Date night, Friday night for Seafood and RnB karaoke. We love seafood, we love RnB and we love Karaoke!!! This spot has Karaoke every Friday 6p to 10p. So here we are, Party of 2 arrived at 7:30pm. The restaurant was busy, we put our name on the list and was told it would be a 45 minute wait. We decided to sit at the bar and we were greeted immediately. The bartender is so nice and just always does such a great job. I've been here a few times and she's always been there with a smile, no matter how busy it is. We ordered drinks and a couple appetizers, the coconut shrimp and the buffalo shrimp. Nothing special, just fried shrimp. I also ordered the side of the hush puppies, I always get hush puppies if they're on the menu. They were good,small but good. He ordered the seafood soup, it's a large portion, red broth with lots of seafood and veggies. He liked it! I ordered the Salmon dish. Came with rice and steamed veggies. I couldn't eat it all because the salmon was way too well done and dry. :( Overall, fun and friendly environment!!! First time here and really like the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant. For lunch is not such a packed place, so it was good to have time to enjoy the food. I told my group to come back here for happy hour sometime. They have a nice menu just for happy hour and I'm sure more people come at around those times. I wanted to try the boil menu, but it was a quick lunch and we just didn't have the time. I had the grilled shrimp plate with the veggies and rice. My coworker had the spicy shrimp plate and I love the pickled onion in his dish. Again, there were so many items to try in a group and more time to enjoy the flavors. Located in Round Rock right off of I-35 in the Walmart shopping center was an establishment that said Cajun Crabs and Shrimp! I haven't had seafood in a while and although I didn't have much of an appetite I wanted to try the gumbo. Upon entering you could just smell the flavorful spices in the atmosphere! It was like the aroma grabbed and hugged my nostrils like a long lost cousin at a family reunion that I haven't seen in ages. I first ordered a starter which was 8 Diablo shrimps wrapped in bacon and came with ranch dressing. They were absolutely delicious! For a drink I ordered the New Orleans Hurricane which was pretty good it had a decent amount of alcohol mixture. The cherry in the drink gave it a little razzle dazzle appeal My main dish was the gumbo bowl that I believe came with sausage and shrimp. The gumbo was just Ok it was not very brag worthy. A bit more watered than I would have liked but it was still decent. The sausage had more of a hotdog taste to me. But did I eat it all? Yes! I would come back. Overall we've been coming here for awhile but this time was the first time we were really impressed with the service we were receiving. Marcos was amazing, answering any questions we had and was able to offer suggestions on how to order it based on what exactly I wanted. All servers walking around check on you regardless if they are you waiter or not and everyone is super friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to other. We have been loyal customers of Cajun Crab #2 for quite some time and have always enjoyed the delicious food and great service. Unfortunately, our most recent experience was disappointing. After recently adopting a dog, we specifically looked for pet-friendly restaurants and saw that this establishment was listed as dog friendly. We arrived as a walk-in needing a table for three with our dog, but were asked for a dog certificate and then told our dog was "too big" for the establishment. We completely understand businesses having policies in place, but it was frustrating and embarrassing after seeing the restaurant advertised as pet friendly. Because of this, we decided to dine elsewhere at a restaurant that genuinely welcomed dogs of all sizes. It's unfortunate because we truly enjoyed coming here in the past and hope they clarify their pet policy moving forward to avoid confusion for other customers. read more

It is never a dull moment when I visit here especially on Thursday for karaoke nights. The customer service is always phenomenal and the food is excellent. The snow crabs are half off per pound and they are so favorable. Anytime I want a seafood fix I come here. The restaurant is clean and I enjoy the unique decor as well. They have a fake alligator towards the bathroom (which is clean). The DJ is funny and doesn't mind getting the night started by jumping on the mic himself. Oof, don't know where to start... We ordered via Uber eats a couple of days ago. I had the Jambalaya combo with chicken ,sausage, csheimp, peppers, onions. First, the onions and peppers were cut in enormous chunks. Like, you have to really chew them. The shrimp were boiled way too long, had the consistency and taste of cardboard. The sausage was hit or miss, but not really super tasty either. The chicken had alright flavor. All this was tossed on top of a spicy rice mix. Not very appetizing and lacked flavor. I had anticipated all the ingredients to be tossed in and mixed up, with all