I have gone here before for my key fob but not for my car battery. I walked in and the gentleman at the counter immediately helped me and confirmed my battery would need replacement. He quickly found the battery I needed and sent out another co-worker to start the installation. And once we were done at the register he went to help with installation. I was out of there in 20 mins and my car started! I should have got their names but I was in a slight state of panic I didn't ask or look. My son's air filter cord needed to be replaced. Hardware stores used to do things like that, but every other place we called told us they couldn't help. We found Sayfee's in the old-school phone book and were told "bring it in and I'll take a look." The owner showed my teen son how to open up the air filter and deep clean it, and when that didn't do the trick, he rewired the appliance for us for a very reasonable price. I'm not one to toss things in the landfill that are repairable, so I was thrilled to find someone close to home who could fix it for us! The place is nondescript from the outside, but the personal service inside is worth a visit! We'll be Sayfee's customers going forward.

Consider somewhere else. I called a few places the day before inquiring about a single axel tilt bed equipment trailer. I had a couple local options that had similar prices and a trailer in stock, but my family and I have rented from Cresco a handful of times over the years so I decided to go with them first. I recognized the voice on the phone and have worked with him before, a very nice and helpful gentleman. He told me they only have a single axel in stock which was capped at 4K lbs. No problem, this isn't the first time I've rented a trailer for this purpose, so I knew that with the battery conversion, my lifts gross weight is just around 2,800.. with a typical single axel tilt trailer, around a combined 3,400lbs. So, I make plans to pick up the trailer in the morning. I show up at 8am inquiring about the trailer and unfortunately the guy on the phone isn't there. The two guys in the front office ask me about the model lift I have and what the lift height was. Knowing these guys won't know my lift because it's an older rare brand, I respond "it's a standard size 3k gross pound scissor lift", and the guy sitting in the chair asks again, rudely, "what's the MODEL of the lift". I get it, height generally dictates the weight, but this isn't always the case. So I give it to him and it clearly doesn't register. The other guy heads out to check out my car, while the other larger fella who can't be bothered to stand up, interrogates me more while he rolls about on his office chair. "No, you're going to need a dual axel...". I explain that's not correct, their 4k cap trailer will be fine because I'm well under 3,000 lbs and the right size. The other guy comes back in and tells the lazy fella that I have a "4x4 Crosstrek", prompting the big guy to say, "you need a 1/2 ton truck, you can't tow with that". I don't know where this guy gets off thinking he knows what cars can tow what.. but my Crosstrek is rated for 3,500 lbs, manufacturer specifications. Meaning, not only can I tow this trailer fine, but I can even tow it loaded with my lift, if I wanted. I explain to the lazy big guy, "I'm just picking this up now and will be hooking it up to my truck when I get back..." he cuts me off and says, "doesn't matter, your car can't handle the weight, we're responsible if you crash, it has to be a 1/2 ton truck or larger, that trailer has surge breaks". First, BS.. these guys bare no responsibility for any crashes I cause and their contract and insurance waiver makes sure of it. Second, I of course don't expect them to break their rules, but the fine print in their terms specifies tow capacity, not the size of your truck. So I ask him calmly, "where does it say '1/2 ton' and not weight cap", he cuts me off again "doesn't matter, your brakes can't handle the trailer, the trailer has SURGE brakes.. do you get that, it has SURGE brakes.. your car doesn't have the power to stop it", I asked him to please not talk to me like I was stupid. The problem is, this lazy bumpkin doesn't understand that my car is much more capable stopping with its 4 wheel oversized disk brakes than most peoples 3/4 ton pickups which have weak drum brakes on the back. Again, I'm only towing an EMPTY, 1300lb tilt trailer with my very capable "4x4" Crosstrek. I don't even owe it to them to tell them what I'm towing, since I'm fully responsible. He repeats, "you need a 1/2 ton..". It was clear this wasn't a discussion, just wasted time in a condescending tone. I finally had enough of this guys rude attitude. I've debated him because he is wrong, but I've been polite up until now. His ignorance is messing with my plans and he's being extremely offensive with the way he's talking to me. So I throw it back. "You know what, ufck you guys. you're making things up and you're being extremely rude and talking to me like I'm stupid." As I walk out to take my business elsewhere, I turn around at the door, look straight at the big guy, still rolling around instead of walking, and repeat, "you are a very rude person". This is where I make a promise to myself to leave them a review. He responds, "good... good.. .. I LOVE it!".... What a prick! Well I hope you love this review too. This guy has literally been here since the age of time, quite possibly the manager.. he clearly doesn't care anymore. I leave and call their local competition. Same trailer capacity, same price. I show up, hook it up and head out without the grief given to me by Cresco. We've tried to work with B&G through our home warranty company several times over the years with…read morelittle success. (2 repairs were completed - the most recent repair was never scheduled. Below is where I'll explain: I believe B&G has qualified technicians in the Owner and his brother, which is why I'm giving an extra star, but the company is just too understaffed to handle service calls that require them to coordinate with a third party home warranty company(HWC). If you are lucky enough and your HWC gets through to them, then you are at the mercy of the company Owner, Hayrol, to call you back. According to his office dispatcher he is the only authorized person to schedule these types of service calls. (for the record - I called 3-4 times in November and was never called back - even after explaining that I could wait for a few weeks for the repair due to Covid). I completely understand why he would want to control this aspect of the scheduling - warranty companies struggle with technicians on the upfront deductible payment (usually $60-75) that needs to be paid upon arrival. Techs don't like contacting the HWC to provide an initial diagnosis, which is required by the HWC in order to approve the repair. Instead B&G prefers to dive into the repair when they are onsite (makes sense). Lastly, they don't like waiting to be paid a few weeks after service is completed. Again, understandable for a small family owned company with 1 or 2 techs. I just think B&G should part ways with HWC's if they either don't want to work with HWCs or unable to handle the home warranty repair process. It would save everyone time and energy. If you are not using a HWC and carry a check book then B&G might work well for you. I'm not slamming their work necessarily, just their ethics/practices when they represent themselves as being able to work with HWC's when in actuality, they don't.
