I tried four items. I didn't enjoy it as much as I have previous times. My favorite was probably the peanut butter meltaway, which I'll get again, though my wife doesn't like peanut butter things as much as me. Second may have been the popcorn. I don't remember it being packaged this way in the past, however, and I wasn't a fan: in a plastic tray, and there was a dessicant package in the bottom stuck in the popcorn. It's also messy to eat. I didn't think the Oreos were anything special this time. My wife preferred the truffle to the peanut butter meltaway, but I thought it was just ordinary good. Peterbrook is rather expensive, so I think other treats I've gotten are a better value. I spent $22.58 for those four things: their smallest chocolate-coated popcorn tray, two of the chocolate-covered oreos, and one each truffle and meltaway. read more

Came in with a craving for a chocolate covered strawberry and I was in luck they had them, they had milk, dark and white chocolate options. I opted for the milk chocolate. The chocolate was good but the strawberry may have been on the greener side as it was pretty firm and had no taste, so I can't say that I recommend the strawberries nor will I get those again BUT they have lots of fun items and something that caught my attention was that they can dip a wine bottle in chocolate, they have options pre dipped there or you can bring your own bottle. Ever since then I said I have to get some of my own. I convinced myself that I had to try a few things in order for my review to be accurate! I bought chocolate covered popcorn, milk chocolate covered strawberries, one white chocolate covered strawberry, milk chocolate covered almonds and one chocolate covered bacon to try for the first time! The almonds are covered in way too much chocolate and all of my co workers said it's a thumbs down on the chocolate covered bacon! I think it's because the bacon tasted old, in my opinion they should be made fresh and sold fresh daily. The popcorn is EVERYTHING and the chocolate covered strawberries were perfect!! When we asked questions about some of the offerings she barely eked out a response. On one item she admitted that they made it there but never asked if we wanted something different than what was available in the store. HUGE disappointment. Sampled some chocolate and was not nearly overjoyed by the flavor or texture. Ordered a small cone of gelato, for about $6+ (with taxes) and got a minuscule portion of very average tasting ice cream. I was expecting a rich, creamy, gelato, but to me it just tasted like average ice cream with a slightly smoother texture. I'm no chocolate expert, but to me there was nothing too fantastic about this establishment. I would rather go next door to Sweet Frog to grab a better quality and quantity frozen treat. read more

Highly disappointed!!!!!! Came in here last friday with a mean craving for some chocolate...left here with my head held low in despair!!! Due to my seemingly insatiable chocolate craving in full swing, I decided to get a large cup of chocolate gelato. To say the least, I was let down. First, I got my gelato and it was freezer burned...what the heck??? Because I paid $5 for this large cup that had maybe 3 bites, I decided to TRY (key word) and finish it to get my money's worth. I wanted so badly to love this place but I am left disappointed and unsatisfied. As a new Jaxonian, it was only a matter of time before I would find myself in one of these establishments. I asked about the history of PB and learned that this is a locally started business with several locations in Jacksonville and two stores in Orlando. There is no large central warehouse or manufacturing headquarters so that means each location makes small batch product. The company is looking for a building to grow. Speaking of product, this is high quality stuff. I was impressed with the sample I was offered and thought this would make an excellent gift. I especially enjoyed the chocolate covered strawberries they offer. The customer service provided was very strong and also worth a mention. The staff was friendly and provided assistance and narrowed down options to not make this store feel overwhelming. We love Peterbrooke. We just wish all locations had the same ice cream as the beach. We always have to drive all the way to the beach for our favorite ice creams coconut chocolate chunk and butter pecan. When I was a kid they all used to have the same ice cream. However, I usually like to experiment, especially since they have such a crazy selection, but they have never let me down. Absolutely love Peterbrookes and the Town Center store is one of the best! Customer service here is above and beyond and the store is beautifully decorated for every holiday occasion! Wow-some of my very favorites include: The white cloud: toasted coconut covered in white chocolate-it's heaven. My husband and I hide it from each other and fight over the last bites. We also love the freezer truffles, strawberries and the chocolate truffle cake. And of course who doesn't love the popcorn-salty and sweet. What a great combo. Last week we explored the gelatos-all were amazing but the salted caramel was our new favorite!! Oh yeah, did I mention BACON. My 2 favorite food groups combined. warning to chocolate covered popcorn buyers at peterbrooke .when my wife purchased some popcorn for me it came in a tray.i opened it and took a big bite out of the corner.i noticed something very chewy in my mouth and spit it out. it after i cleaned it off i realized that written on the packet was do not eat along with other warnings . after rinsing out my mouth i realized it was a packet to keep the product safe but very dangerous if eaten..when making the popcorn they put this packet in the tray pour popcorn and hot chocolate over it and the poisen packet is resessed into the food ..i have contacted peterbrooke twice about this and have never gotten a response why have a corporate comment site if you never read comments from a long time customer ...bad business terrible customer relations..there are too many small business owners held accountable for their product and service ..why not peterbrooke.. read more
