Early afternoon eating at the bar was great with Layla the fantastic bar tender. I ordered water on the rocks with lemon. Decided to try their limited edition sliced thin ribeye steak bbq sandwich with slaw, pico and pineapple and fries. It was light on the slaw so I mentioned that to Layla and she went to the kitchen to request a little extra. Now that made it perfect. Great ambiance but better service which deserved a great tip.

Food is overly salty. Drink was not up to par. I came first time and I was not impressed with food at all, unless someone likes salty food. Gumbo was a joke. I will use less aggressive description, so it was something I was hoping would taste good and hot and appealing, but was completely opposite. They forgot to put it in microwave for a minute. Burger looked pathetic. Bloody Mary was less classic, I think it was way more spicy and bitter. Strawberry pecan salad was pretty good, except dressing amount they put on. Service was nice and pleasant, ambiance is good and to me it looked very clean inside. I would not go back, and I would not say not to come but would not recommend neither.

Once again, a great experience! Shout out to Mickey for outstanding service. The Gouda Burger was a definite hit. Only miss was the Jalapeño bun wasn't available. Other than that, an excellent choice. Music was jammin' and the place was very clean. Love visiting this location, and will be back again.

A very fun, relaxing place. Can watch all types of sports from the many TVs throughout the restaurant. Ample seating as well. You have 2 person booths to 4 person booths to 4 toppers and a large bar area for many to enjoy. You walk in and there are several coolers with a large variety of beverages that cannot be served thru the fountain. We counted 4 super large Yeti coolers! Onto the area to place your order. Very simple. Menus are a very large font so don't have to strain your eyes. Always have a special going on as well. We started with the basic chips and queso that also comes with salsa. The salsa was a nice smoky mild flavor. The queso was good but a tad on the cool side. Would like for it to have been warmer. Service was super friendly with our food coming out to the table. Server was always checking on us and refilling our drinks when necessary. Then fish tacos and steak fingers with jalapeño white gravy. Both were very tasty and plenty of food as well. We truly had no room for dessert. They also have a "club" where you can earn points and redeem for rewards. They add up pretty quickly. We will be back!

If you're coming here for the first time, the ordering system is not quite the norm. You basically order at the counter, they hand you a receipt and then your server will take it from there. You can grab an ice cold beverage as you walk in or order a frozen margarita at the counter. The interior has that icehouse, honky-tonk feel to it with numerous flatscreens in every direction. At the center is a very large bar with tons of seating where you can order beers on tap or mixed drinks. Plenty of seating inside or you can choose to sit at their enclosed outdoor patio. The quality of the food pictured below was of good quality and good value. Just enough quality ingredients and low salt to have us coming back. Despite the upfront ordering system, the table service was very attentive. For the money, the food was well worth it and you should add this place to your burger appreciation list. When it's time to settle up, they'll just present you with the bill which gives you time to decide on the tip. They do have a good working formula here that keeps folks coming back, good quality food, good service, great value. 41/2*. Informative photos included.

Came here for a quick drink recommendation. The "Big Willy". It was a flavorful and very cold! It wasn't overly sugary either. The service was great. The atmosphere was a bar type seating but they also had booths as well.

Willie's never disappoints! Enjoying one of my favorite restaurants yet again, and as always, the food was absolutely wonderful. Our waiter was great -- friendly and attentive. The vibe here is always welcoming, and the service is top-notch. I always enjoy Willie's and will definitely keep coming back!

John passed away in early 2024, while his family took over the shop in Pflugerville. Now just about a decade after opening shop, Brotherton's is closing down at the end of August. Following John's passing, they've hit a few road bumps from the rising cost of beef that's been plaguing Texas BBQ. Earlier in January they posted on social media how they were struggling, and again last spring. At the start of August, the Brotherton's family announced Brotherton's Black Iron BBQ in Pflugerville was shuttering for good at the end of August. Knowing this would be the last time I would be able to try it, my buddy and I took an extended lunch break on a Friday to give it a shot. Upon arrival at just around 11:50, we noticed that the parking lot was packed with multiple food trucks and other businesses filling the shopping center. We got lucky with a parking spot far away as we marched inside to wait in line. On the door lay plenty of stickers from different BBQ joints from Texas and beyond, with even some coming from overseas. The line moved slowly but surely, and as we got to the front we got our three-meat plate with a bonus slice of turkey for good measure. We ended up getting to Brotherton's at the perfect time because we got the final slices of brisket on that glorious Friday. I'll share my thoughts on everything we tried: Brisket: Though it looked like a great cut that was nicely seasoned, it was pretty fine overall. Nothing remarkable about their brisket while still very fatty. Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage: Juicy, cheesy, not really too spicy on the jalapeño side of things, but that might just be from the mildness of jalapeños these days. Pork Ribs: These suckers looked incredible from the pictures I saw online and on social media, but they were kinda disappointing based on how incredible they looked visually. They were good, just not as epic as I was hoping. Turkey: Turkey is underrated in the BBQ scene, and this is no exception. A nice cut of meat! Cornbread Casserole: I could've eaten the whole thing myself, so it was a shame that we were sharing. Green Chili Mac and Cheese: I'll repeat myself. I could've eaten the whole thing myself, so it was a shame that we were sharing. As a whole, I'm very glad I gave them a shot before I would never be able to again. That's the hardest part about Texas barbecue. The best places and the historic spots can drop in a moment's notice when hardships hit or the meat prices skyrocket. Sadly, I can tell that they're already at the end of their rope with certain menu options like the loaded nachos and baked potatoes, which always seem like the sign of the end. And with how the food was simply just decent overall, it's hard to justify the rising prices. I see reviews all over saying their quality has fallen off year after year following JMFB's passing, and it makes sense: he was the heart and the soul of the business. When that vaporizes overnight, it's only a matter of time. I don't wish for the downfall of any spot, but I understand that it's bound to happen to certain ones. RIYL: Paying respects to one of the greats in Texas BBQ

