Awesome place with great staff. Cash only but prices are reasonable so no big deal. Stop in and have a good time. Jackasses not welcome.

'5 Stars, Amazing! What went well?' Is the AI programming reaction to my input of a 5 Star rating…read moreof our experience this afternoon. The not nearly often enough answer is 'everything went well'. At Hero's West in Lemont: - Ambience, designed to separate the bowling alley from the bar and grill so we didn't hear a pin fall. If you sit at the bar the stools and the well placed foot rail will keep you comfortable. A clean, modern space with high ceilings and a roll-up overhead door for when warmer weather eventually returns. - Food and Beverages. An usually large selection of ice cold beers on tap. The Saturday $10 Nachos with pulled pork special had the perfect thin crispy chips with a bit more of delicious toppings than two large hungry men could finish completely. - Service. Lina was our bartender. She did a perfectly excellent job for us from greeting to finish. Her supporting colleagues did the same. It was clear they all take pride in their roles and enjoy being there.

She took my wife's drink order and went to get it - without taking MY drink order. We thought that this was a fluke but it was indicative of how slapdash our entire visit would go. It felt like we were an annoyance keeping Kayla away from her top priority: her phone. Then my wife's burger came out on a pretzel bun that looked like it had been sat on - no lettuce, tomato or onions on the side - just meat on mangled bread (with fries). We tried to remedy this but had to wait for Kayla to put her phone down and wander back to our table to do so. This took a while. We usually get dessert when dining out, but we had enough of Kayla's half-assery for one evening that we didn't push our luck. All in all, the service was lousy and the food was sub-par. If/when we ever come back, it won't be anytime soon.

We sat at the bar a were greater in a timely manner by a friendly bartender. I should mention that the entire bar area was full. Our bartender took our drink orders. Tye alcohol special for Friday was $3.50 Imported bottles. We ordered wine and a draft beer. The drinks arrived right away and we were asked if we were ready to order. We both ordered the fish special. We were happily surprised when our server said we could pick any side if we wanted something other than fries. This included the option of picking one of the 2 soups they had available. We elected to pick a cup of the soup of the day which was lasagna soup and waffle sweet potato fries with the other dinner. The lasagna soup arrived first. It was excellent. It was served at a nice hot temperature with a rich seasoned tomato base that had little lasagna pieces in addition to some vegetables. Our fish dinners then arrived. There was an impressive amount of first serving fish at least 5 pieces each plate. The taste of the pollack fillets was fresh and tender. We both felt that the breeding was too thick and very salty for our taste. Unfortunately we noticed the taste of the breading was probably also negatively affected because the oil being overused. We enjoyed the fish by pulling off the majority of the breading and just eating the fish. We did not order any additional fish because the initial portion was enormous. The accompanied waffle sweet fries were not our favorite. They were pretty this which didn't allow for much sweet potato taste. They also absorbed the oil taste which was unappealing. The coleslaw was fresh but seasoned to lightly with very little sauce. Final thoughts were that the soup was our favorite. The pricing is definitely value for AYCE pollack. Fish was fresh and flakey. Too muck breading and salt with an unpleasant oily taste.

We…read morewere greeted right away, seated quickly, and handed menus along with the day's specials. The menu is surprisingly broad, with plenty of appealing options. Our server--who was also tending bar--took our drink orders. Soft drinks arrived promptly, and we asked for a few extra minutes to look things over. I considered a burger, but at $25 it felt a bit steep, so we went with a mix of other dishes: Cedar Plank Salmon with Basil Soup, a Keto Cobb Salad with dressing on the side, The Park Reuben with fries, and a Blackened Chicken Panini with fries. Impressively, everything came out in about ten minutes. The Reuben and the Panini were both solid choices, though the fries were only room temperature. The salmon had great flavor, though the rice could have been a bit more cohesive. The Cobb salad hit the mark--fresh, satisfying, and easy to customize with the dressing on the side. Our server checked in regularly and kept our drinks refilled. The crowd was a mix of regulars, retirees, and casual diners, and we found ourselves eyeing other entrées as they passed by. The restaurant also has a great patio that will be perfect once the weather warms up, plus a well‑appointed bar area with plenty of TVs. Winter Olympics highlights were playing during our visit, adding to the relaxed atmosphere. We took a look at the dessert menu, but nothing really grabbed us this time. Even so, we all agreed we'd come back to try more of the menu--there's definitely potential here.

I visited on a Saturday for lunch and had no problem getting a table. The menu had a variety of appetizers, salads, burgers, sandwiches, and mains. I loved how large of a beer and drink menu they had as well as the fact that their patio is dog friendly! I got the Nana's Meatball Sandwich and loved the flavors! They put the red sauce on the side to add your preferred amount. Any entree to split does add a $1.50 gratuity. Others in our group got The Girl's Signature Truffle Shuffle Burger and The Philly. The flavors were great, sandwich portions were large, but fries could have been crispier. Our server Souzie was incredibly kind, full of energy, and did a great job checking in on us. The items vary in price where some are value driven and some seem to be a premium. Overall, thoroughly impressed by my visit and the food quality. Tip: Check out their daily specials and happy hour to get extra deals!

Morgan's is on the main road on the north side of Lockport. Has a run down kind of look from the outside but that's a trick apparently. The inside is larger than you think it would be, and there's plenty of room for parties and gatherings. Better menu than expected from such a bar, as it's not just some junk food. It has fries and stuff yes but some actual meals. There's also some drink specials. It's about $5 for most beers on tap, and the specials are even cheaper. We shared a basket of fries. It's about $3 for appetizers. The entrees are kind of meaty, with items such as tenderloin. If you like that kind of stuff, for sure it looked pretty good. That being said, it has a few healthier items like salads. Got to say this beats the expectations for a bar out in the middle of nowhere most people would choose to be in. It has a pretty clean atmosphere and the staff is attentive and friendly to most. There's lots of daily specials on things like buckets of domestics, and the food is okay enough and not just fried things.

Beautiful bar and comfortable dining room. It's divided up so it doesn't feel packed even when it's full. The drinks are good and reasonably priced. They have a nice selection of craft beers and house cocktails. The food was amazing. I went with a group of five and got to try a couple of things. Salad was amazing (that's strange to write but true) Tenderloin was great, chicken tenders are homemade not premise. I was very impressed. This is one of the best lunch spots in town. I'm sure dinner is just as good. I highly recommend and ask for Margot if you want a fun night waitress.
