BOYCOTT THIS STORE! MUCH BETTER PLACES THAT WANT YOUR BUSINESS! Woodland Hills is the absolute worst store & lacks any customer service. After not getting any assistance for missing items I called another store and cancelled my order to buy elsewhere. I placed an online order with Petco and this Woodland Hills store cheated me out of $150 worth of dog food. Only 1 item out of 12 was delivered, yet online said order was delivered complete. I contacted store for the missing items. Manager didn't want to be bothered, gave inaccurate information, claimed her store did everything right yet they gave door-dash only 1 of 12 items to deliver. Mgr refused to offer any assistance to fix the store's mistake & told me to call door-dash myself. She refused to give her name and hung up on me. Called corp 2x and they could not get through to this store, spoke with door-dash and they could not help me bc my order was placed with Petco. Any honest store & mgr would have corrected the mistake and made sure my order was delivered. Not this manager even though she admitted my order was still sitting in her store. I'm always reluctant to come to this Petco location when I have a limited amount of time because they are usually short staffed or just don't have enough people at the registers. This 5 star review is specifically for the service I received today by Dan. Today I came in to pick up several online orders and was assisted by Dan. He is awesome!!!! Because of the size of my orders, he was very careful to ensure everything was correct. I then realized I wanted to purchase more stuff but wanted to do it online for in-store pickup to take advantage of the additional 10% off. I definitely didn't want to wait 2 hours for the order to be filled since I was already at the store. Dan was nice enough to go pull the items from the shelf and wait for my order to go through to their system so that I didn't have to come back later. I so greatly appreciated his professionalism, kindness, and patience. Dan also gave me invaluable information about their vital rewards program. Make sure to ask about it next time you're there. I went to the Petco to pick up an online order and admittedly. I was in a rush and was not able to check the order before I left. As it turns out. There was an item missing from my order, and I called the store later that evening, and was assured that I could return to the store to get the missing item. I came to the store within the next couple of days. I had to wait an additional 10 minutes after the cashier called for a manager multiple times over their overhead system. At this point there were others customers in the store that needed cashier help or needed help locating items within the store, and there were no team members on the floor to support stock checks. The cashier was ringing up a Customer, then went to help me by looking for a manager "in the back" Finally, a manager came out with another team member who came up to me and said " I thought you were going to return the kitty litter." I told her that she had the wrong person and I was here about an online order. The manager then took over. I did not get her name, but she had blonde hair. She then told me that her team scans orders with 100% accuracy, and they were no shortages on the day that my order was picked. I said yes I understand the day I came to pick up. Not only that I pick up my $120 order, but I also spent some additional money in store because I seen some items while I was waiting to pick up my order. Not a big deal. She then told me that she could not take my word for it and that she couldn't just give me free stuff. She then told me if that was the case, people would be coming off the street to get free merchandise from her and that was not gonna be the case today. I then asked her to check cameras because you can see that when I picked up my order, I didn't look at what was in the bag. I told her when my order was placed so that she could even check the picking process because I did not have the item that was missing in my bag plain and simple. She rolled her eyes and agreed to go check cameras, so I waited some additional time. While I was waiting, I started browsing up and down the aisles and I overheard her as I was in the next aisle over-tell another team member that she wasn't about to give me free stuff and that I was running a scam because there was nothing missing from her on hand inventory. I kept my composure as she came up to me and said that she would not be refunding me or giving me the missing item because she couldn't prove that it wasn't given to me. I asked her if she had checked the camera of the team member picking my order, and she said she didn't have to and doubled down that her team has to scan each item to make sure that the orders were accurate. She said this in front of multiple customers, where I felt embarrassed, because I felt that was accused of stealing and told her that this was an unacceptable way to talk to a Customer. I asked for a senior leaders name or a district managers name, and she refused to give me the information and told me that I could go and call Customer service without giving me the number. So I said OK. I'm gonna leave because it seems like you don't wanna help me and you really just wanna accuse me of trying to take this $18 item from your store. As I was walking out, she told me to wait and that she was still going to check other areas but at this point, I've already been at the store 25 minutes and was accused of taking the item. The worst part is after calling Petco customer service. They were able to send me the item that was missing for my order but when I asked to speak to a senior leader, a district manager, I was assured that I would be emailed. They're called within 48 hours and it is now been four days. I will be looking for other places to be able to get items for my dogs. I understand. The Customer is not always right but in this case, this situation could've been handled much differently. read more

I shop at this Petco location very often as I live nearby and have never experienced such a bad experience as I did today. I came in to the store 11/18 at around 8:45pm with an unopened bag of dry food that I had ordered earlier in the day through Instacart (the purchase was also linked to my Petco loyalty account). I explained the situation to the friendly lady, who had also greeted me when I came in, and explained that I needed to exchange the unopened bag for another one of higher price, she then asked me to select and grab the item that I wanted. After a couple minutes, I come back with the bag that I wanted to process the exchange for (which costed over $85). She pulled up my account and before completing the exchange, she needed the manager to override the exchange. This when Andre, the "manager", comes in and without even saying hello, states that he won't do the return because my proof of purchase is not valid "I am literally showing them the order confirmation and details from my phone". I tried to explain the situation and reason with him, knowing that he can do the override and stop arguing, but instead he chose to go off to his employee (in front of me) trying to make her look like she doesn't know what she is doing which really made her feel uncomfortable (I could tell by her face). If this is how Andre, this pseudo manager, treats her employees in front of customers I don't even want to imagine how he treats them when nobody is looking... Awful customer service, manners and work ethics. I hope this person is investigated and made accountable for his behavior. I will definitely not be bringing my business to this or any Petco locations anymore. read more

