Let me preface this review by saying I used to clean carpets for a living and know how much hard work it really is. Not to mention most people call to have their carpets cleaned only when they are in complete disrepair. You should have your carpets professionally cleaned about every other year. And, you should not rely on the home units to get your carpets truly cleaned. With is all being said, lets talk about the service I received. I called to have my place cleaned in the shores. He quoted me his minimum fee $85. I thought it was a very low quote, but with all of the positive review, I would go ahead and schedule the apt. He arrives in an old minivan, no signage on it at all. Proceeds to pull out a portable machine similar to the ones from the big box hardware stores. Granted it was a notch above them in terms of cleaning abilities, but nowhere near professional quality you should expect in 2013. He then asks me to help him carry it upstairs. Excuse me, do I work for you? If I wanted to be involved in this process I would have rented a unit and cleaned my own carpets. All during the cleaning, which took twice as long as it should have, he decided to tell off color jokes. After about the 20th political and or religious joke, i was debating either kicking him out or just killing him to save everyone else from this experience. On the bright side, I already had a machine to clean up the mess. I kid, this was merely to demonstrate the off putting humor I had to endure. So, 2 hours later he finishes the "job". Shortly after, my wife comes home and looks at the carpets and asks, "I thought the carpet cleaner was coming today?" This was just the icing on the cake. Save yourself time and money of having to call someone else to redo the job. What a joke of a service!!! read more

I am so glad I had Peter come over to clean our carpets! I wanted to hire someone that was running an independent local business and I'm so glad I did. Hilarious guy, AMAZING work, and I will absolutely have him come clean our carpets again. Spots I didn't think would ever come out disappeared like magic! I bought a Groupon from this business. I contacted Peter to set up an appointment and he said that the Groupon was no longer valid. He told me to contact the company to get my money back when in reality because his ad is valid on the website it is his responsibility to make sure there is no false advertising for his business. Now I am stuck trying to get my money back for a Service he claims is no longer valid. As a personal service business owner myself this is a very unprofessional way to deal with possible clients who would return regularly. I ordered this service from AmazonLocal.com so I didn't have any ideals about this guy Peter. First when I call him to set up the appointment he constantly complained about how much money he was losing for doing the AmazonLocal.com deal. I ignored his complaining and set up the appointment. He arrived to my place 30 mins late and he started complaining again that he is only one person and he is an old guy so I should be patience with him. He came in and looked at my carpet and then told me that my carpet was really dirty and I needed to replace it because my carpet was really old. At this point he didn't even walk past the living room. I advised him that my carpet was only 3 years old and that I was renting out the location and all I wanted was for him to attempt to clean the carpet. Then he tells me that he would not do it because he was would not make a profit because of the AmazonLocal.com deal and then he walk out of my place before we every came to an agreement. He also told me to call AmazonLocal.com and tell them that I didn't want him to clean my carpet and I should get a refund. This guy is a greedy person and he is only working to make the most money. Maybe I caught this guy on a bad day, but he was rude, argumentative and disrespectful on the phone. I would advise taking your business elsewhere. There are many other companies out there that can clean your carpets for a good price without having to deal with an ignorant business owner who obviously doesn't know what customer service is! I recently had Peter clean the carpeting in my condo. I found Peter to be very friendly, funny and someone who knew a great deal about carpet care and cleaning and was local as well. The process was very quick as no rinsing was required since the enviornmently, pet and child friendly product he used (PROCYON) was soap free. Spots that he removed near the kitchen that would re-appear after each attempt that I made to remove them have not come back after Peter's cleaning. THE VERY BEST!! I refer him to everyone who needs their carpet cleaned. What's even better is how great the cleaning product is that he uses. Contains no toxins, no residue, no chemical odor. I was a little skeptical to see how it would turn out and HE IS GREAT. Peter first sprayed my carpet with his product to loosen the dirt, and I saw the changes right before my eyes. He carpet cleaned by entire condo (1000 sq ft) PLUS upholstery cleaned my couch (micro fiber that hasn't been cleaned in years), all for $160!! My carpet by the way, is an off white, so you can imagine how filthy, dirty, and dark my carpet was. But after an hour and a half with Peter, my carpet is brand spankin new!! Peter was great! He's local and arrived within 20 minutes. I helped him carry the equipment since I'm on the 3rd floor without an elevator. I needed him to clean the dog urine stains out of my beige microfiber couch on 2 cushions and the headrest of the sectional. He cleaned the couch, a stain in my loveseat, my ottoman, and my door entrance carpet for a decent $80. He uses a safe cleaner, hot water, and a small scrub brush. The job took about 2 hours and the couch dried in 3 hours. He's highly relatable and hilarious. Tip the man! read more