meats and veggies and rice in a holy mix like one expects. We are visiting from Arkansas and we we wanting some crab legs! Melanie was our waitress. She was helpful and severed us promptly. They had 5 different options of low to fire heat for flavor! As a creole woman in Austin, it's hard to find authentic Cajun creole food. After reading the reviews for this place I thought I'd give it a try. The reviews are extremely deceitful! I asked the waitress if possible could I taste a small crawfish to ensure it was to my liking before I committed to buying a pound. She said no and that's not a problem it's just some restaurants let you when you're particular about your crawfish. Needless to say I was very disappointed but at the same time I expected it. Absolutely no seasoning! They literally boil the crawfish and put it in a bag with loads of butter, garlic and maybe a splash of salt, shake it up & boom that's your crawfish. SMH AUSTIN THIS IS MOT HOW YOU DO IT! If you're gonna appropriate the culture you should get the food right. Yummy!!!! I ordered a grilled shrimp po'boy with fries for about $15. They were very accommodating with the changes I made (light Mayo and light blackened seasoning). There were plenty of shrimp that were cooked perfectly. Next time I would order it without the red onions (which were very strong). I ate the fries (which had a nice seasoning) with the tartar sauce. According to the bartender, this restaurant has been open for about four months. They have a good selection of offerings for dinners, both family style and individual plates/baskets. Some of the combinations with crab shrimp sausage are listed on the menu but they do not provide a current price, only notation is MKT. my next visit I will try some of the crab and shrimp boil, but I was not disappointed with my combo basket I devoured. The basket was full of catfish fillets, fried shrimp, french fries and hush puppies, very tasty and not too bready. I was hopeful with the name of Cajun I might be able to get a Cajun cocktail, but unfortunately they do not stock any bitters in their bar - so was unable to get a Sazerac... But I am finding that harder to find lately. The bartender did not even know that cocktail recipe. The bar seem to focus more on Tex Mex offerings, tequila, margaritas, Mexican beer. Service was friendly and efficient. Overall, price was a little high for the quantity of food received, but not too terrible that would prevent me from coming back. Frozen Rita's good-a taste in there I can't identify Catfish filet was great-clean flakey great wonderful stuff. We had #4 bag- 1/2 lb shrimps, crab legs, sausage, corn and potatoes. In a dark brown roux and it all tasted great. We chose "Louisiana hot" but it was not too spicy at all King cake for dessert-no baby !! However, it tasted great. Manager stopped and talked to us. Decided to try this seafood place out. The decor is very nice. The theme for seafood runs through the whole building. I love they placed white sheets of paper on the tables. We were pleasantly surprised that the interior was large and nicely decorated. Fun vibe. A little loud at times. Service was nice. My grilled fish meal was delicious. Four shrimp, 2 catfish fillets, rice, salad, corn on the cob and garlic bread. I chose the blackened option however I'd say it was not as charred as I would like, but it was still tasty. My favorite part was the shrimp and my least favorite was the rice. Hubby's fried catfish and fries were also good. We'll have to try the wings next time. A heap helping of seafood that was brought right to our door courtesy of Grubhub. We were celebrating so I ordered a pound of shrimp, a pound and a half of Crab and a pound and a half of crawfish... all of it Cajun style. When we opened everything up and sorted it all out there was almost a thick paste covering all of the seafood. It was a messy thick Cajun paste... drowning everything! The flavor was good but just way too much goo. The bacon wrapped shrimp were way too cooked! They were like dried up tirds and completely uneatable. We took the seafood and lightly rinsed it off. Then it was perfect! Sooo flipping good! Ohhh my Goddie toooo hottie good!! We promptly proceeded to eat it all! My 2 kids, my wife and I ate it all! Accept the dried tirds... It was a great treat overall! I would recommend this location as long as you are willing to wade through the goo. It was cooked well, flavored well, and delivered well. Very disappointing food selection, but it is the best of what is around. I tried the crawfish boil, catfish poboy, crab cakes, and dirty rice. The crawfish was my favorite out of everything. I wish they would shake the bag when making it, because all of the flavor was at the bottom. First few bites were plain. The poboy was ok, but the fries served with it was burned. The dirty rice was salty and seemed to have soy sauce in it? The crab cakes were the most disappointing as it was made with soggy bread crumbs. I come from a cajun/creole background so I have high standards for what the food should taste like. I'm not mad at the restaurant, but the food has a very basic flavor profile.