When we found out, we rushed over for a Father's day meal. The atmosphere was pretty cool, interesting pictures on the walls, someone put a lot of effort, time and thought into the decorating of this establishment. All men running the joint, we told the guy who took our order(who was very nice), it was our first time here. They have been in business for 16 years(not at this location)! So lets get down to the food. My Husband ordered the two dog combo, one a Chicago dog, another a sauerkraut dog, it came with fries. He sad the dogs were amazing, they hit all the marks. The fries were ok, a little room temp(but to be fare we came there 30 minutes before closing). The soda's were really great, not two sirupy, not too carbonated, we enjoyed them. I ordered a pizza with Italian sausage added. They gave us our drinks for free, which was awesome. I didn't know what to expect with the pizza, but I was blown away by it. They should be very proud of the recipe they created. Most places over season/spice their sauces. The flavor of the tomato gets drowned out. This was absolutely not the case the sauce did not sow out the crust whatsoever it held its crisp the whole time. The sausage was wonderful. The cheese was everything you wanted on a pizza. I can say it's the best than crust pizza I think I've ever had. My husband tried it and we fought over who was going to be eating it for lunch tomorrow. It was huge. I wasn't expecting it to be that big. I will be dreaming about that pizza, and craving it. This is my go to place to get good pizza. It blows Nikki's out of the water. If you are craving some good then crust, pizza, or hotdog I suggest you go there. They also have chili fries, cheesesteaks, so much. They have one of those menus, where everything looks good, and it's hard to decide. Just try it. Warning, this pizza is 14 in(seemed bigger), and it being thin crust, and tasting so good, you might find yourself eating the whole thing. Wish we had pics to post, but we did not think of doing it, will do next time(which will probably be later this week, it was that good).

They offer two sizes, and we ordered the smaller regular Americana Cheesesteak, the Cartel, a shared order of fries, and two fountain drinks. Our total came to about $35, which felt like a good value for the amount of food. Service was friendly and they served our food to the table very fast. The fries were your typical frozen fries and came unseasoned, but that wasn't a big deal. We added our own seasoning. One thing to note is that they only serve Pepsi products. That's a big bummer for me because I'm a Dr Pepper girl, but it isn't a complete dealbreaker because they also offer tea. Now let's talk about my sandwich. It was loaded with so much meat that I couldn't even fit it in my mouth! I ended up taking some of the meat out and adding it to the fries, which turned out yummy. The steak was well seasoned, and the lettuce, tomato, and mayo ratio tasted perfect. If you're looking for a hearty cheesesteak that will definitely fill you up, Wise Guys is worth checking out. I'll definitely be back!

Chicken quesadilla was great. Seasoned waffle fries with gringo dip was also very good. Not so good: Management. I ordered a double Jack and Coke in a short glass. I deliberately mentioned the short glass to the waitress, in spite of the fact that a typical double whiskey and Coke drink comes in a short glass. Unfortunately she didn't catch the ask for short glass (she said she'd never had someone yet ask for that order, but I think she meant at this restaurant). Someone delivered a tall glass instead. I asked our waitress to give me a short glass and she tried to do so. When she came back she said the manager wouldn't let her, which was weird, so I asked to see the manager. Josh. Josh did not handle the interaction well in my opinion. In his opinion it was the same alcohol in a short or tall, so he thought I should just drink the tall. That's obviously not a great experience. Ultimately after a (too) long discussion he didn't charge for the drink. But the experience was ruined for us and since this was our first visit to this location it was simply a bummer and we likely won't be back.
