me. She allowed me to interact with them in a private room. She did not rush me at all or push for a sale. The Boston Terrier I picked was a surprise for my wife and daughter. She is very playful and eating well. We took her to the vet to get her scheduled vaccines. The vet said she was healthy and she didn't see anything to worry about. She said he was unhappy because he had matted fur that took her a long time to get through and it made him upset so he wasn't cooperative. He goes to the groomer every 2 weeks and WAS on their schedule every 2 weeks through the end of the year. He is bathed/dried/brushed/combed at home between grooming visits so I know for a fact that the story she is trying to tell about him being matted up is a lie. He was just there 2 weeks prior but there were no issues at that visit. I feel like she got in a rush and messed up as is trying to cover it up. His cut is uneven all over the place and the bath was mediocre. I don't know if this person is new and inexperienced but I don't care. My baby will NEVER go back there again. My dog has his own FB and Insta pages if I need to prove that he is not unkept and that he doesn't have matted hair as I'm sure that will be the excuse given in any reply. As of now they haven't apologized or even followed up after I complained and canceled all of his future appointments. Just blamed the dog and that was that. 2 weeks later: tried to take my baby to a groomer that he has been to before and he is now scared to go. The Dog Shop has literally traumatized him. They said the grooming that was done looked like a beginner did it. Uneven everywhere. Feet cut was too high on top of the damage. My poor baby that used to go without too much push back is scared to death. Doodle owners/pet owners. If you take your dog here do so at the dogs risk. It was clarified that his feet were burned from hot clippers.

They smelled fresh but not perfumed I appreciate this because one has asthma. 2) my nervous dog was very calm and both were very happy and relaxed. I feel like they felt at ease and cared for. That's a win win! Be sure to bring cash or check because they don't accept credit cards. My bill was $204. Once I get there, I am told she has yeast in her ears and to give her children's claritin for breathing due to trachea. Last night, Boots was breathing was labored, she whined all night and did not want to sleep. I contacted ER med vet and was advised to give her claritin and follow up with my Vet. Today, I call at 11a and stated the obvious. Do you want to bring her back for an exam (additional charge). No, i am calling for further recommendation as i was there Friday and the claritin is not working. I am told I would receive a call back. Around 345p, I receive no call and contact them again. First, Noone remembered me calling, hence I was told about the call back without alerting anyone. After calling for the second time, holding for 15 minutes, I am told that there is no record from the visit on Friday and I would need to come in and recharge for another exam.... Needless to say, its a hard NO! I don't not recommend due to no records, additional charges, lack of care and customer service.
