Farmscape did an awesome job on my backyard garden project!!…read more Lara came all the way to Mountain View and spent a whole hour discussing the project with me. She was passionate about the project and very transparent about what she believes is best practice for backyard gardening. We spent several weeks after our initial consultation discussing the project and budget, and Lara was extremely patient with my questions, ideas, and changes. She also made every effort to explain why certain things should be this way(I tried to maximize planting space by adding a lot of raised beds with narrow paths, but it's important to mind the aesthetics because it's in your backyard not an actual farm & pay attention to your comfort level when moving around in the garden). After we agreed on start date, the crew came and completed the project within a week. They were also super patient and always willing to stop to answer questions or make minor adjustments. We absolutely love the end result and can't wait to schedule a Fall consultation with Farmscape to plan for Fall! Also, whatever soil they used I'd like some more, my veggies are growing SO fast.

We replaced all the irrigation, built an entire new area with raised beds, replaced a rock wall and flagstone. The team was great and really focused on doing quality work. I'd highly recommend them from anything big to small.

This review is describing my experience with everything pet bird related at this store: cage, food,…read moretoy selection; cleanliness and organization; and the worst part--that they sell birds. Not only do they sell birds, but they house the birds in a tiny, cramped, windowless room in tiny cages, with one fluorescent ceiling light and what appears to be no human interaction or fresh air or appropriate light. The room is about the size of my bedroom, and there are cages stacked to the ceiling full of birds, but the cages are tiny. Back when I didn't know any better in the '90s, I purchased two parrots from pet stores, as "hand-raised babies," but those stores had all the birds in appropriately sized cages with sunlight and lots of toys and out time with visitors if you sanitized your hands. They felt out the potential owners and didn't sell birds to just anyone. Now I know better, as I volunteer with a local parrot rescue that has to turn away hundreds of unwanted pet birds a year on top of the hundreds they take in. One of those volunteer duties is doing home visits for the adoption applicants, and one took me this week to near this store, and the applicant told me about it and showed me this terrible-looking seed mix they purchased there for pets. So I stopped by this store to see what/why they were selling, and the sad and crowded windowless bird-commodity room made me cry. I left in tears. I had first browsed the shelves for toys and food, and I found the shelves unorganized, out of stock on several items, and the floors dirty. Plus a cat running around. And the cages they were selling were all tiny as well. Here's something significant and equally emotional. Under "pets" on the front page of their website, they strongly encourage adopting from shelters for dogs and cats. SO WHY NOT BIRDS? Birds live longer, are more complicated, are often more intelligent and with more complex needs, and our rescues are overrun! WHY?!?! (Profit! And it's terrible.) This is their own words--why don't they believe this for birds??!! They should contact every rescue on the West Coast and find out how overrun we are. "We have in stock a selection of small pets which include birds, fish, rodents, reptiles, amphibians, and arachnids. If you are looking for a pet kitty or pooch, we HIGHLY urge you to check out the local shelter where there are great animals looking for loving homes. Mike's Feed & Pets does not sell dogs or cats but we do have a complete line of products to help you care for them"

**Exceptional Service from Maria in the Paint Department**…read more I would like to recognize Maria at the San Leandro Home Depot for the outstanding assistance she provided during my visit. I was working on a home project and needed help selecting the correct paint and related supplies. Maria took the time to make sure I got exactly what I needed. She even spoke with the person I had on the phone to confirm the details so there would be no confusion. She also helped me find the right products for removing paint from cabinet hardware and other project materials. Throughout the process, Maria was knowledgeable, patient, professional, and genuinely invested in helping me complete my project successfully. Her guidance gave me confidence that I was purchasing the right products, and she made what could have been a stressful experience much easier. The level of care and attention she provided stood out and made a lasting impression. **Thank you, Maria, for your excellent customer service, patience, and expertise. Your willingness to take the time to help me throughout my project made a real difference, and I truly appreciate it. Home Depot is fortunate to have someone as dedicated and knowledgeable as you.** **A very grateful customer** Lady Cj

I wouldn't recommend going to Moreland Pumpkin Patch if you're planning on doing the family walk…read more It was quite expensive at $15 per person, even for my 2yo. We lined up at our 730pm check-in time and waited 35 minutes in the cold and were only halfway through the line. We left because it would have been another 25-35 more minutes to get through the line. However, the staff was great and the carnival games were fun. Nice to have all of the thoughtful decorations as well, our child loved playing with all of the pumpkins.

This patch is cute…read more The haunted trail costs $15 per person and there are scheduled appointment times to go in, however the line backs up and you have to wait at least 30 minutes past your appointment time before entering. We did not enter the trail until 720pm, and that is after getting in line at 640pm. Just be aware. Which is fine, my family had fun and the actors inside are funny and well rehearsed. However, since we waited so long, we got out of the trail around 750pm. My kid wanted to play the carnival games, which close at 8pm, so we bought some tickets to play, and were out to the carnival by 752pm, they had already taken everything down and had only a few simple games still up. My kid was bummed, but I figured since there were no refunds, I could go back and get a snack instead with my tickets. I was denied and told to come back next week to redeem the tickets. I know this is all for a good cause and it really isn't too big of a deal, but it is silly that I literally bought the tickets within a minute and then walked back after the carnival being closed and then denied to even use the tickets on anything else and then told to come back next week. They were told not to sell any tickets since they were closing up the carnival early, but I guess it wasn't communicated well. I guess we will be back to use up the tickets next weekend...?
