I went a far too long of a period without seeing a dentist before making my first appointment here, and they took great care of me. (The teeth cleaning wasn't that much fun, a lot of that scratching sound from getting the plaque off, not my favorite sound in the world, but that's what I get for not going to a dentist for so long and I'm so so so glad they had the patience to deal with it all. :-D) read more

Have you ever loved an office for the receptionists? Because I will and I do here. Don't get me wrong, we've gotten great care in this office for years. I have a lot of damage to my teeth from a rough and tumble life, and harbor an innate fear of losing all my teeth, and dental work in general. They are so kind to me. The hygienists are friendly, the bright energy is the perfect distraction from what can be a really uncomfortable situation, and every procedure I've had done has zero problems after the fact. I use state medical and they treat my whole little family like people, not cattle as some offices do, with the equal care and attention they'd give anyone across the board. My boys are handled with enthusiasm and come out laughing. Getting them positive experiences with the dentist is really important. When they've needed more extensive care than this office provides, they work hard to make sure we're connected with the right services based on their experience. When we did have a problem with a different office the one time it happened, they were emphatically upset on our behalf and helped us remedy the problem, taking serious note of our experience for their own future dealings. That says a lot. Professional, clean, fast (so important) and patient with Ridesource clients, I can't say I love going, because it's the dentist, but I don't think I'll be changing as long as I'm in the area. read more

I filled out an "anonymous" comment form with some mild feedback and the front office staff went through their records and talked to everyone in the office to figure out who it was written by. They then outed me to the dentist and confronted me in the public waiting room. Very hurtful and unprofessional! All I had suggested was that their new-ish dentist introduce herself to patients before giving advice, since we don't come in very often and her name isn't anywhere in the waiting room. read more

If you care about COVID safety, do not visit this dentist while the pandemic is still ongoing. You will come within 6 feet of maskless employees, including office staff and the dentist themselves. When my cleaning was done, I was told that I didn't need an exam; I interpreted this as retaliation for expressing concerns about the maskless doctor and staff. read more

A really good experience. Dr Miller was very helpful and insightful about an implant I need to have done. He answered all my questions and gave me less expensive options than I knew were available. Like most people I'm not a fan of going to the dentist but between the Doctor and his staff I'm actually looking forward to working with them to get my implant in. I have had a lot of dental work done, I know a good dentist from a bad one, and Dr. Lohring is a good one. As for the bad reviews up here, disregard them, go meet the guy and make your own judgments. Every experience I have had here has been good. The staff is friendly, approachable and kind. Dr. Lohring has always been friendly, informative and does great work in a reasonable amount of time. He is quite sensitive to personal experiences, and was careful to make sure I was not anxious or upset. He took great care in making sure my teeth had a good bite after having fillings replaced, he took great care in asking me how I was doing during the entire procedure, and had great communication with his assistants. Thank you everyone in office, and thank you doctor for making my dental experience one I can feel good about. I would recommend him to everyone. read more

I cannot praise this place highly enough... not least by way of comparison to two other places in town: - A certain other Eugene location - initials G.D. - looked at me for a tooth that was half gone (many years of neglect & Mountain Dew, to be perfectly honest). First was the lecture, second was the announcement that they wouldn't remove/repair the tooth until I had had a full cleaning. Which had nothing to do with the urgency of the tooth... but here's the best part: it was a three-month wait just to get the cleaning! And then *another* three-month wait to actually address the tooth. Yes, really. A fine example of efficiency & "caring" if I've ever seen it. Might as well just bust out the pliers, right? - Another Eugene location - initials O.D.G. - told me that I was "on the brink of losing all my teeth"... six years ago. Which seemed understandable at the time: I was doing what I could to preserve my teeth by then, but it did seem too little, too late. (They also told me that they "don't do fillings anymore, only crowns", and one might guess what a spectacular bill one might expect as a result) BUT... fast forward to 2015, to Dr Miller's office, where I was told right off the bat that I wouldn't be losing much of *any* of my teeth... half a decade after that prior doomsday pronouncement! And sure enough, only 3 (not 20 or 30) ended up being extracted. The rest were fixed up over the course of several visits, especially that first half-gone tooth previously mentioned. Almost as good as new, and not even with a crown! Dr Miller goes *very* far above & beyond in his work, and his staff does too. No long waits, no overt feeling like you're just irritating grist for an expensive (and frequently painful) mill... just people who are competent and seem to actually enjoy their work. How rare is that? As long as this guy stays un-retired, I'll be recommending him to anyone & everyone. It's just too bad I couldn't have done this a decade or two ago! read more

I have been very pleased with this office. I have never met Dr. Miller, but Dr. Bikki is there now and she is wonderful, kind, personable, and explains procedures clearly and matter-of-factly. She and the staff there made an effort to create space for my daughter today at the last-minute, and on a very busy Thursday squeezed her in and even did a procedure to ease her gum pain! They are friendly, professional, and accommodating. THANK you for squeezing us in and for meeting us at a human level. I would recommend Dr. Bikki and this team without hesitation. read more

Yowza!! These people are fantastic!! Especially if you have a fear or anxiety surrounding the dentist. From the second you call or step in, Michelle makes sure to make you feel welcome and well taken care of. Dr. Miller and Dr. Bikki are exceptional the entire staff, especially Holly, Jennifer, Kayla and Dusty are professional, knowledgeable, accommodating compassionate and understanding. I am not sure about the lab they use, the jury is still out on that part but Dr. Miller assured me everything will look good after the healing process and if not, he would make sure it would. I believe him, too! This place is pretty special as far as dentists go. I am giving my highest recommendation to this group. You will be so grateful you went, no matter what your dental needs. read more

