I walked in and was met by Chad after a few minutes. He working alone and doing a pretty good job shuffling between customers. I knew the carpet style that I wanted and had my measurements so we went right to the large spindles of carpets. He educated me about the quality of carpet and the prices associated with those carpets. We talked about installing the carpet and he has guys that do that. How his guys are bonded and insured. I picked between the 8 or so styles that he showed me, picked an installation date and time, paid my deposit and I was done. I even saved $65 by agreeing to pay the remainder of the balance to the installer on the day of the install . Chad is real knowledgeable and honest about prices and other carpet or flooring needs. It was good to deal with Bruce and get a rapid installation of luxury plank vinyl flooring in a rental unit located in Belmont Shore. Prices were lower than Home Depot for a complete job of removal and disposal, installation in a few days from purchase...it would be minimum of three weeks to get an install through Home Depot. read more

Not a positive experience here! I went to the store looking for help with replacing my damaged laminate flooring. When I walked in, the man at the register did not acknowledge me and I was ignored for about 15 minutes. I finally got his attention after I huffed and puffed around looking annoyed. After I was finally helped, we set up a date and time for someone to come to my home for an estimate. Well, they did not show up or even have the courtesy to call! I didn't feel comfortable with the guys they sent out, but they said they were "their best". I heard one of them scream "f*&%!" so loud, the rest of the neighborhood stopped in their tracks. I can't stand it when I hire someone and they end up yelling profanity all over my property. It's rude. So not only are they rude, but after bragging about how great they are and how there would be no seams, they gave me a curvy seam down the middle of my kitchen that lifted 6 months later. I didn't call to get them to fix it because I didn't want them on my property again. I figured that was the best they could do, having sent their best guys. read more

After a frustrating start at self-installing pergo flooring for our new office, we gave up and decided on carpeting. With a crunch deadline of moving in within a week, we needed to find a place with inventory ready to install. We stopped at Carpet & Linoleum City and were courteously helped by John Twomey, who was able to direct us to there ready supply of commercial carpeting. We found a color and design that was perfect and enough to complete the job. I asked how quickly this could be installed and was assured that this could be scheduled within the week. We went in on a Saturday, got measurements on Tuesday (on time by the way) and installed on Thursday (again, on time). Linoleum Discount City was recommended to my by a friend who has a carpet clearning business. Based on my experience I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to purchase quality carpet at a great competitive price and have it professionally installed by two very professional carpet installers who have combined over 30 years of installation experience. The owner Chad really came through for me with flying colors when I had a problem with another large well known Carpet Company in City of Commerce who at the 25th hour said they could not get the carpet I wanted for almost another month (they had known about my carpet choice since the start of our remodel). Since we had started our remodel 2.5 months ago I could not continue to live almopst another month in total disarray (all of our furniture and belongs had already been moved to the garage for the gutting, remodel and retiling) so my friend suggested I contact Linoleum Discount City. Chad was able to get the carept I wanted within a week and scheduled the install for last Saturday. Initially I was very nervous as this other carpet company in City of Commerce could not understand why they were quoted such a long wait time versus the time Chad was quoted. I called a few days before the scheduled installation and Chad confirmed the carpet would be installed on the original schedule date. I finally figured out that Chad had got through the Shaw Distribution Center in Cypress versus the Los Angeles Distribution Center that this other carpet company uses. Hence through his connection and affiliation "he really came through and saved the day." Chad's pricing was comparable to what this other carpet company had quoted me and he even came down a bit. That was really impressive given that he knew the pickle I was in. I also want to thank Chad's carpet installation crew Jose and Jose (yes both had the same name) for their excellence carpet installation last Saturday. They were not only on time but arrived 15 min early. They spoke English, were efficient and cleaned up when done. Their work was quality and you could not see any seams. To make this experience better, they even helped my husband and I assemble a bed frame that had come with "no instructions" that ended up being a little more complicated. Our last carpet install was 10 years ago when we went through Lowes and purchased Berber carpet. Comparatively speaking this was a breeze and cheaper in comparison. Based on this fantastic experience, my husband and I would highly recommend Linoleum Discount City, Chad, and his professional installation crew to anyone who is looking purchase a superior carpet and have a quality professional installation. Prices are not everything. I had wood flooring installed by the "best guys". They were terrible and now I have to tear out the entire floor and start over. I ordered carpet and although the correct amount of padding was sent, 1/4 of the carpet was not and now I have carpet that doesn't match and still need to install the rest. Go for a better place, this guy does not honor his commitments or his clients. read more

I have used Lino City 6 times in the past 2 years alone, including my residence in San Clemente. The owner himself came out to measure after which I discovered another dealer had overestimated yardage. The drive to Long Beach was worth the time as they had a decent selection of quality thick styles in their storage unit as well as the usual samples. While I would'nt go to the movies with the installers, they did a fantastic job as my wife will attest and she is picky as all hell! With all the bumping, a picture fell and broke, but they were so apologetic about it, I let it slide even though the owner offered to pay for it. (It was a collectable Coca Cola picture). As for my rentals, I just call and tell them to handle it and have never been ripped off. I would'nt buy the disguntled reviews as they don't represent the facts. All too often I read blistering reviews that are not fair or true and tell more about the reviewer than the store. read more
