I realize I don't know the back story, but I'm a leader of an organization too and this was absolutely sickening. If you needed to make a correction it should have been in private. Also- It's cold, the CARTS are not a big deal- humans are. If the carts are a big deal, put some gloves on and go help your employees- it's not rocket science. When I went out to help her because she was clearly embarrassed, she was nearly in tears. I absolutely plan to contact higher management and report this abusive behavior- by the way, multiple employees witnessed it and I have their names too. Do better. Be better. Or find another job where you don't have the privileged RESPONSIBILITY to be a leader of humans.

I waited and waited and waited. The lady next to me got her groceries after pulling in after me and said I may want to call the store number and let them know you've been waiting for over an hour. I did that at least four times and no answer. A guy was delivering groceries to someone else's car and I went over to him and I said it's been well over an hour and I still don't have my groceries and he said he would check into it next and bring them out. I waited another 15 minutes. I put in a call to the one 800 customer service and got a guy on the phone and he asked me all my information and he said he would check me in and I said I already did that at 6:23 PM. And he said he would do it again and by that time the guy finally came out with my groceries and he says well you have everything. I said well I'm not happy with the service and I feel as though I deserve something because my time is just as valuable as everybody else and it was clearly a complete screwup on their end. I said I'm not satisfied with that. He says well that's all he can do and I said it's not acceptable and I expect something and he hung up the phone on me. I went into the grocery store and talked to the manager and of course she wasn't very helpful. She said they had a refrigerator problem and the people had to run back back-and-forth in the store, not my problem. I got some sorry and there was nothing she could do so clearly she didn't care either. I called the one 800 customer service number back again and talk to a gentleman. explained the situation all over again. I said I feel as though my time is valuable and I'm not satisfied with how I was treated by anybody so far so he offered me a $10 coupon. To be honest with you, not looking to get my groceries for free, but certainly my time is worth more than $10 but at least he was decent to talk to and tried his best. It was a miserable order experience and doubt I would ever use it again if that's how they treat a so-called Walmart plus customer for their screw ups

A sign at the cheese kiosk advertised 20% off Murray's Cambozola Black Label if you have a Fred…read moreMeyer loyalty card, which I do have. The unit price on the label/sticker was $24.99/lb. That's the price if you don't have the loyalty card and, thus, don't get the discount. The sticker then went on to show the "price with card," i.e., the discounted price, i.e. the 20% off price. And that unit price showed as $20.69/lb. That's a discount, yes, but it's not a 20% discount. To simplify, let's say the un-discounted unit price was $25/lb (a penny more than the actual un-discounted price). What's 20% of $25? Five dollars. So the discounted price with loyalty card should have been $20/lb. Another sign at the kiosk advertised 20% off Murray's Aged Manchego. Same problem: Fred's system didn't calculate the 20% correctly. The un-discounted unit price was $26.99/lb., but the same sticker showed the price with card to be $23.59/lb. Twenty percent off $26.99 is $21.59, not $23.59. So, I was being charged $2 more per pound than the advertised price on the sign right there at the kiosk. The nice young woman at the cheese kiosk seemed to understand what I explained to her in person, but she said she couldn't change the pricing; all the cheese sales staff does is weigh the portions and their system spits out a label. So I spoke in person to the man at the customer service counter, who also told me he couldn't change the pricing system and he didn't think anyone else in the store could, either. He noted that the PLU number on the sign didn't match the PLU on the sticker affixed to the hunk of cheese. I phoned and spoke with a grocery manager who did not listen, tried to say I misunderstood, then hung up on me. Then I phoned the 800 number and, once I got past the automated answering system and spoke to a person, she listened, seemed to understand, and said she'd pursue it. Bottom line for you, other Freddie's patrons, is: Check the math on the advertised discount. Make sure that the discount shown on the label agrees with the advertised discount.

I came down here earlier on a whim to pick up some groceries. I'm glad I did. Costco Business Center is located off of N. Muldoon in the former Sam's Club warehouse next to the Glenn Highway and the Elmendorf gate. This location was meant to accommodate local businesses in the area for supplies, but this location is just as good for regular members when going grocery shopping. The big takeaway is the stark contrast of the crowd of shoppers compared to the other locations. The crowds are much lighter and the checkout lines are a lot shorter, yes this is Costco we're talking about. When I hear the name Costco, I usually think of the great deals they have on a wide variety of items, but I also associate chaos and confusion every time I go into one. I can actually navigate the aisles and go around the store at my own pace instead of rushing to pick up what I need and standing in long lines for several minutes when checking out. I found plenty of items on sale and at lower prices compared to the regular grocery stores nearby. The number of items I purchased are too numerous to mention in this review, but a few of them definitely stand out for the price. On this trip, I found a 2.5lb canister of Virginia extra-large Peanuts for only $7.99, a 4-pack of Lysol Antibacterial Wipes for $11.49 (a pack of 2 costs $18.99 at Carrs so this was one of the best deals you can find) a 32 oz. tub of Golden Irish Spreadable Butter imported from Ireland for $11.99, and a box of Burnt Ends Smoked and Seasoned Beef Brisket 1.60lbs. for $23.50 (I was ecstatic to find this as I mentioned in previous reviews that most BBQ places in Anchorage don't have this on the menu). There was only a two-minute wait for checking out at the registers on a Sunday afternoon compared to 10 or 20 minutes at the Debarr location around the same time. The downsides to this location is no Food Court at the front, although I suspect this was meant to keep crowds under control during peak busy times. Smart move, but it's still nice to get a cheap slice of pizza or a hotdog on the way out. There's also no eyeglass store, auto shop, clothing, furniture, electronics, or jewelry at this location, but I'm happy with just a regular grocery run at large quantities and affordable prices. With a slower pace compared to the other stores, it is much easier for employees to stop what they are doing and take the time to help you find an item in the warehouse. Parking has to be the best of the three locations, there was no difficulty finding an available spot not far from the entrance. Despite the omissions of products not found here, I find the simplicity of grocery shopping in a large warehouse with relative ease a nice change of pace.
