Do not say nail cut and grind can be walk in and then I show up at 9 and get told they only taking appointments and she can not get done until 10. As a mom who has a 4 year old, 6 month old and 5 month pregnant we typically just run in and a quick trim of the nails, there is nothing worse then getting everyone plus the dog out do the car to he told we have to wait a hour before they have time. Very little consideration or customer service as we have used pet smart for years. I guess we are going to drive further to another place because clearly our business is not appreciated. read more

Dropped off my doodle today and said I just wanted a little trim to clean up his current cut and trim his face so he could see. I keep him fluffy and he's not matted. They shaved his nose and said that is part of a trim, but that isn't what asked them to do. He is completely fluffy and has a shaved nose. Sadly, this is the Petsmart groomer nearest to my new home. I have a Lhaso Apso mix who has been groomed at other Petsmarts every 8 weeks for his entire 5 years of life, but no more. I came in today to be informed there was a note on his profile from his grooming 2 months ago that he was "violent and aggressive" WTF? This dog is never aggressive with anyone, he never met anyone he doesn't like. I have trouble keeping him from trying to go home with strangers because he loves everyone and assumes they reciprocate. Not these groomers however. So they proceeded to take him and then called me 2 hours later telling me that his nails were too long - you think maybe they forgot to cut them the last time he was with you? They always forget his nails. Anyway, I picked up my violent Lhaso Apso attack animal and took him home. A friend came and groomed him, putting his life at risk of the 10lbs bundle of violence. PetSmart used to be my choice for furbaby snacks and stuff then things changed. But today I dropped in the one on Schillinger ( fav was Airport Blvd) and was pleasantly surprised. There cashier ( a guy) can't recall his name oops, is what's going to keep this place going. The prices are great but customer service was outstanding and the check out was quick and included comedic small talk. The prices really are reasonable and they have a food expert on hand most days, she mentioned that to me while I was picking up some food my Millie. The store is clean, organized and just big enough. There was a cat adoption and some cute kids checking out fish and hamsters. Thanks Cashier guy, I just might come here more often. (Cue the big smile emoji) read more

PetSmart is by far my favorite pet store in Mobile , along with B & B .. PetSmart has a larger selection than any of the other pet stores in town .. All of them could do with a little price slashing , I think prices are way too high on most items and I have resorted to buying some of items online . If I have to go to the store though , I prefer PetSmart ! The people are great and very helpful , also very happy all of the time . My only complaint here too is that there's usually only one register open and there could be 6 -8 people in line , and management won't open another one at all sometimes or when the line has gotten really long .. That's it , I just feel if you are going to run a business , have someone working the registers !!! read more

No common sense. I understand the need for vaccination records, however, my dog had his vaccination medallion on his collar that was dated 2017. It is March. It is clearly within the time frame for an up-to-date vaccination. I was told that the medallion could be from anywhere and therefore not a reliable source of information. My response: "I can write up my own letter head and print it out and say it's from any vet clinic. How would you know?" No response. These folks stuck to their guns. I wasn't even offered a muzzle as a second option, despite this being the solution in the past. Please don't set a false precedent. As I said before, I understand the need for vaccination. As a nurse, I know that certain things need to be up-to-date, but I also use critical thinking nearly every day to make my patients as comfortable as possible: but this is not surgery, nor is it medicine. My dog needed a nail trim. Simple logic could have solved this, but no, we can only think within the box. read more

Took our dog to get her groomed and had the worst experience!! Do not take your dog here if you want good service. Upon arriving, the groomer seemed to have an attitude and tell us our dogs nails did not need to be trimmed because they were already pretty short. However, they haven't been trimmed since August. She has black nails and I know this makes it difficult, but you can definitely tell they needed to be done. After dropping her off, they called us to inform us she was not being cooperative, she hit her head on the metal bar, they tried to put her in the safety harness and they were going to try one more time. She was there for 4 hours and we got this call about 2 hours in. Once another groomer tried, she was able to cut her nails and grind all of them down except for one. They also said when trying to clean her ears she tried to bite them so they were unable to. My dog is not aggressive in the slightest and has slight anxiety but not enough to snap at people. When we picked her up they told us we just need to take her to the vet from now on however we have NEVER had problems with her being groomed before. We will not be back!! We are outraged with how they treated her and we still got charged for all of the services even though they "weren't able" to complete them. Will not go back to this location and definitely not these groomers. read more

Love pet smart. They always have tons of options for all pets. Pets seem to be In good health even though a lot of them get neglected. The 85.oo adoption fee is worth the price bc of of everything that it includes. Personally, I'll adopt from a shelter and just use pet smart for food, treats, and accessories." read more

Customer service was subpar. Checked out by a guy named Chris. Took a moment for him to acknowledge me at the register. Asked if I wanted to sign up for rewards, I did. He spelled my last name wrong, claimed he couldn't correct it. Didn't ask for my email to receive offers. Then I had to ask him to bag an item for me. I don't think these kids in the work force today know anything about proper customer service. Not sure I will be back to this business if I can find the $56 worth of food I just bought somewhere else. read more

The employees that I have asked for assistance have always been very knowledgeable about the products that I have asked about.
