Doctor Webb is great. Unfortunately he moved in with another doctor's group. This group has the worst staff. They are rude and it is nightmare booking an appointment with him. I will not accept being talked down just to see him. I am not sure if Dr. Webb knows how rude is his new staff. Worst service ever. The people who work there really give a F*** . Unbelievable. Why this people have a job i dont know. First off, i got there for my appointment and the door is locked for 90 min. at 9am. Then they unlocked the door but let me wait for an other 25min at the window and ignored me totally. After the X time asking if there are now ready for me, they told me they have other thing to do. I should go to some one else. WTH they need 2h to tell me that 8(. i have been seeing Dr. Webb for some time now for all my skin problems with the exception of psoriasis. i had been seeing a worldwide specialist for P, unfortunately he is too far and I was no longer as happy with him to travel the distance, so I began to see Dr. Webb for my P. He is a great Dr and the last time I had an appt i began to question the use of my meds and I loved the way he didn't beat around the bush and told me "i knew what the repercussions would be if I stopped, but it was up to me to make the decision" (I've had P for 30 yrs so yes i knew what would happen). I loved that about him!!! doesn't tell me what i want to hear and is honest about good and bad meds and doesn't just want to pump you up with meds. he also listens, which I respect and appreciate, doesn't just come in and spend 2 minutes with me. I feel he understands this is not just a skin problem but also extremely emotional. read more

I had a total of three visits. I was prescribed one medication that caused a bunch of dark spots to appear on my forehead and the second medication (after only taking it for 2 weeks) gave my hives for almost four days. His office staff however leaves much to be desired-hence the 3 stars, if it was for the doctor only he would get 5 stars, but you have to get past his rude and demeaning front office staff to get to him!! read more

I searched long and hard for a local, but good dermatologist who does a certain procedure at a good price (without breaking the bank) and based upon the other Yelp reviews here decided upon Dr. Webb. Part of the reason I also chose him was because I didn't want to go a place that does other services for the entire body (a full-service type salon) that other doctors do. I wanted a small, specialized office and this is what I got. I came here to have my procedure done last Friday and only after seeing him one other time, my initial visit in November. On my second visit, he really was more communicative, is very friendly, and very attentive (along with the ladies who run the office). My visit was quick, painless, and thorough. The same evening and the day after (on a Saturday), I received calls directly from Dr. Webb inquiring how I was feeling. It's great to have the doctor call you directly himself to ask about your well-being and to answer additional questions you may have. In addition, all of my follow-up appointments have been at no cost, very quick, and great. I highly recommend him. read more

Wow, Just received the worst customer service on the phone from the front desk asking if Dr. Webb is taking on new clients. And the answer was a awkward NO, no we are not. There was no explanation, no reason. I read the prior reviews thinking I would give them a chance. Yet whoever answers the phone is not friendly and customer focused. I was first referred by my GP about three years ago, and had one subsequent visit a year ago. Today they took me on short notice due to what I considered to be an emergency. They resolved the emergency and still took time to do a thorough examination and treatment. Dr. Webb really knows his stuff and is willing to take the time to explain to the patient. So, for all who read my earlier post ...(it was not pleasant or complimentry) , I would really stress you read this ... Dr P Webb obviously holds dear his patient feedback. He personally(no asst, receptionist etc) called me back SEVERAL times. He explained why his second in command saw me v/s him, even though I had an appt with him. I was in and out of the country, and he did not hear back from me. He persisted, called yet again, left many messages and when we finally spoke ... he again expressed his regret for my unsatisfactory visit. He has since very generously offered to do a follow up, free of charge. Any doctor who is so concerned with a patients review is definitely working along the strongest lines of accountability and integrity. I will definitely be seeing him again, I hope you do too. read more

