04/04/2018 Last week, Mike and Steve of Petraglia Services mounted our large television above the fireplace in our new home in Winthrop. Considering that the home was newly renovated, we were initially a bit hesitant about the work that would accompany needing to safely secure the TV to the wall as well as the work it would take to create a an additional power source to ensure everything could operate appropriately. Prior to installation, Mike came over to do a walk thru and was also able to coordinate with the cable company (Comcast) to be certain that the wiring would be done correctly and in the least invasive manner. On the day of installation, Mike and Steve were not only punctual and attentive to our concerns but were very thorough in explaining the process step by step. Above all, we were incredibly impressed with the cleanliness and attention to detail they ensured. After the TV was mounted, they patched up the wall entirely and painted. We have had several family members and friends visit our house since then and most of them have commented on the quality of their work. I recently moved and needed to have a 50 inch TV mounted on the wall. I emailed Mike for a quote and he followed up within an hour. He was more than happy to come out and do the work after I got home from work and scheduled for the following evening. The following day he had to reschedule (it was storming and the previous job was running over). ****but he was extremely apologetic and took $$ off the original quote to accommodate for the inconvenience. He ended up coming by the next day and arrived on time (**actually 20 mins early which was great!). I know nothing about TV's and mounting them and he was very patient and discussed my options for the placement/ what would work best with the layout of the room. **I also liked that Mike was very easy to get in touch with and would text me to keep me updated on his arrival. This was my first time hiring a handyman (I'm a 25 year old girl) and I am so glad I called Mike, he was extremely professional, knowledgeable and personable. Never ever use this man to do a thing in the house for you. First of all, I was not impressed with the way Michael presented himself. Covered in Tattoos and had somewhat of an asshole presentation, yes you ALL know what I am talking about. I think he thinks very highly of himself for being someone who only mounts TVs. When I did my research on him, which consisted of social media I realized after that it was a huge mistake in hiring him to "hang my tv". I mean any moron can do that. I recently injured my arm so I was unable to lift the tv but I mean come on do you really think your going to make a living off this?? Mind blowing. What's even more mind blowing is letting a previous addict into people's homes where they have expensive significant items. This makes me very uneasy. Needless to say if you want a cocky, arrogant individual in your house with a bunch of "friends" with the same issue has him then go ahead and hire them!!! read more

Should have trusted the negative reviews. We moved to an apartment near the city and I saw this advertised on Facebook, so I gave it a shot. The owner, Mike, is as unprofessional as they come, no clue how they're still in business. Me, being the customer, had to work around this buffoons schedule, that should have been my warning. We were set up for a Monday morning, Monday morning comes and this guy ignores my calls and texts. Calls me two days later saying he had some sort of family emergency. Same thing happened when I rescheduled. Never called him again. Read a review that said something very similar to my experience, so clearly it wasn't an isolated incident. He clearly doesn't know how to run a business, total slacker and a bit shady. Don't make my mistake, trust the bad reviews and avoid this unprofessional 'business'. read more

My experience with this business was about a month ago. My boyfriend and I wanted an entertainment system mounted in our new place. Everything seemed fine until this guy Mike, who I assume was the owner, started flaking literally every time we set up an appointment. He'd call me the morning of and say he had some sort of emergency, or that something 'came up'...WTH?! What kind of way is that to run a business? He would ignore my texts asking when he was available, and then call 2 days later trying to apologize. By the third emergency he allegedly had, I went with someone else (Huntington Home Systems) who did a great job. This business, and it's owner were terribly unreliable and incredibly unprofessional, I do not recommend. read more

On Sunday 11/11/18 I used Petraglia Services to set up my new television and sound bar. Mike was originally supposed to come at 1pm, but he finished up a previous Job and came to me an hour earlier. There were two guys that showed up and they were awesome. Knew exactly what they were doing, and the actual set-up took less than an hour. He made sure that the everything worked, programmed my remote, set the color, cleaned up and everything. Very professional and knowledgeable. After seeing Petraglia Services do an almost total renovation of one of the other units in the building I live in, I hired them to do some renovations for me. They did an outstanding job installing some french doors, mounting my flat screen TV and doing some other odd jobs around my condo. In the upstairs unit, they removed the old drop ceilings, put in new fans and lighting, painted the walls, restored the 100 year old hard wood flooring, and put new flooring in the kitchen. We contacted Petraglia Services upon moving into our new home. After a few conversations with Mike ( the owner ) we decided to move forward with them. They were fairly priced, and their catalog of work was great! Mike was prompt, and always showed up early. After having some nightmare contractor stories, we couldn't have been happier with the results. Not only did Mike help us with choosing locations for all of our televisions and mounting them, he did an unbelievable job tileing our new bathroom floor. I contacted Petraglia Services to assemble a piece of furniture that i purchased from Wayfair. Michael returned my call within 15 (complete gentleman and very professional) this was my first time hiring someone random to come to my home, but after a few calls back and fourth with Michael i felt very confident in him being a reliable person. Mike is great at what he does, whether it be installing a theater system in your home or fixing any electrical issue you have as well as installing new electrical. Petraglia Services did an amazing job on both mounting our 65" TV and installing 4 new ceiling fans in our house. He was totally professional and polite and it was a pleasure to have him work for us. He was with his father who was also great. They did a perfect job. Everything looks perfect and they left our house clean and like they'd never been there. Bought a condo in the Millennium Tower with almost zero lighting, luckily I found Mike and his crew. Super accommodating to my schedule and amazing professionalism. Absolutely beautiful work. Mike made the whole process easy.
