What happened to this place? I have been coming here for years and I've always had a great experience. The past month or so, has been disappointing. I'm usually here several times a month for my pet supplies and I've noticed an abrupt decline in the organization of this store. The shelves are not fully stocked and the inventory is at the end of each isle on their carts as though they intend to stock. It's now to the point that I have to look for the pet food on these carts instead of the shelves. These carts with the same pet items have been sitting for a good month without being stocked. I'm not sure if it's a staffing problem or a management problem but either way it's now stressful shopping here. Shopping for my pets used to be a fun thing to do but now I'm just in and out of this store so I don't have to deal with the clutter. Unfortunately, I will be shopping at a nearby competitor now. This location has become a chore to visit. read more

I was in the middle of a conversation with one of the groomers when I overheard Tisha having a NASTYYYY attitude with one of the other customers there. Like who does that to someone who is coming into your business??!! I found out that she is one of the managers there?!?!?! Like how do you allow someone like that with awful customer service to run your store? Pet Grooming: On 08/23/2021, around 6:20pm I witnessed one groomer worker (male, who was training a new male employee) aggressively pull the dog's face toward him while he was cutting the dog's face fur. I continued to watch through the window for the next couple minutes, and this worker appeared very impatient/uncaring for the dog. I notified a female cashier about it, I'm not sure if anything will happen. Big corporations will not provide good care or experience for your dog... Reconsider where you get your dog groomed. These workers are simply working to collect a paycheck, they don't actually care about your pets. They're not going to care about the quality of service because they're just there to get in and get out. I feel super bad for the innocent dog. I literally just walked in to get my dogs nails trimmed because it says on here that we can WALK IN WITH NO APPOINTMENT AND I also CALLED JUST TO MAKE SURE. This Petco has the worst reptile section always empty tanks . And dont even try to buy fruit flies because they are either out of stock or the ones they have are full of bacteria. This is the second time with this issue They have fruit flies from august 20 2019 on the shelve full with bacteria and not reproducing! I don't understand why they sale these reptiles that eat this food but they don't care after you buy them on stocking the food for your reptiles! ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE. TISHA OR TRISHA whatever her name is has HORRIBLE customer service. This is the second time I write a review , yelp took down my last one. So I'LL BE CALLING CORPORATE. Yesterday around 7:30pm I went to this location and went directly to the insect section. As I notice a big roach on the floor i kindly let her (Tisha) know and she responded with "ARE YOU OPENING THEM?" With a NASTY FKG ATTITUDE. I instantly FELT ATTACKED and proceeded to tell her to stop with her attitude and as she's shouting at us she realized and brings her voice tone down. Then we have another associate or manager? Not sure but just standing there staring? Why didn't she step in and correct her associate? As a previous manager I would NEVER accept that type of behavior from any associate. Then I go ask another associate for Tisha's name and she responds with "Her name is Trisha, I'm sorry she tends to get A LOT of complaints" ?? Coming from another associate is wild because why haven't you done anything about it?? She needs to learn to analyze the situation and problem solve in her head and NOT attack customers. Never did I once get a call from them and when I showed up they said my appointment has been canceled because I never responded. How can I respond if I never got a call. Took my dog to get groomed yesterday. Jill did a rushed job because "bigger dogs were coming in" it left my dog smelling funky. Called manager to complain and she stated that I didn't pay for a scented bath just a basic bath. This was his 4th visit here and has never been sent home stinking like this. This is a small PETCO and is in a shopping center area with other retailers like In N Out Burgers, and the parking can be tough and tight at times, as with the traffic, but it's doable and bearable. If you need pet supplies in a pinch, you might want to call first to see if they have what you want and need in stock, and if they do, it's a good convenient location to shop at. read more