I appreciate the detailed professionalism and high quality Dr Miller provides in my dental care. He is also proficient in correcting the mistakes made by other dentists and hygienists. He provides all possible suggestions, advice, and options. He plans in maintenence to keep my teeth healthy. He stands by his work. His office staff and well-trained technicians go out of their way to provide the same quality of care. My insurance questions were answered promptly because they were well-versed in my OHP insurance. When they experienced major difficulty and resistance in getting my records from a previous dentist, they did not stop until the records were received. This required numerous phone calls. I went to see them about my wisdom teeth and they told me they could get them taken out there. Will be nothing major. So I went back to get it done and they numb my entire month and started to try to get them out. My jaw was on the verge of breaking. Finally the Dr was like we can't do this here. Your going to have to go to a surgern. Came home with a numb month and a messed up gum. Oh and by the way the gum looks like he was trying to pull my molar by my wisdom tooth!! Plus my molar feels a bit lose. Not impressed at all!! Never going back!!!! Don't go there!!! read more

I have always feared going to the dentist. Dr. Miller has been a blessing for me. He's gentle, kind, always asking if I'm doing okay, if anything hurts, etc... I absolutely love him, Jennifer, and the rest of the staff! I'm still not a huge fan of going to the dentist but my anxiety has gotten much better since finding Dr. Miller and it's much easier for me to pick up the phone and make an appointment for myself. Absolutely wonderful experience. After taking my 2 daughters to Aspen dental and being told they had a laundry lists of problems that would cost almost $1000.00 out of pocket (both have double coverage for dental insurance) we saw Dr. Miller and between the 2 they had 1 cavity and nothing else. The staff were all very friendly and new what they were doing. My oldest said it was the best experience at the dentist she has ever had. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist who really cares about their patients. read more

I went to Dr. Lorhing Miller to get some dentures. When he did the 1st set of impressions he left them in too long and almost pulled my teeth when he tried to take them out. I know my teeth were in bad shape but I was in pain for several days afterwards. My insurance company changed my dentist and I had to fight to keep Dr Miller as my dentist. After surgery I went in to get a second set of impressions. I had stitches in my mouth. I told him that there were several knots in the stitches behind my gums inside my mouth. He didn't listen to me or take the time to look and pulled several knots through my wounds. He didn't do impressions that appointment and I was fine with that since I was in pain again from his carelessness. This delayed my healing process even further. When I went in for my second set of impressions he seemed rushed and distracted and kept leaving to work on other patients. Partway through the procedure he said he used the wrong set of impressions and should have used another kind instead.The impression fell out of my mouth when he was making them. I told him about it, he said "it was good enough" When he tried putting them in my mouth to simulate the new dentures it didn't fit properly and he used a TON of glue (denture cream) to try to secure them in my mouth. They didn't fit properly I told him. He got frustrated and short with me and said dentures are usually loose and "swim around" in your mouth. I offered to stay longer so he could make a better impression. Again I was ignored and was told, "It's good enough" I knew he was trying to BS me instead of doing the job properly. After waiting over a month or two since my 1st set of impressions, I FINALLY received my set of dentures. They were ill fitting and painful. He used a grinding tool to remove some material from the dentures. He did not thoroughly clean the dentures before having me put them in my mouth and each time I got more and more of the dust/ debris in my mouth. I mentioned it and it seemed to annoy him. When they still didn't fit he seemed offended and pissed off and started raising his voice at me. I said I just want a decent set of dentures and that these didn't fit properly and kept falling out and coming loose. I said I wanted him to make a new impression so they would fit properly. Dr. Miller said my expectations were too high and if I wasn't happy with this set he would make me a new pair that fit properly. I returned to get a soft liner put in since the ill fitting dentures were extremely painful especially when eating, I also mentioned that the bite alignment was off and pushed my jaw to the side when I bit down. On the day I got my soft lining installed his office called to ask if I could come in early so that Dr. Miller could leave early. I changed my schedule to accommodate him. He seemed rushed and distracted. He said he didn't mix the 2 component softliner material properly and seemed annoyed. He never fixed the bite alignment, again I was ignored. I left and the dentures didn't fit properly and were extremely painful. When I tried to take out my dentures about 5-6 hours later it was difficult because of the swelling. The soft liner on the bottom denture was delaminating in several places from the dentures and some of it was raggedly trimmed and was cutting my tongue. My gums were so swollen from the dentures rubbing I couldn't put them in for 3 days. I returned to his office. The first thing I asked him when I saw him was "how long are softliners supposed to last?" He replied "6 months to a year depending on wear" When I told him these didn't last 6 hours he got pissed off. He started removing the softliner with a scalpel. I mentioned how he said the softliner material wasn't setting up properly when he made it. I said I didn't want to pay for the 1st soft liner since it didn't last 6 hours. He got EXTREMELY angry and started screaming at me. When he was standing over me in the dental chair screaming at me with a scalpel in his hand I felt threatened and wanted out of there. He threw a tantrum and took my coat and roughly threw it on a chair and told me to leave. I said I wanted him to fix my dentures first. He took my dentures and disappeared. His office manager apologized and was professional. She called a denturist and was very helpful. She apologized profusely for Dr. Miller's outburst. I was never rude to anyone in his office and never raised my voice or yelled. I try to be professional even if I'm not happy with someone's work. The new denturist I went to made an new impression that day and the new dentures stayed in without any glue (denture cream). The new denturist fixed the nightmare dentures Dr Miller tried to pass off to me. Dr. Miller does a rush job and tried to fix his mistakes with even more mistakes, when I called him on it he became angry. His work is deplorable at best and he is the most unprofessional dentist I have ever encountered. Pulling your own teeth is better than going to Dr. Miller. read more