Dr Webb is rude not interested in new approaches to solving dermatological problems such as brown spots and tags and is way past the time of retirement As a patient he as other of reviewers have stated asked why I Came to his office and I said because of the Internet . Even though on my last visit another New patient had arrived He seems to me he is Getting ready to leave the profession or he should be! He did not remember what he had told me in my last visit and he was annoyed by my questions and visibly shaken by other distractions - most notably By a biopsy in the other room. when he was supposed to be attending to me. After his insensitive and frustrating displayI told him I did not want him to take his nitrous oxide and freeze off simple brown spots on my delicate face and left. Thank goodness The tags he had frozen 15 days previous still were hanging on I'm glad I left And if you are thinking of making an appointment And to those who are already patients I heartily suggest rethinking. I found Dr. Webb from Yelp and saw all of the rave reviews about him "curing" acne, or at least dramatically reducing it. I arrived at his office and went into the exam room. I discussed with the nurse what my issues were and I told her about my acne, which I've had for 8 years now and was looking for something to finally get rid of it! Dr. Webb then came in shortly after. I told him I did not really want any medication, either topical or internally (antibiotics). In the past I have used oral medication and topical medication, neither of which worked and gave me red and dry skin on my face, which I let him know. He prescribed to me the drugs: minocycline, $43, plexion, $153 (!!), and cleocin, $55, none of which my insurance covered and all were generic brands..these were all 1 month supplies only! Yikes!! First of all, Dr. Webb spent less than 5 MINUTES with me, and did not even offer any alternatives to mainstream medication, which I specifically asked him for and second, who can afford $250/month for drugs that have side effects and ruins your internal organs and body?? This is totally unacceptable!! Being a Doctor of Dermatology, one should work with their patients to resolve their issues and provide several different options on how to correct the skin problems. NOT SO WITH DR. WEBB!!! Very disappointing... My second concern with this Dr. Webb is that I did not even get a skin cancer check. I have some white bumps on my back and wanted to know what those were, but I had forgot to mention that during my initial exam, because I was so preoccupied with trying to get the acne cleared. So I called Dr. Webb's office and asked if I could come in for a follow-up for him to do a simple check if I had skin cancer. She spoke with Dr. Webb and said: "Dr. Webb did do an upper body check (which was just for my acne), and there is no need to come in at this time...we can address the other issues at a later appointment." Alright, I am sorry, but if you're a Board Certified Dermatologist, should one not always check for skin cancer at every appointment, especially with how prevalent it is in our society?? So basically, I spent $50, yes, that's how much my co-pay is, for Dr. Webb to give me medications that I did not even want, to destroy and contaminate my body with the hopes of possibly slightly clearing up my acne and a statement that sounds like his office just wants to collect the co-payments instead of providing what should be a routine service of checking for skin cancer. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME!! Update: Although Dr. Webb offered me a complimentary follow-up appointment, I was unimpressed with his level of knowledge about acne. He basically said there was nothing he could do for me. Well, I'm sorry but I'm not spending $50 just for him to say that!! And in fact, I saw another dermatologist who actually has been able to clear up my acne. read more

Dr. Webb is about turning patients thru his practice vs. spending any quality time with them. I scheduled an appt for an annual check up and after spending less than 10 minutes with me asked me to schedule another appointment for things I wanted done on my first visit. Prior appointments have left me with the same feeling, not caring about my concerns or listening to what I needed. Would not recommend him for anyone unless they are interested in unnecessary revisits and brief appointments with a doctor who has few social skills. I have to agree w/ Daffney S. We have gone to Dr. Webb for many years, but have only gone once every 2-3 years to check moles, etc. So I hadn't been to his office for a couple of years until my son needed a wart (yuck!) removed and my son was afraid of the dry ice machine and we had to leave and go to the pediatrician because Dr. Webb wouldn't even try to talk my son through the procedure. He just dismissed us. Our pediatrician talked my son through the procedure and got the job done. Fast forward to this year: We went back again last week to have our moles checked, and he couldn't get us out of there fast enough. We weren't in the room for more than 9 minutes with him. And he only checked my son's back and arms, not his head or legs. I am definitely finding a new dermatologist for our family. I think now Dr. Webb mostly does elective cosmetic procedures - more money and less insurance dealings. read more

Dr. Webb is now at the California Skin Institute withh several other great doctors. I saw him yesterday in the new digs & they are wonderful; hard wood floors, a tv, & just an overall aspacious calming welcoming environment. The young ladies at the front dwesk are very kind & cute as was Dr. Wolf's assistant who was filling in for Dr. Webb's; everything from check in to the assistant confirmig was very thorough & we sharred a few laughs. Of course, Dr. Webb is the same great doctor as always & I wouold not have it any other way. Love the parking & how they are the only ones on the second floor, with the elivator taking you right into their office. In fact, the new digs remind me of a medical spaw, but it is a full general & comsmedic dermatology, MOHS surgery, plastic & reconstructive, & asthetic practice. PROFITS BEFORE PATIENTS - WARNING - BEWARE OF FEE DRIVEN DR. PETER WEBB AT THE CALIFORNIA SKIN INSTITUTE. I had a no pain, no itch rash that previously was misdiagnosed as shingles. I decided to get another opinion and made an appt. with Dr. Webb ($134) after seeing Susan Wolf who prescribed cream. He looked at the rash and said "I wouldn't have prescribed cream". Dr. Webb couldn't diagnose the rash and recommended a biopsy. I trusted him as he was the "supposed" professional. I was hastily asked to sign a consent form. He numbed and extracted the skin lesion in record time. The charge for this procedure was $180. This didn't include Cal. Skin Inst. cost of the biopsy ($200). Dr. Webb called the following week with the results. He said the rash was difficult to diagnose, however the diagnosis was PAD (Papular Acantholytic Dysteratosis). Thinking they may be related, I commented that my hair was falling out. He said that I needed to make a separate appt. ($$$$) despite having a scheduled rash appt. the following week. I researched PAD and believe his diagnosis was speculative. At my next visit, Dr. Webb froze a small area. After 9 months, the spotted rash is barely noticeable. What is noticeable is the skin damage from the biopsy and frozen areas and the feeling of being ripped off. I am worse now since seeing Dr. Webb. Dr. Webb, please don't reply as I don't trust you. read more

We love Dr. Webb. He is a great Dermotologist -- cleared up my son's acne and we continue to see him. His P.A., Raylene, is almost awesome. I have seen her for mole check and skin rash. My daughter has seen her for blemishes. I was able to call the office and get an appt. with no problems and the front staff has always been pleasant. read more