Completely disappointed in this location! The groomer completely lied on my dog in the notes and has made it very difficult for my dog to be seen. She went in for a grooming appointment but unfortunately while she was there her stomach ended up being upset which let to them bathing her 4 times for that day, which for anyone realizing this my dog was very uncomfortable with the situation and was irritable. In my instructions I noted to leave her ears alone because she is a little older and has very sensitive ears so it hurts her in some places on her ears but yet they still kept messing with her ears each time and she nibbled and the groomer. When I picked her up she said she had diarrhea and believed my dog has anxiety from not wanting to be in the cage and was recommending a different style of washing so she isn't there too long but the issue was the discomfort from her not feeling well and the diarrhea and being cleaned numerous times in that day while touching a very sensitive spot. Because of this situation they have banned my dog from coming to the location and any of the locations because they claim that she is 'AGRESSIVE' and she 'BITES'! This is all a lie, I have the most calm and sweetest dog. Just completely rude and inconsiderate. read more

I had an awful experience with this Petco and the level of customer service received by the manager Katrina. I ordered some items for same day pickup (powered through DoorDash). In order for same day delivery you have to order before 2pm. At 3pm, Petco emailed me that one of my items was out of stock; they didn't give me a choice to replace the item, they just adjusted the order. I immediately called the store to see if I could replace the item with a similar item that was in stock. Katrina told me that I couldn't do that, she said I'd have to place another delivery order to do that (meaning pay the delivery fees again, another tip for the driver, and it wouldn't get to me until tomorrow because it is now after 2pm). I asked if I could simply pay for the item and have it sent out with my order being delivered today. I didn't think it would be fair for me to have to pay all of those fees again, seeing as though it was their incorrect inventory count that led to this problem in the first place. But I still offered to pay the fees again if she could just make sure it was sent out with my order today instead of as a new order tomorrow. She insisted that she couldn't do that, and as a last resort finally said I could call DoorDash and talk to them. I called DoorDash and they immediately said that wouldn't be a problem; they said I ordered through Petco so it had nothing to do with them because I had already paid all dues on their end. I asked if the DoorDash assistant would be willing to 3-way call Petco to explain this. She agreed. We waited over 20min for Katrina to answer the phone again....in those 20 minutes, the DoorDash driver had stopped by the store to pickup the order. Despite Petco knowing I had an issue with this order that I was currently on hold with them about, they sent out the order. So now..due to Katrina's lack of knowledge on the relationship her company has with DoorDash, I have paid for delivery & tipped 20% for an item I am not receiving. This could have been such an easy fix, very poor management. Also, it would be nice if Petco gave you options when they realize something you've already paid for is out of stock. read more

Went yesterday for my new dog to have his first big grooming. It was $80 for my gsd. I would not take him back there again because of the way I was talked down to by the 2 grooming employees at Petco. The gentleman at the checkin counter mansplained all kinds of things to me I didn't ask or want to discuss- what food I give my dog (he didn't approve, said why,I corrected his misinformation about the brand), told me how to train my new dog (I didn't ask for training tips, nor were they helpful), was asked a million questions and then told why they were important and in a tone like this was my first time out of the house with my dog. I answered everything he asked without hesitation, and yet, I was treated as if I didn't know anything about my dog or dogs in general. My gsd has allergies and skin issues and both employees told me I needed to watch out for that and how totreat it - my dog was literally there for an itchy skin and allergy treatment! I told them I'm relying on his vet to give me medical advice and they finally shut up and let me leave. Yikes. My vet does grooming cheaper and it doesn't come with a disgusting lecture when I drop off and collect my dog. The grooming was good otherwise but it's not worth the 3 hour wait or the $80 price tag. I brought my dog in for a bath and sanitary touch up. With all the add ins, I ended up paying much more for the wash than i would for an actual grooming appointment. They gave me a time window to pick up the dog, but they called to extend the time. All in all it was 4 hours and $51 to get a bath and the dog looked and smelled like nothing had been done during that time. Would not return. read more

