They need to really check their rescue people. We wanted to adopt from Barbie Ferro in NJ and East Texas. She brought us 2 very skinny puppies with worms and wouldn't let us bring them to the vet. Then took them from us over a month later under false pretence. At that point, we had already dewormed them and they both were an awesome weight. They weren't the amasiated puppies we had gotten in the beginning. We also had them trained to go outside, walk on a leash and sit & stay. She is discussing and shouldn't be rescuing any animals. She admitted to my husband and I that she usually forgot to feed them or only fed them once a day. Discussing!

You see a dog you would like to adopt, fill out all the online forms, then nobody gets back to you. Brilliant!

More importantly the saltwater fish look very healthy. I understand that there is algae on the glass due to the lightning for customers to view. But exceptional job!

I had one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had at this Petco grooming salon,…read moreentirely because of the store manager, Alejandra. I brought my dog in for her scheduled grooming appointment. She had a small amount of matting, which I acknowledged from the beginning, and I had absolutely no issue paying the additional dematting fee. My dog is professionally groomed every month, and she had actually been groomed in New York just two weeks earlier. There is simply no scenario in which she went from a normal grooming to being so severely matted that shaving was the only humane option. Instead of assessing her properly or discussing reasonable alternatives, Alejandra immediately insisted that my dog had to be shaved. It felt as though the priority was finishing the appointment as quickly as possible rather than providing the service I had booked and paid for. What made the experience unacceptable was not just the disagreement about grooming. It was the way I was treated. Alejandra told me that I was a bad dog owner and implied that I was hurting my dog. That was incredibly disrespectful, completely unprofessional, and factually inaccurate. My dog is groomed regularly, receives consistent veterinary care, and I specifically brought her in to address the small amount of matting before it became a larger issue. Shaming customers instead of educating them is not acceptable. To make matters worse, after refusing to perform the appointment I had scheduled, she asked me to come back to the store in person to schedule another appointment. She had already wasted approximately 40 minutes of my time, refused to honor my existing appointment, and then expected me to invest even more time because of a problem she had created. I left, booked with another groomer, and they had no issue caring for my dog appropriately without resorting to shaving. A manager sets the standard for customer service. If this interaction reflects the leadership at this location, I would strongly recommend taking your pet elsewhere. Pet owners deserve honesty, professionalism, and respect, not insults and unnecessary ultimatums.

When we started, Spoon could be unpredictable and we weren't always sure how to help him succeed. Through her guidance, patience, and consistency, he's become a much more confident and well-behaved dog. He now follows a routine, responds to commands, and has successfully transitioned into her group walks twice a week. What impressed us most is how in tune she is with dogs and their behavior. She has a natural ability to understand what they need while also teaching owners how to communicate with them effectively. As first-time dog owners, that support was invaluable. We're so grateful for everything she's done for Spoon and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and caring trainer.

She brought a few dogs from her pack to one of our training sessions and walked us through a structured desensitization exercise, which was incredibly effective. After just one session, we saw a clear improvement and have had very few issues with our dog outside since. Janelle is straightforward, knowledgeable, and clearly understands dog behavior. We appreciated her practical approach and the results we saw so quickly. We'd absolutely recommend her if you're looking for real progress.

This review is for the staff only, not the veterinarian. We…read morecame in because our dog has urethral stones and needs surgery. After checking in, we were brought back and the doctor came in within minutes. Unfortunately, his bedside manner was extremely cold and non-empathetic from the start. He attempted an ultrasound and immediately told us our dog needed surgery that same day or his bladder could burst and he could die -- but then said they were not equipped to perform the surgery. The only other option he presented was euthanasia. Our dog is only two years old, and the way this was delivered was very blunt and alarming, with no compassion or reassurance. At one point, he even commented that these dogs are "cute but very expensive" and that we should be prepared, which felt insensitive given the situation. He provided an estimate for surgery but still said he couldn't perform it and couldn't guarantee availability for Monday. He also gave us pricing for euthanasia. The entire interaction lasted about 10 minutes and left me feeling overwhelmed and distressed. That said, the front desk staff completely changed the experience. As I walked out visibly upset, Arianna and the other team members immediately stepped in with kindness and empathy. They took the time to talk with me, provided helpful information, and referred us to another hospital that might be able to help at a lower cost. Their compassion truly made a difference in a very difficult moment. If you're looking for empathetic bedside manner from a veterinarian, I would suggest looking elsewhere. The doctor was disappointing, but the staff deserves recognition for their care and support

I take him to Ocean Ave Vet Hospital and in TWO HOURS not 25 hours later, TWO HOURS, they tell me he has a pancreatitis. How sway? The fact is they looked at me and assumed I couldn't afford the blood work needed to help my cat and would rather have him die than do their jobs! This is not the first time they have done this. In fact, when he had a medical emergency they told me that he couldn't get a MRI to look at his brain bc he has seizures. His seizures put him at risk and it's probably nothing! A couple of months later when I brought my cat back the ER doctor said he was going to have to sedate him. I told him not to bc of what the last SPCA doctor said and he said that wasn't true. Then u see his breath said "probably thought you couldn't afford it." The SPCA

In my particular case, I was looking for a small, hypoallergenic dog, which was difficult to find. After months of checking their adoption page, I finally found the perfect puppy who fits so seamlessly into our family. She is incredibly sweet and transformed almost instantly after coming home with us, from a shy, shivering little pup to an absolute terror in the best way possible! The staff was wonderful, helpful, knowledgeable, and very informative throughout the entire process. I also appreciated how thorough they were, providing all the supplies we needed for the first few days and taking every precaution to ensure a smooth transition. On top of that, the facility was clean, organized, and clearly well cared for. We're so grateful to have found our newest family member here!

Always more of a dog person. But I was worried because of her age she might be on a shortlist for something trickier - especially after first coming to animal control and gaining 4 pounds. But we took to each other immediately. And she seemed to be one sweet healthy cat attached at the hip to me, attached to my people, and patient with dogs and cats in the house for sitting. Have been crushed since but thank you ASPCA tor everything. Even after years I together and tons of water bowlers, routine, cuddles, play time, and a two bedroom with a full kitchen, bathroom, and living room, a litter robot, cat trees and plenty's of scratchers, I discovered she had kidney disease (CkD) at age 18, she lasted another year.
