I eat gluten free and it was awesome to see so many clearly marked gf options. Our waitress gave us a sample of the YOLO margarita when we sat down (coconut margarita), very tasty! We got one to share along with the margarita flight and habanero margarita. Smooth tequila! Shared the harvest #4 gluten free as an appetizer. Impressed by the flavorful queso, salsa, and guacamole. I got the verde chicken enchiladas, which were clearly fresh and delicious. Husband got the 512 crispy pork enchiladas and loved them. We were too full to indulge in dessert but know we'll be back again! I could tell this food was high quality and clearly gluten free as sometimes when I eat out I still get stomach pains but here I felt great, even with being stuffed to the max. Saw a Reddit post about this restaurant, so we decided to try it since it's close to our home. I was craving a chicken fried steak. Their menu offers a Ribeye fried steak with gravy. Thinking this was actually going to be a ribeye steak, that's what I ordered. The breading was good, not overly heavy, the gravy was tasty, although very peppery... so far so good right? If this was a ribeye, this was the thinnest, most gristley ribeye in the history of the world. I had to spit out almost half of it because it was full of tough, fatty chunks of gristle!! Very disappointed in this and would never order it again from here! The mashed potatoes were mashed potatoes, but still on par. The steamed vegetables were boring, and plain, but still edible. On the other hand, my dining partner's pork chop was impressive and he ate every bite. He said he would be back again for the pork chop! He liked the demi-glaze, as well as the well seasoned mushrooms on top. The people we encountered were very nice and friendly. While we enjoyed our early dinner a few days ago, I noticed that the prices have gone up and the quality of the entrées seems to have declined. There was even less crab than previously in the "crab-stuffed chicken" and less seafood in the seafood enchiladas. Chips and salsa were not served until we ordered our #4... so maybe the days of free chips and salsa are over, too. While the service was very good, this is not the BCH we have previously enjoyed. Came for a midweek lunch and I ordered the Jamaican jerk salad. It had a ginger dressing which complimented the flavor of the chicken nicely. I've been going here for years and haven't had a single bad experience. You cannot beat a 3-7 M-F happy hour menu with $6 appetizers and drinks. I think about their pork taquitos and pork enchiladas weekly. This is my second favorite restaurant in Round Rock. I've had chicken nachos, their queso, guacamole, shrimp tacos, salmon, stuffed chicken, pork chop, green chili pork, burritos, and I know I'm forgetting some others. The portions are not small. Each time it's been consistent as well as the service. There was one night where they were absolutely slammed a month ago and the host stand and manager were all helping out. A few wires got crossed, but it's understandable and we have no problems with this. I can wait 5 extra minutes for good food. The food is always hot and fresh and seriously SO good. I just saw my initial review from over a year ago saying "Tex Mex". While they have a few Tex Mex sounding dishes like burritos, enchiladas, and tacos, the majority of the dishes are comfort food raised to a gourmet level. Today, I had the smothered pork chop, topped in a mushroom/whiskey sauce. It was SOOO good! I also had the peanut butter pie, which was equally good. It was big enough to share, but I ate the whole thing! Went for dinner tonight. The place is new and cool just like all other locations. Service was very quick and maybe a little too quick. My wife ordered Chicken enchiladas and she thought they were just ok. She thought they were also not very warm even though they came out quickly. I ordered the CFS and it look delicious when it was delivered and tasted good but have had much better. The breading quickly fell of the steak and the steak was very well done. Not sure how new this location is but it's kind of hard to find as it's tucked away in a shopping center off the main road. A lot of businesses are for lease in the shopping center and I'm looking forward to seeing what else they are nearby. Quick service, friendly staff. We came for brunch and everything was delicious and hot. The chicken and waffles wasn't exactly what I was expecting since it was chicken fried chicken but still great. The chorizo breakfast relleno was amazing and I had never seen it on the menu before (I've only been to the cedar park location) and I'll definitely be getting it again. I also had never seen a popsicle mimosa but I had to try it (got it with mango purée) and it was delicious. I went to this restaurant for the first time today. Upon entering the restaurant, the restaurant is clean and inviting. They have tables and booths and they also have a bar. I also saw a bigger room for parties. We were seated promptly. This restaurant does not give you complementary chips and salsa. They do, however, give you complementary muffins. Their menu is not too big, however it is unique. They have Mexican food, they have meatloaf, they have sandwiches. Their prices are medium, not too much not too little. I ordered a chicken breast sandwich. It was very good. They have gluten-free buns, which is a plus. I also had steak fries. My food was good and it was fresh. My husband got build-yourself shrimp tacos. The presentation of the food was exceptional. The shrimp was served in a tasty sauce along with sliced bell peppers and onions inside of a small cast-iron skillet. The tortillas were fresh. The rice and beans were good. The service was fine. Our server was a little bit slow, and there was only a few people in the restaurant. I had to ask her for the complementary muffins, she did not bring them automatically. But she was polite, and she brought my food accurately , which is very important to me because I always customize everything to be compliant to my restricted diet. I've heard so many rave reviews about Blue Corn Harvest Bar and Grill. They opened up a location in Round Rock so I was excited to try it. We started with the guacamole and chips. It came out with a salsa. OMG! That fire roasted salsa was so good. Spicy? Check. Flavor? Check. Guacamole was fresh and good. Chips were crispy. Complimentary cornbread was warm and soft. On the weekends, they offer a brunch menu from 10am-2pm. You may also order non-brunch items on the back of the menu. I asked our server what was popular that wasn't on the brunch menu. He recommended the CH street tacos, crab stuffed chicken or the chipotle ribeye. I went with the CH street tacos and black beans. Everything was good. Meat was tender, black beans were full of flavor and salsa verde was ok. I used the salsa from the guacamole and chips. Sorry, but the fire roasted salsa was really good! I'm obsessed with it so I used that for my tacos instead. My little one approved of the cheeseburger and fries. She had a happy plate. Kid's meals come with ice cream so that was definitely something she was looking forward to. I will be back for that salsa. Yum! I even told our server that the salsa was FIYA. read more
