The last five times I've ordered my order has arrived wrong - missing items or I am going to assumed damaged during commute so that means it's poor packaging. I used to refer ppl here an now it's a hit or miss. I gave it a try again after a few months of not ordering there. Did not fail at disappointing. My coworker said no mas from there!!! Bc when you're getting hungry for lunch by the time your lunch arrives you ready to eat with the minutes going until lunch is over. I started with this place back in 2022 when I first paced my first delivery. Was very surprised how good and well seasoned the order was. I cannot talk about their entire menu as I have only been hooked on the same thing since 2022. Cheese Quesadillas Shrimp Tacos Carnitas tacos (for my mom when she visits) Horchata (OBSESSED) The tacos are well cooked and soft. The shrimps are well seasoned. My only issue with the shrimps is the size and portion. Not many shrimps and they are a bit small. Otherwise, the tacos does HIT the SPOT. The cheese quesadilla I LOVE. I have ordered in the past cheese quesadillas from other Mexican restaurants and the size were a bit small. The quesadillas from Bushwick Tacos is pretty large for one person. One Quesadilla order can feed two people. Highly recommend. Last, had to leave the best for last. The Horchata is definitely what I call an Horchata. Not that milky Horchata like most places do by adding a ton of milk. Bushwick Tacos Horchata Has the real authentic rice taste and cinnamon. Very refreshing. They only had a couple tables to eat inside. We were immediately greeted and seated. They have a great menu and a lot of different options for your fillings. You can pick a style: taco, burrito, bowls, quesadillas, tortas, enchiladas, and flautas. Then pick your fillings. They have something for everyone. This is also a great kid friendly spot with many options for them to choose from. I can't stop thinking about the Papas Fritas. Perfectly fried French fries topped with cotija cheese, cilantro, and chili powder served with a side of chipotle Mayo. Definitely try these as an appetizer or side dish, you won't regret it. The chips and salsa were delicious too! The BTC Special Burrito Bowl was fire! I loved the mix of Spanish rice, tomatoes, avocado, salsa verde, and over easy eggs with your choice of meat. I came here with a party of four. The restaurant is small. They only have two tables inside with enough seating for 8 people total. To start, we had the chips and guacamole. The chips were served warm, which is always a welcome treat. They were thin, crispy, and salted. Perfectly snackable. The guacamole was fresh and chunky. We also got the cheese empanadas. Going forward, I could eat these as a meal on their own. An order includes 3 and they are pretty large. They were amazing. Super crispy and flaky with just the right amount of melty cheese. The best. I also ordered the mushroom and spinach bowl. The portion size was really large. It was tasty and very filling, especially with their verde and rojo salsas. Both of the salsas had a nice, flavorful kick but they weren't crazy spicy. Their burritos were also huge. They gave us a free carafe of water for the table. We came here for a quick lunch as we were in the area. We decided to eat-in. The restaurant was empty but, they had a steady stream of deliveries and takeout orders. The restaurant had 3 tables with two chairs each and a hand sanitizer bottle by the entrance. The table service was non-existent. They took orders and dropped off food and the bill. They didn't check in and they forgot items when we ordered. They two women spent most of the time chatting among themselves or handling customers that came in. We got an order of guac and chips ($7.50) to share. The chips and guac was okay but, nothing noteworthy. We noticed that the chips seemed homemade but, they didn't add any salt to them. When added green and red sauce to the guac and it made the guac more flavorful. Little Ram got an order of goat tacos for $13. They thought it was okay but, they were hungry after consuming the tacos. I felt for that price they should have included a small side. I ordered the chicken tinga bowl for $9 (not including additional add-ons). I added in sour cream and guac which cost extra. Personally, I felt that this bowl was lacking for this price point. The flavor was decent but, I felt like there was more lettuce than rice and sour cream shouldn't be extra. I honestly felt like I was eating a salad and not a rice bowl. Jammy Jam got an Al Pastor bowl for $9 (not including additional add-ons). They ordered guac and fajitas veggies for $1.50-ish for each add-on. They said the flavor was lacking but, that it was tasty. They said there wasn't anything that was noteworthy. They felt that Qboda has better flavor and value for the price point. We also ordered horchatas ($2.75) and it was okay. My friends remarked it tasted like weak tea. The churros for $8 was okay. I am not sure if the churro had a filling or if it was under cooked. I thought it was okay but, Little and Jam enjoyed them. I found the chocolate dipping sauce to be very rich and strong. I am kinda torn. I like that this is a cute neighborhood spot but, I felt that the flavor was lacking and not noteworthy. There was nothing that made this spot stick out from other places. The prices are affordable but, quickly add up when you add in extras like onion/peppers, pico de gallo, sour cream, and guac. Ordered takeout for Cinco de Mayo and we were expecting an insane wait, but to our surprise the food was ready very quickly despite it being so busy. Opted for some chipotle chicken tacos, fish of the day tacos, chips and guacamole, and chipotle mayo on the side. We really wanted elote, but they said they were out. The chipotle chicken tacos were extremely flavorful, but I do wish they didn't put the salsa verde on top so that we can choose how much or how little we want to put on. TAKE OUT ORDER: Where do I begin. First of the food here is not made w "love" it's made w the quickness and you can tell as soon as you start eating. Speaking of the tacos, the tinga polo is not seasoned and needs salt! Just bc it's spicy doesn't mean you can omit the salt. The shrimp tacos are most definitely frozen small farm raised shrimp (about 4 per taco) the chorizo is extremely greasy (this is normal) but they could probably leave some of the oil behind when plating. Craving Tacos and decided to check out this spot while in Bushwick. I ordered two tacos: steak and chipotle chicken. The size of the tacos was medium sized. Depending on your hunger level, one would have been sufficient. The tortillas were soft and tasty. The steak taco was my favorite. The meat was tender with a flavorful sauce. Pretty good tacos! They're bigger than expected. I tried 4 (carnitas, chorizo, steak, and chicken) Preferred the carnitas and chicken, wasn't really a fan of the steak or chorizo tacos. The menu is lengthy with a lot to chose from. We started with the guac and ended with the tres leches for dessert. Yummmm. Would recommend both. Well, tonight was the fourth time (in six weeks) that I ordered from BTC and it was the fourth time I enjoyed an absolutely delicious meal with great service so these guys have definitely earned a five-star review. This was a pretty solid place to get a shrimp bowl (one of my fave things to order from taco spots). Next time I'll definitely be trying their tacos and quesadillas but my bowl was pretty yummy and filling. I wish it were seasoned a bit more, and delivery went a bit smoother, but that's just nit picking. Overall, really great experience and solid place if you're craving anything Tex mex. I recommend it!