If I could give this negative stars I would. The entire shelf lined with stainless steel kitty litter boxes with a price marked at either 6.99 or 12.99. Went to the register price is 50 asked to speak to manager as the price that is marked should be honored and gave me a no then offered 20 percent, the whole shelf is marked at those prices and again should be honored. Grooming department had really poor customer service skills. I came to my appointment a few minutes late and the hispanic girl gave me a look from the minute i walked in. My appointment was at 1:30 pm. I arrived at 1:43 as that is when the GPS ended when I parked the car. She looked at me up and down and was hesitant to provide service and the first thing she mentioned was the time. She then proceeded to ask me what service I'm in for. Interesting, you think since she knew what time my appointment was and what my dog was that she would know what i was requesting too. I mentioned that I'm looking for a bath and a cut. She then proceeded to tell me that they don't trim hair on a POMERANIAN/POMSKY mix even though theres no such thing. My dog is 3 years old and he's been getting trims every 3 months. Easiest way to do this would be a pros and cons Pros - Usually has the pet food I need for my Dachshund in stock - The new vital rewards is actually awesome. Definitely suggested for people that go here monthly or more. - The groomers do a great job. Milo was fresh and clean. At the same time , there's always deals. Cons - Grooming appointments are so booked up most of the time. I feel they should definitely either hire more groomers or expand that part. - Pricing is quite high for stuff that should be less than $2 Overall, this Petco is definitely recommended for products and grooming. read more

Needed some dog treats and chews and found a Huge selection here. Just about every flavor and shape. The Blue Buffalo bits are a must-have. She loves those. Also threw in some True Chew options and Whole Hearted for good measure. Spent a pretty penny or two but she's going to be loving her treat options and will definitely be a good girl knowing those are in play for her best behavior. Only one checkout employee on the way out and no self checkout so that took a while. Downside to stores instead of e-commerce. Rarely, would I ever write a review for a chain store. However, this particular location has convinced me not to shop with Petco ever again. My husband attempted to return unopened dog food this morning as it possibly infected our dog with giardia (just wanted to return as a precaution). He brought the receipt and the cans, however, the clerk could not locate our order. The manager, Sarah/Sara, was called over to assist. She seemingly did not understand how to use the computer and the clerk had to assist. She also could not locate our order and when she entered in our phone number she couldn't locate our Petco account. We were at Petco just a few days earlier and our phone number worked just fine. In addition, I verified on our online account that the phone number was correct and linked to our account. Sarah/Sara was unwilling to assist or accommodate. No further recommendations were made and we were told that they could not accept our return. She was also unfriendly and interrupted us while speaking. She then walked away and left my husband with the clerk. In the end, we were able to get a refund via the online chat. That being said, we have decided to switch to a different retailer. Sara/Sarah is in dire need of additional training on customer service and how to look up orders/accounts. read more

This review is specifically for the training center. Have had good experiences in the rest of the store. (Ive only ever written one other negative Yelp review in my entire life, but this was so frustrating and I feel like other potential customers should be aware). We have an 8 week old puppy and signed him up for six weeks of training classes. I switched a shift at work to be able to attend the first week, and getting a puppy to eat, go potty, and be ready for class isn't easy. So imagine how angry I was when we show up to the class and there's no one there. They told me that the trainer called out, but that they'd called all the appointments to let them know (except for me apparently!) They took my info down and said the trainer would call me today, but no one ever called. I go to this location pretty often and they're always very helpful, even today when they seemed pretty short staffed. Brianna was particularly great today when I was checking out. A woman was giving them a hard time for the price of a bag of Royal Canin food, but Brianna kept their cool and answered all her questions very politely. Even as the woman was leaving and saying she'd find the food cheaper at another Petco (?), they de-escalated the situation all while handling other customers checking out. Sometimes there are boxes left in the middle of aisles as employees are restocking, but I don't think it's a huge deal. They almost always have what I'm looking for and the store seems well managed. :) read more

I adopted my dogs from Eastwood Ranch with a referral from Beth Stern. They are a mom and puppy and are extremely bonded. I typically have them groomed by Barkbus (amazing!) and when I was in Washington State, it took me awhile until I found wonderful groomers at the PETCO in Olympia. Excited, I decided to take them to the Woodland Hills location. the first groom went perfectly! I always give very large tips to groomers who take care of my pups! when i called back and requested VIP, my previous groomer excitedly said, I can do it. normally we take VIP in the morning but I can take them in the afternoon I'll take care of them." When I came to pick them up, she said "we can't help you anymore." I tried to figure out the issue, she said they were anxious, so I suggested we bring them separately the next time. She agreed. Before I had the chance to do so, I had to go back to Washington since my sisters house was affected in the Eaton fire. So I happily left a voicemail to schedule an appointment in Olympia when needed. I was told the Woodland Hills groomer blackballed my dogs at all Petcos nationwide. I fixed it, of course, have an appointment with the wonderful head of the PETCO salon in Olympia and assumed that woman in the WH store was having a bad day..or something. PETCO VACCINATION CLINIC Arrived with 2 cats to find out the prices are different (higher) than quoted on their website. So high I couldn't afford them. In addition, I had spent my time filling out their online forms, yet they had no access to them in the store. A waste of my time. The staff could have cared less. When I told them I would have to leave they said "okay". I left and drove to another vaccination clinic with prices exactly as quoted on their website and got my 2 cats taken care of. read more
