Peter Snyder, his associates and staff are an extraordinary team. Peter, allowing the informal reference, is consistently gentle, friendly, professional and accessible (probably part of what makes his office such a good family practice). In the time I've been a client/patient, and on good recommendation before that, I've come to believe myself lucky under his care. That includes during the challenges of covid and through fillings, root canal, teeth cleanings, and crowns. The entire back office side of the team are thorough, considerate, sensitive and utterly dependable. The front office part of the team is no less so: warm and genuine, on top of demands and willing to bend over backwards in a pinch. The dentist and all of the assistants/hygienists I interacted with were caring, not pushy, very informative and kind. I went in for a cleaning before my insurance expired. I explained my situation and nothing was pushed in me - they had to do routine X-rays and checked my insurance first to make sure it was covered. Peter Snyder also gave me several options, unlike gentle dental which just told me I had to replace unsightly fillings. He even have me options other than surgery for handling my wisdom teeth. They weren't pushy at all. Peter Snyder describes himself as "old school" because he is non-invasive - if he doesn't have to do something he won't - for the sake of your health and safety as well as the pocket book. After moving to Eugene, I was really nervous to roll the dice on a new dentist. I'm relieved to say I really like this practice. To start, Dr Snyder's philosophy is in his words "conservative". He offers whitening, straightening, and everything else cosmetic you could want, but his general approach is that if it isn't about health, he won't try to sell it to you, which I really appreciate. He's big on preventative maintenance and adjusting your regularly scheduled visits to meet your needs as a patient. If your teeth and home care don't require it, he will say that you don't need to come in as often as every six months. If you need to come in more often, he'll say that too. He is very straight to the point and honest. I had some wear on my front teeth and he shot it to me straight: the best practice is to get braces to re-align them (and add reinforcing paste), or he can just put some paste on them every five years which will chip if not replaced, but basically does the same job. He said he didn't expect the wear to cause any health problems so long as I came in for regular check-ups. Well, you can probably guess which option I picked! The hygienist I got for my cleaning did an excellent job cleaning my teeth. It was painful at times, as one might expect, especially since I hadn't seen a dentist in around 5 years. Some areas are sensitive, but you gotta do what you gotta do. After much scraping and trying to think about literally anything other than somebody sticking sharp metal things into my mouth, my teeth feel cleaner than ever! For those with dental phobia or anxiety, this office does not offer gas for routine treatments. read more

I've thought long and hard about what to say about Dr. Snyder and his wonderful staff that would do justice to their kindness, gentleness and sheer skill. I was terrified of dentists until I met Dr. Snyder. My wife and I consider Dr. Snyder and his staff to be like family now. We honestly feel that Dr. Snyder (he prefers "Pete") is the Michelangelo of his craft. He carefully explains exactly what he'll be doing and how long it will take, and constantly keeps you appraised of his progress, always aware of your comfort. In all the years we've been patients, not ONCE has.either of us experienced the slightest pain. One reason is because Pete insists they practice giving injections to each other - including HIM. Have you ever even heard of any other dentist doing that? It's the truth. If nothing else - even if they weren't the nicest, most caring people we know - the sheer level of skill and competence would be reason enough for us to consider Dr. Snyder the finest Dentist on the planet. read more

This is a nice clean dental office with friendly staff. I had a Dental Hygienist that was a bit too rough, but I understand she is no longer there. I finally decided to choose another dentist because they are so pushy about upselling different services. Everyone from the receptionist to the dentist & everyone in between were constantly pushing the same services/products. Especially teeth whitening. My wife & I just felt they were being too pushy about it & decided it isn't the dentist for us. read more

I have had two appointments with Dr. Snyder, one a consultation, the other an urgent care appointment. I've been highly impressed with the intelligence, care, and respect from Dr. Snyder and his staff. I especially like - and this may not be for everyone - the explanation and willingness to delve into detail about procedures. The doctor is an excellent communicator as well as highly competent. I should also add that his assistants work seamlessly with the doctor and are competent as well as compassionate in their approach to their work and dealing with patients. They helped to save my life. I love all the people at this fine office. The young lady who cleaned my teeth mentioned that my lymph gland seemed enlarged. I had a CT done by my MD doctor and found out I had lymphoma. I had no symptoms. I caught it early had chemo & am in remission. Dr. Snyder is a true artist when it comes to dentistry and my wife and I are truly lucky to have him for our dentist. They all go beyond the call of duty here. Top notch can't say enough.