I want to like this Petco. It's the closest Petco to me. But they make it soooo difficult. Their customer service is awful. There were seven of us waiting to check out and one woman at the cash register. There was another Petco guy who was weaving in and out of the line to help people who apparently ordered online but nobody was helping us. Finally, another woman came to cover a second cash register. Yay! Except, the first woman left her register to have a five minute discussion with the online guy about cell phones... WHILE WE ALL WERE STANDING THERE WAITING. Wow! Y'all. I feel like it's been a while since I've had the best customer service experience ! First of all, Megan , the store manager, AMAZING! Walked into the store. I was greeted. Browsed, i was helped. I was looking for large breed puppy food in a small bag. Megan did not leave my side until i found my puppy food bag! I loved it. She guided me into the right food choice. I walked in there with the intention of only buying puppy food and walked out with a shopping cart LOL I'm really happy Megan helped me. As a first time puppy mom, she made it seem fun & exciting! I have never seen such a poor selection of products for fish in a pet shop (I think those mom & pop places are the way to go) not to mention all the dead/sick fish they have there. Also one of the 3 fish that my boyfriend purchased at Petco died, I was just amazed the other 2 did not follow after seeing the conditions the poor fish are kept in. Ok, first I have to say I hate trying to find a new groomer! As all doggy mamas, my baby is .... We'll my baby. I have been with Scrappy (my pooch) to many places and was disappointed various times... I have to say, before I walked into the groomer I was a little worried. The ladies working here were just sweethearts and immediately made feel a little more relaxed leaving my pooch there. Service was absolutely great! He looks so handsome and smells awesome! I believe the employees name who took care of him was kari! I can only recommend her and be sure I will bring him back to her in a few weeks!!! Aside from the store being somewhat small (and narrow). I can only review on the aquatic department and the experiences I've had. I'll first start off by saying that I only went there if I had a coupon. Other chain stores are generally cheaper with supplies and fish. The selection of fish was kind of depressing, especially the goldfish which is what my main tank has. It's nice that they also carry saltwater but I don't think I ever got anything from them as it is too overpriced. One time I went in and their saltwater fish were all dead. Somehow one of their employees mixed up the fresh and salt water systems and all their stock was dead. read more

Called ahead before I came in and asked about their small animals. The woman I talked to on the phone was not only super helpful but very enthusiastic and sincerely loving about the animals they had. I could tell she really cared. When I came into the store I talked to two employees - one at the front counter and one who helped show me the small pets. Both were very friendly and helpful. They really cared and treated me well as a customer. The store is medium sized and was well stocked and tidy. I found some small things to buy (no live pets this time) and the check out process was very fast on a Sunday. I would stop in here again. The only downside was they don't open until 10am where other local Petcos open earlier even on a Sunday. read more

I've had some decent shopping experiences here. The place is well organized and stocked, with a decent clearance rack for cheap toys and treats. The staff is usually nice enough too. However there have been a few times where sales reps for certain pet foods have lingered in the aisles and followed me around, telling me why I shouldn't buy certain foods and kind of annoying me. We took our dog in for photos with Santa recently too, and it was rather unorganized. No one really knew how to work the camera or printer. And we ended up getting blurry, low quality photos (luckily we snuck some pics on our phones). Also, expect to pay a lot more for anything you may buy at Petco. We were going to buy a carrier here for $70, but found the same one on Amazon for $35!!! If you have an Amazon Prime account, there's really no need to step foot in this store. Came here on a Friday afternoon and parking was okay. There was a couple of spots open. But it is worse at night though due to the huge crowds going to in-n-out and Mashawi Grill next door. I was really worried about stepping in some camouflaged pee or seeing poop on the floor but it was actually nice and clean. There was a guy mopping the floor up as I was walking in. I went in looking for dog repellent to keep a neighbor's dog from pooping in front of our house. I didn't know where anything was. So I had to search the store for a worker to help me. Once I did find one, the lady was nice and showed me where it was. Went in line and checked out in a quickness. I didn't stay in there too long. 10 minutes tops but overall it was a good experience. read more
