Well we went here to celebrate my mother's birthday and our anniversary. We had reservations and still waited 20 minutes for a table. This place was full. The wait was worth it and the food was amazing. The fish dish was so flavorful. The pasta was fresh and yummy. Service was top notch and they even brought my mother a piece of tiramisu with a candle on it and sang happy birthday. Over all it was a great experience and we will surely be coming back to this place. read more

We ordered the pasta with seafood $50 which we split It was just enough after our cauliflower appetizer (very Good). Also had the pistachio tiramisus 2/5. Which was ok. Can only speak for take out: We order take out once every couple of months from Nonna. The chicken parm panini has progressively worsened along with their side potato wedges. This last time we got them, the potatoes were clearly undercooked and one was at least a 1/4 of a potato. It just seems like they stopped caring about the quality of their food. read more

Last night a real disappointment. Prices have risen dramatically. A side dish (small) of spinach was $10. Fried calamari appetizer $20. A terrible Nonna salad $14 for a few greens, one tomato and two olives. Prices aside, nothing was better than blah. I had much better veal piccata. We never received a bread plate etc. No one had high praise for their dish. We will return because perhaps last night they were off. I'll give them one more chance. read more

We came here for Easter dinner for 2 reasons. Because it was close to the home of who was taking us & because there was no special Easter menu. The service was great. The atmosphere was awesome. The food was superb. They also have some great veggie pasta options for 1 of our party that wanted to eat vegetarian. Very dish we ordered was absolutely delicious. The deserts were scrumptious. The restaurant was recommended by a member of an FB group when I posted a query for restaurants the serve pasta con sarde, a traditional Sicilian pasta dish made with sardines, fennel, pine nuts, raisins and bread crumbs. This dish is typically available for St Joseph's feast, so naturally we had to go to satisfy my craving. Let me just say the food is outstanding! We started with the stuffed artichoke, large enough for 2 people to share, grilled octopus and the most delicious and tenderest mussels we've ever had. Our mains were branzino, chicken piccata and of course, pasta con sarde which brought me back to my years in Sicily and did not disappoint. We ended with zeppole, so fresh and flavorful, I might even say better than what I've had in Italy. The entire meal was stupendous, the staff truly lovely, especially our waiter Antonio who continued to smile through my rusty Italian. Truly the best Italian restaurant we've eaten at in many, many years and our new favorite in SoFlo. Worth the 45 mile distance from our house. We went for dinner with friends. While the food was good, the music from the strolling accordion player was so loud that we had to yell across the table to be heard. The music started out charming, with him playing Italian themed. But depending on where he "strolled", it got louder and his music morphed into pop American tunes. There was no escaping it. Tremendous meal tonight made even better by Sergio, who is everything you want in a waiter...friendly, helpful, attentive, charming and funny. We started with the Grilled Octopus appetizer, which was a good portion for two people and very fresh. For entrees we had the Lobster Ravioli ala Vodka and the Pork Chop Campagnola. The ravioli were about palm sized with a nice amount of identifiable lobster meat. I tried a bite of my wife's and it was very good, rich and creamy with just enough chew to the ravioli. The pork chop had two bones, so a sufficient thickness and was cooked perfectly medium. I definitely recommend both entrees, as well as their Tiramisu...delicious and a very shareable portion. We have yet to have had a bad meal here...it's just a good meal at a decent value, at a friendly place. read more

Having never been to Trattoria Nonna, I didn't know what to expect. The restaurant is on SW 18th Street in Boca Raton (about a mile east of Powerline Road on the South side of the street). The restaurant features sit down table and chairs, as well as a bar you can sit at. I ordered Moscato D'Asti, and then was told they were out of it. I ordered baked clams Oreganato as an appetizer and also ordered their Linguine A La Nonna. It is supposed to be linguine pasta topped with Shrimp and a brandy sauce. The shrimp was cut up instead of showing the who shrimp. The entree was tasty, but I couldn't taste the brandy in the sauce. My wife enjoyed their chicken parmigiana. The best part of the meal was that they have an accordionist who goes to all the tables and serenades the ladies. He is from Italy and very nice. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, with an adviso that everything is a la Carte. However, the food was very good and I would recommend this establishment. read more

Excellent menu with wonderful specials. All courses arrived at the perfect temperature. Dining room is spacious so you are not on top of your neighbors. This month we decided to meet at Trattoria Nonna in Boca. The restaurant was full, and it's always a good sign. Our reservation was at seven o'clock, and we were seated immediately when we arrived by the hostess. We were nine and our server Tiffany took really good care of us, she was super efficient, friendly and professional. The food is authentic Italian cuisine, we ordered different kinds of plates from the menu from pasta, veal, and fish. I felt like eating pizza, so I ordered the Calabrese, it had soppressata, and hot peppers. For dessert, I had the cannolo, delicious! Like I mentioned before, the restaurant was packed, and we were all impressed by the fact, that our food came out fast from the kitchen! The busboys and food runners were also efficient and polite. Generally, I would say the food is very good with a few exceptions. I don't like the eggplant parm because it has virtually no fry and is very bland. I don't like their hero's because they use a weird bread. I really enjoy most of their pasta dishes and generally speaking, their dinner menu is very strong. It's a very warm and friendly environment and apparently people like it because it's pretty packed every time I go. I don't know how they get a $$ from Yelp because it's pretty pricey with most pastas in the $26 to $30 range and most entrees in the $32+ range. read more

The aesthetic of this little restaurant was absolutely nostalgic to me where it reminded me of being in little Italy in New York. We did get there 10 minutes to the kitchen closing, but everything still exceeded all our expectations.
